Who Do You Think Came Out on Top of the Iowa Republican Presidential Debate?

Some of you people must not really be watching these debates or following the primaries; Herman Cain is out. Also, why is everyone so worked up over Iran, let's talk about China. China just launched their first aircraft carrier & are really building up their military might. Ron Paul has it right, bring everyone one home and rebuild are military. Ron Paul 2012!

I have watched Fox news consistantly for 3 years to get the news that the other networks won't report on..but lately some of the talking heads on Fox are being total hypocrites. They always want to cry foul when the mainstream media glosses over the facts about the Obama administation and other progressive gaffs and screw ups, but they are deliberately ignoring the strong populist voice of Ron Paul, who has a ton of support, because they are really just jealous of the mainstream media and want to try their own hand at manufacturing the front runners. The media is at least halfway responsible for Obama's election. If people can learn anything from this, it should be "Think for yourself and do not rely on the media for anything but sensationalism." At least Fox business has a few free thinkers left.

Ron Paul 2012! I wouldn't mind Bachmann on the ticket with him...I used to be skeptical of him, but the more I find out about him, the more his ideas make sense to me. He has rock solid voting record. I would definitely trust him as president! He has more military support then the other candidates combined. LIBERTY for America!

  • Pamela LaBrake - 13 years ago

Once again Fox News (fair and balanced my as*) ignores the strong second place win by Ron Paul . Ron Paul IS the father of the Tea Party, predicted exactly what is happening in our economy, wants to bring our troops home ASAP (he has the most support of any candidate from the military) he is for life and liberty.

This 51 yr. old Mom and Grandma is a proud supporter of Ron Paul for President 2012 !!!

Once Rick Perry is elected, he should IMMEDIATELY give Timothy Geithner's job to Ron Paul. He'd be great at it. (I'm hoping for a PERRY/RUBIO ticket in 2012.) PERRY/RUBIO would be UNBEATABLE! Newt Gingrich would make an awesome Secretary of State. His historical perspective, no-nonsense toughness and quick come-backs would be invaluable. Herman Cain is the REAL deal, not to mention a VERY likeable gentleman. He has a proven and highly successful business background that could serve America very well at this grave time in our economic history. Give Herman a high position in the administration to help create jobs, deregulate and bring businesses and jobs back to our own soil. Michelle Bachmann should be commended for bringing fiscal responsibility back to the fore, via the Tea Party Express. It IS the single most important issue facing America, and Americans, today. However, I'm just not sure, once she gets out of her home state of Iowa, exactly how well she'll fare amongst the broader national populus. Still, she is a beautiful, intelligent, articulate, classy, hard-working and energetic representative. She also exudes tremendous leadership skills, and should be elected Speaker. In whole, the GOP line-up is very strong this cycle, but the reality is that they all can't be elected. Still, there certainly IS an important place for each and every one of them to serve in the next REPUBLICAN administration, and to help TAKE BACK AMERICA from the throws of O'DICTATOR and his radical SOCIALIST agenda. SOCIALISM is WRONG...WRONG...WRONG...for America!
    GO RICK...GIG 'EM!

This poll attracted a majority of liberals who are interested in separating ourselves from the world, evidenced by the overwhelming Ron Paul vote. Not a balanced poll. I am disappointed in the types of questions asked. They were not so much about the direction of the candidate, but more about the personal issues brought up on the trail. These questions are OK for talking heads but I'm more interested in knowing how the candidates intend to correct our countries problems. My TV normally stays on FOX, but I am disappointed.

  • Bob Fleming - 13 years ago

This "debate" like most of them was a joke. A true debate involves positions on substantive issues which are debated by the participants.

This "debate" was nothing moe than candidates trying to field"gotcha questions" propounded by the media.

  • Joel Manns - 13 years ago

While the question about Newt's campaign may have been fair on Fox News Sunday, it was not appropriate for a debate. The function of a debate is for the participants to present their perspectives, ideas, and solutions to specific issues, and be challenged on them by the others. There is no value in debating how Newt is handling his campaign.

  • Derek - 13 years ago

After watching the debate! Im for Ron Paul! All the other canidates are BIG goverment Republicans who will spend just as much as Obama!

  • grant ellsworth - 13 years ago

Survey should have a 2nd choice/2nd position so we could pick a winner and a runner-up.

  • Megan - 13 years ago

All the people who are saying Ron Paul is crazy should go research other people who thought he was crazy in 2004. All his predictions came true. So will you regret your decision of completely ruling him out, saying he's nutjob, when it's too late? It's appalling to me how we can be taught virtues like "Learn from the past," but there's no true takeaway for them.

