What an awesome brave passionate man. He is creative, and Knows about Love, Jesus, loves us, and wants us to be happy. And this pastor knows it. Irreverent? Huh? I see only Love, laughter and a desire for Rev. Nelms to share that with everyone. What a real testimony. Thanks Joe

the goal of a prayer is to say something to god. Theres no specify way to talk to god. you need to go with your heart.this pastor juss did it. the catholic religion may be perceived like boring by lots of people and our kids are just no more beleiving. This guy is a Hero. he showed the cool way of religion.

This idiot calls himself a pastor? I'm sure the Baptist Church will have something to say about that! If it were ok to 'joke' about praying to God, we would hear it quite often. I'm 53 and have never heard this before from a so-called 'pastor'. Furthermore....if that water buffalo looking thing next to him in the photo is his "smoking hot" wife, I'd hate to see what he calls ugly!!!!!

Ezra 9, Daniel 9, Nehemiah 9, and John 17 are just a few of the many prayers contained in Scripture. None of these prayers resorted to silliness/"humor". Jesus said when we pray, we are to pray to "our Father who is in heaven, whose name is hallowed (holy)." No where in Scripture do I find the prophets or Apostles resorting to this type of prayer. When praying/approaching God, we should do so with the attitude of Isaiah who said: "Woe is me. I am a man of unclean lips." Isaiah was in AWE of being in God's presence; he didn't resort to stand-up comedy. Ecclesiates 5:2 also states we should be very careful how talk to God. That's problem with churches today--people don't revere God, see Him as the Holy God, Creator that He is.

God gave us a model in His Word to teach us how to pray. So, there is a defined way to pray. This prayer was disrespectful and irreverent to a Holy God. If he was trying to impress the crowd, he should have made a speech. The purpose of prayer is to talk to God.

The Almighty is just that. In prayer, you are speaking with him, through the saviour, Jesus Christ. You should speak with reverence. Anything else is mockery.
