Yes Billy Cox was brilliant. Not a great hitter, but incredible with the glove. While he was before my time, everyone who I've talked to who saw him tells me he was the best fielder ever at 3rd. And who set in stone the rule that 3rd was an offensive position. When a team like Brooklyn had so much firepower, (Ah imagine an offensive juggernaut of a Dodger team), Cox was worth every highlight he provided. When Billy was traded from Brooklyn it was to Baltimore, where he tutored and immediately preceded Brooks Robinson at 3rd for the Orioles.

How can anyone not vote for Billy Cox? He was Brooks Robinson before Brooks Robinson. Had there been the Gold Glove award he would have won it for 7 or 8 straight years. When you think of 3rd basemen in the history of the Dodgers, there are only 2 Cox & Cey....... as good as Beltre was, remember the era that he is from.... steroids
