Should the sheriff’s office have disciplined Ms. Griffin?

    but the fact that no one but her was injured in it self should say there is no need for more punishment. Who was driving, really. And she will most likely not be a danger to the public again. Pay the damages caused by the wreak. If she had hurt my family then that puts a different spin on it. Let it go it's the right thing to do.

    If the person involved in the boating accident had been John Q. Public he would have been charged with boating under the influence. And for all those, including the sheriff, who feels the former deputy suffered enough stop and think how you would feel if this deputy had hit your boat while you were out in the same waterway, or what if she had made it to land and drove her vehicle into your family's car. The loss of her arm was self-inflicted and should not have been considered in any discussion of actions against her either by the Sheriff or the State Attorney.
