Have you supported any club team prior to the Union? If so, who would you support if the Union faced your favorite club team?

I was never a big fan of soccer until the Union but have since become quite a Napoli fan. I could never chose one of them over the other. I don't think that means I'm any less a Union fan. I believe it makes me loyal no matter what the circumstances.

Personally i’d probably just sit back and enjoy the game. It will never ever ever happen (my other team are Peterhead, who play in lower division Scotland) – however, i really have no idea who i would support. If i HAD to – it would probably be Peterhead as i’ve been a fan longer though (so if i could answer twice it wouldn’t be the Union option). The whole idea that you have to have strong local ties to your team is all a fallacy in my opinion though. Whatever the reason, if you support a team with all you have – that’s important.

This happened to me last Wednesday. I was an Everton fan long before I was a Union fan, and I wore an Everton shirt to PPL. But when I was watching the academy game, I could not root against the Union--they were overmatched and I couldn't do it. During the senior game I put a navy shirt over my Everton #9 shirt, sat in the River End and sang for the Union (but of course could not direct anything negative toward the men in blue). I cheered for all of them as they came off the field. Except maybe Heitinga, who is a twat.
