+1 for Portland, OR. It would be awesome to have it here. Plus I really want to go, but I am burning up a lot of my vacation for this cruise thing in Feb. next year (hell yes :) ), so if it ends up to far away I might not get to go. //Dylan

It would be great if you did it in a different location every year so everyone will have a chance to go eventually, and those who can travel can travel. I wasn't sure what to pick since I'm in Austin, TX- southwest? South east? Other? Austin is a GREAT city for this find of festival- we already have the resources for SXSW and ACL, and a HUGE fan base. And people are already used to traveling to Austin for those things. If it ends up somewhere different every year, Austin has got to be on the short list of where to host. I'm just thinking with the economy the way it is (and the trauma of the last week or so), the only way you're going to give the most fans the best opportunity to come to this is if you bring it as close to them as possible. If you only ever had it, say, on the west coast, or east coast, I would never be able to go at this level of income and with so little vacation time.

Due to the almost complete bifurcation of responses, you should have two: one in San Fran or Seattle, the other in Boston or NYC. That way one coast doesn't have to migrate to the other to experience the complete awesomeness that is w00tstock and that will be the official w00tstock. (And let the midwesterners migrate; it won't be a six hour flight for them. Or do three, one in the Midwest as well.).
