Although I think Hugh Laurie should have won by now, Jon Hamm was astounding in 'The Suitcase' which was the ep he submitted. I don't rate his chances, but Buscemi great too.

Such a hard choice between my 2 FAVORITE SHOWS and leading men! I love Hugh Laurie and HOUSE, but I can't get enough of Michael C. Hall and DEXTER!!! I love that man! LOL When they are between seasons, I read the Dexter series.... they go in a different direction than the show, but are wonderful!!!

I saw few comments stating it cost to watch other shows and i agree with one of the gentlemen stating internet helps. Well am from India were there is no house played on prime time, we are still with friends. I have watched every single episode of house season 1 to 7 almost 10 times. It has to be HOUSE and who else should win it. I can not wait for season 8 and hope not its the last season. Thanks and all the best Mr House.

Hugh Laurie is an incredibly talented actor and definitely deserves the award. House is the best show on TV, if I had to chose one show to be able to watch, it would be House!
hugh who plays house, is an exceptional actor. he puts all he has got into playing the role. he has talent beyond compare. on the internet i have looked up his acting skills in england. his comic side really shows as well as his serious side. seems to me that hes an all around actor.

Hugh Laurie is in fact the most talented choice and entertaining choice on the list, but Michael C. Hall and Kyle Chandler deserve a hell of a lot more votes than just 6%. House is a great show, but Dexter is pretty much just as good, and Friday Night Lights is not far behind. Facebook promoting House and sending a link to this page definitely crippled the voting.
Love both Hugh Laurie & Jon Hamm - tough decision. But, series - Madmen - is a bit more interesting. All the characters are notable.
In House - there are moments of triteness & boredom - none the fault of Hugh Laurie though. There are some mainstays & brought backs which should have been left in the wastebasket.
Don't care for Doctor 13 @ all. Preferred the younger, heavier, genius, overwieight young female med student they replaced with 13's comeback. Also, not meaning to sound racially bigoted - but - think the 'token' African-American doctor is a bore. Wish they would replace him with a more interesting character - race unimportant.
As a matter of fact, I think it odd that in a NYC hospital so many Drs. & health care professionals ARE NOT of a variety of ethnic & racial backgrounds. Dislike 'token-ness'. The token black, the token Jew, the token woman - I think it's limiting, insulting & ridiculous!!

Hugh Laurie! None of the other actors in this category have to do half the work Mr. Laurie does!!! He has to memorize huge amounts of medical terminology, walk with a limp, and cover up a British accent. He should have gotten the Emmy YEARS ago. If he doesn't get the award this year, I think the judges are blind, deaf, and dumb!!!! Good luck Mr. Laurie :)

Someone stated that people are mad because they can't watch the better shows because of money... Well with the internet these days, you can watch all these shows, so I don't think that is the problem. Although I happen to love Dexter (awesome show, and actor)... but House is a great show... Hugh deserves all the attention he gets.. So good luck to both shows...

Deffinitely Hugh, look at all the stuff he can pull off! He's crippled, plays an American accent better than most Americans. He battles drug addiction AND he still makes all his points crystal clear. You can really feel like you're part of the show! Hugh Laurie by far!!