  • independant - 13 years ago

Even though not declared yet or at the debate, Rick Perry won the debate, the straw poll and will be the next president

I admit Ron Paul had some better performances (I actually thought Herman Cain came off best last night), but to all of you saying we'll be stuck with Obama if he's the nominee, first I find that quite pessimistic. Second, if the ultimate goal is to have a REAL conservative in office, losing in 2012 would be a better outcome as we could have another shot in 2016 with Rand Paul or Paul Ryan when voters ultimately wake up. If a RINO (Romney, Pawlenty, Santorum, etc.) beats Obama, WE'LL HAVE TO WAIT UNTIL 2024! (RINO runs uncontested for re-election in 2016, Democrat then wins in 2020 from voter fatigue and the new nominee having to defend the RINO's mediocre 2012-2020 record, etc.)

2024 is too late! America will be bankrupt and broken up by then!

On the Iran issue, Ron Paul is right. That country is halfway around the world and even IF they have a nuclear weapon, they have no air force or navy with the capacity to launch a strike on America (not to mention the ample time the U.S. would have to intercept it over the ocean if indeed one is launched). Besides, they would have no reason to if we just kept our noses to ourselves. The "crazy" or "evil" arguments just don't cut it. As primitive as the Iranians are, they are smart enough to know they would be obliterated in a counter-strike if ever they tried anything. As for Israel, they have every right to defend THEMSELVES and they certainly have the capacity to do so. America shouldn't have to keep bankrupting itself just so it can continue defending them. Santorum seemed to forget that he needs the AMERICANS' votes to be elected President of the United States. The Israelis can't vote.

On a final point, the moderators really missed out on an opportunity to question Romney following his statement that he would maintain all current levels of spending for seniors and the military. Bravio, genius! So 90% of the budget can't be touched. Even if you eliminated ALL of the remaining discretionary spending (10%), you're still running a deficit and adding to the debt... unless raising taxes like the Democrats is your plan???

  • Jack T.Grant - 13 years ago

    Kudos to M.Romney, N.Gingrich, M.Bachman and H.Cain. Panel of so-called experts
Were terrible. Fox news is better than that. Terrible questions. PS I don't care who did or didn't vote for a tax on cigarettes, if people want to smoke , if they want to cough of parts of their lungs,
    go for it.

  • Daniel - 13 years ago

Clearly the Ron Paul campaign has usurped this poll because anyone with a brain who was watching the debates would have easily been able to eliminate Paul as a legitimate contender for the nomination. He is off his rocker, a lunatic almost.

  • blackhawk - 13 years ago

I like Ron Paul but I don't think the majority of America will vote for him.I feel the same about Palin and Bachmann although I would take either for V.P.
So far Rick Perry seems like the only one that can beat Obama especially if he takes one of the above as V.P.
I know Paul has a very organized organization and that's probably why he got 1st place in the pool. I'd go for him also as V.P.
I use to like Gingrich but have soured on him.Herman Cain also a good V.P.candidate.
To me the 2nd place team is better than the rest.

  • Nancy ex-Californian - 13 years ago

Disappointed in the debate - most questions focused on 4 candidates - Fox shouldn't be picking the nominee!!! Many questions attacking and not relevant - - and what was with the "submissive to husband" question?? Was that submitted by MSNBC?? Come on - fair and balanced is what I go to Fox for - and what I got was really close to MSNBC

  • Carole - 13 years ago

I was disappointed in all of them.
I vote for Glenn Beck and Rush Limbaugh. We need agressive and fearless leaders, not ones who make false promises EVERY election and don't keep any of them.

  • Dorothy M - 13 years ago

Thank you Fox for your fair and balanced presentation. Candidates DO NOT BASH EACH OTHER publiccly. Stick to the issues. LET US DECIDE.

  • Dorothy McCall - 13 years ago

I think David Cron said it well. I do not agree that Fox did a bad job. I think Brett is a great moderator. Chris Wallace is Chris and best left out of the debates. His questions are too much like the liberal commentators would ask...personal and not to the point of "what policies would you implement?" The moderators need to stick to policies and leave bashing each other completely out of the equation. The Bachmann/Pawlenty discourse did a disservice to both of them an to the audience. We will wait now and see what Rick Perry adds to the group. I, for one, hope he energizes the party. Ron Paul's advvocates evidently were on hand last night and have responded well today, but the man frankly scares me to death (almost as much as Obama but in the opposite direction). Newt is a brilliant man and the only one with much substance in his answers last night.

