What percentage of Members of Congress and the Senate READ the debt ceiling bill before voting?

Look, the bill was only 75 pages long, so I do think many of them read it. We are not talking about a bill 2,700 pages here. They don't do anything anyhow, so I think they had time to read the bill. JMO! Of course if Reid was behind it, there was probably a whole bunch of going to page 32 to go to some huge record to find out what page 32 means.

None of them had time to read (with comprehension) a 75 page bill in the 2 hours they were given to do so

The public sure didn't read it, again.

No-one needed to read it. It was already planned the 70 pages was just a rouse.

The market falls over 250 points today, while the professional politicians announce the deficient crisis is over. True, for the moment, the crisis may be over, but to suggest this problem has been resolved is delusional. Truly, the pathological, posturing among our elitists politicians demean the public.

MY GUESS IS THAT MOST OF THEM WERE PREPARING TO 'GET OUT OF DODGE' FOR THE SUMMER BREAK ... ESPECIALLY THE DIMOCRATS WHO ARE NOT KNOWN FOR READING LEGISLATION ... JUST VOTING WHEN THEY ARE TOLD WHO/WHAT TO VOTE FOR.

THE BIGGER FIGHT BEGINS ON SEPTEMBER WHEN THE 2012/2012 BUDGET NEGOTIATIONS BEGIN.

I think a few may have read it, but not thoroughly. Remember, as per Pelosi, 'we have to pass the bill so you can find out what's in it'. Omgosh. I think that's the norm for Congress, to our great dismay.
