My vote goes towards Jason's SF3 picture for the followin reasons, Jason Richardson's picture automatically caught my attention. Not only is the graphic content done exceptionally well, the colors just seemed to "pull me in". It really has a CAPCOM feel towards it. Respect.

The ensemble picture by Jason Richardson is my clear favorite. We certainly have some terrific pieces here with a decent variety of individual character "portraits" to vote for, but overall I found Jason's to be the most sensible in terms of core layout concept...The end result manages to be cleverly and dynamically presented. Good luck to all entrants!

Jason's picture has all the right on spot for the game. It hits each beat that was all about SF3. I have to give it to my main man there. Kudos.

Jason- just amazing....

They are all great but Jason's depiction is spot-on! He took into consideration the impact of Chun-Li's return along with including numerous characters on his piece (as did the original Super Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike Cover), all flowing quite nicely. Kudos to Jason Richardson's entry - it got my vote!

I like Jason's because i don't have to pick just one character that i like from the streetfighter game.
Cryo, how could you say that OE's the only one meeting the criteria when my poster includes every character in the game several times over? Just a bit confused by your logic...
Best of luck to all of the contestants!

Yes I would definitely have to agree with Cryo. Jason's OE Character Roster is like the only one that is legit in this contest. Plus, I'm a sucker for Chun Li anyway, and the detail is so precise that it just blew me away! Jason's SFIII OE Character Roster definitely gets my vote!!! FTW!

just voted for u, good luck bro!!! Hugo vs Alex
Cryo - 14 years ago
I'm voting for the OE character roster. Not only is it the most beautiful (I love a Chun Li focus), but it's the only one I saw that actually met the criteria. This was a SFIII contest, not an individual character contest.
Plus, it's the only one with a real... "CAPCOM" feel to it. Like it's an MvC3 take on SFIII

Lovin' Jason's "SFIII OE Character Roster"! Gave methe chills! Lovin' the energy and layout, makes me wanna play the game even more now. Definitely my favorite!

Rob's "Makoto" was well colored, but the cuttoffs of light just didnt seem very realistic for me because of the placement of & lack of shadows in various areas of the image.
Creativity: 6/10
Execution: 7/10
Ravelle17's "Collage of Ryu" was an interesting unique and interesting piece to view. It's a little distracting seeing the various colors of the component pieces of it, but that's just what makes it show that quite a bit of effort and time was spent on it.
Creativity 9/10
Execution: 9/10
I just did a mini-review of all the pictures...
Tuan's "Yang" was a nice piece, but seemed kinda flat. Specifically i'm referring to the contrast of everything, seems like the bright patches are too blinding while the subject just blends in with the background...nothing really pops out to draw my attention.
Creativity: 7/10
Execution: 7/10
Isias's "Hugo VS Alex" showed some creativity, in the sense that it took a poster approach.. but there's wayy too much going on amongst the text being used in this poster. 3 fonts should be the max if you were to make something like this. For poster text, "less is more" is the principle to go by.
I'm disappointed that Hugo and Alex weren't even colored!!! And think about placement here, they're supposed to be heavy weight champions about to have the greatest fight in the world, and yet in this poster they're holding hands?!? What the hell? Are they lovers??? The sold out thing is attracting tons of more attention to me than anything else in the poster because of the color...that's bad. And lastly, if you were gonna use the 3rd strike online edition logo, i'd at least enlarge it enough to make it visible to see all of the text in that logo = /...this definitely needs work.
Creativity: 7/10
Execution: 4/10
Isias's "Remy" was a bit more visually appealing compared to "Hugo VS Alex" though whatever filter it is that you applied to the background to make it have cracks that look like it's paint chipping...doesnt really work. The background is supposed to have some 3-dimensionality to it as it's not just a solid wall, it should be curving...but that crack filter jut makes it look like Remy's posing in front of a piece of cracked linoleum wallpaper that has a picture of some windows...it's not very appealing at all. Posterization effect on Remy works, but again, the background is too distracting.
Creativity: 7/10
Execution: 6/10
Jason's "SFIII OE Character Roster" was superb. Well done usage of tones and the composition of the characters were well thought out. This kind of reminds of my MVCII arcade stick's plate design which I found to be very appealing. Only issue i have is the relative sizes of everyone seems to be alternating from small to gigantic even in the middle of the frame so it creates an unusual flow that don't seem to fit 100% to how we'd imagine them in the game.
Creativity: 9/10
Execution: 9/10
Asim's "Yun" is truly a magnificent piece in terms of lighting, composition, color, and detail. I felt like I were looking into an actual movie scene while looking at this image. The closeup detail of Yun's mugshot with the raindrops were a wonderful touch as it shows the amount of thought and detail put into this project. The background selection is perfect to accentuate the character but it doesn't detract any attention away from him. One look at the picture and you just feel that Yun is definitely the main subject here. Needless to say, this is what got my vote.

Lovin the Hugo vs Alex!
Very hard to choose only one !!
Makoto was also excellent as well as the OE Roster.
But I will vote for Yun !! :-)
definitely adds to Lau's artwork. Better than just the normal cut and paste and make it look neat. this one definitely stands out to me.
