While Kim's diagnosis is regrettable, I think it affords her a truly unique oportunity to inspire women everywhere. Yes, Kim is beautiful and built...but her skin condition shows that she isn't perfect. Should she decide to make the most of her condition and to make strides in whatever path she chooses in life, Kim will serve as a classy example of how young women everywhere can live a happy, quality life....even if they aren't perfect.

This poll has one too few response categories. In truth whether or not this ends her career depends largely on how serious it becomes and how difficult it becomes to control. She can probably fully contain it with one of the biological treatments, such as Humira or Enbrel, both of which suppress the T-cells thought to attack the skin, but the downside if greater vulnerability to infections like cold and flu.

A really mild case can be contained by even over the counter cortizone cream, and it will have zero effect on her career, while a severe case could wind up with crusts over as much as 85% of her body and definitely end her career. I suspect the safest treatment is actually spending more time in the California sun without sunstop or other skin protection or using narrow band UV-B treatments, which will give her a more tanned look. Sunlight kills the relevant below skin T-cells without the cost of medicines, but taking that route she would need to be vigilant in watching for skin cancer, so it is caught and removed early on.

She should also find out if she she has enough Vitamin D in her especially since the standard for normal has recently been sharply increased. At her apparent age she needs either 20 minutes a day of unprotected sun exposure OR vitamin D supplements of sufficient dosage.