One thing is sure. Obama has taken our country to the depths of ruin and we need someone to quickly turn us around before it's too late.

  • James C - 13 years ago

Ron Paul is a NUT! Who are you people who like him??? I am a strong conservative, and I want limited government, but Ron Paul is crazy... Why do some people follow him around just to cheer his absurd ideas. Why is this guy a Republican?

I think Rick Santorum won the debate. I came in leaning toward Bachman, but I was extremely impressed with Rick Santorum. He ate Ron Paul up in the debate. I am just not sure why Rick Santorum gets no press? They seem to be giving Ron Paul a lot of press and a lot of time. I wonder if the liberal media is trying to stick with the little whack job so we lose. Just like we got stuck with McCain. We need someone good to beat B.O.

P.S. I do like Ron Paul's son. He seems smart, so what is up with his father...

  • Ruth O'Neill - 13 years ago

Wouldn't it be interesting to set up a poll of "hopeful" Pres/VP combinations from this group? I feel they all have strengths, but if I had to CAST OUT those most to the right or to the left , I would pick Paul and Huntsman.
Next I would like to see these combos to vote on (combining DIFFERENT STRENGTHS):

    Romney and Bachman

    Pawlenty and Santorum

    Gingrich and Cain

However, my GUT FEELING is a team that might BEAT BO .... would be
    Romney and Gingrich
    OR
    Gingrich and Romney !!!

Ron Paul !!!! He thinks that Iran is just wanting to protect itself with nuclear weapons? Just a misunderstood country with a wackjob for a leader? Ron Paul blames the US for 9/11!! Why would we want him to be our presidet. He would be worse than Obama apoligizing for America. He and Neville Chamberlain have a lot in common.

His fiscal policies are ok but their are other Republicans that can deal with that just as well and who are not going to blame America first!

  • Helene Brewer - 13 years ago

Just as for your first debate I was very disappointed in this one. Some of your questions were inane and totally irelevant. Obama ran a great campaign and he is doing a lousy job as president. So what does that tell you about the importance of Newt's campaign? Absolutely nothing. And who cares about Bachmann's headaches or her statement about being submissive to her husband? What I wanted to hear is how these candidates planned to run the country differently from Obama or Bush. Those are the positions you should have tried to bring out. Newt was right. This was no debate, this was a trap. Bret sounded like a chihuaha yapping at the candidates and Byron should be ashamed of himself. Even Chris Wallace whom I watch religiously was disappointing. It must be cantagious.

  • katamb - 13 years ago

No lie guys, but Ron Paul comes across as a nut. I appreciate what he has to say, and know he's very intelligent, but how can we be isolationist in a world that is very, very small. The premier of China sneezes and our stock market falls (ok, that's an exaggeration, but you know what I mean). Maybe it's my history as a democrat until the 1990s when the Demos became more liberal and I realized I'm more conservative, but the mainstream Repubs aren't going to vote for him. Let Iran have nuclear weapons? Do you want an EMP over the U.S.?

  • Jennifer Coe - 13 years ago

The most important thing in last night's debate: Several times, Newt Gingrich said we should repeal Dodd-Frank and Sarbanes-Oxley.
Our economy is in terrible shape, and he proposed a credible solution.
Please have a discussion of those two laws on your show. What is in them? What are the pros and cons? It is important for us to understand the issues.
    Jennifer Coe, San Diego, CA

  • David Cron - 13 years ago

Oh Come on. All you "Paulites" get over it. I LIKE Ron Paul but I thought he embarrased himself several times last night. Any observer with any sense of debate knowledge (I was on the debate team at my University), would know that. The single thing that will keep Ron Paul from becomming President is his total isolationist stance. Face it, the majority of us don't believe the problems in the world (i.e. whole societies that hate us) will go away if we withdraw from the world stage. History shows that when the U.S. did that in the past we wound up behind in a global war.

On the other hand, while I don't think he really has a chance at winning Newt CLEARLY had the best answers and put Chris Wallace in his place beautifully.

  • George - 13 years ago

Ron Paul employs crooked tactics like making sure to bias online polls. I was at a Republican convention where his people literally tried to take over the proceedings through delays and parliamentary tactics that served to do nothing but tick everyone off. They were allowed to have their say, but when the vote didn't go their way they decided trickery was better than democracy...all the time believing they were right.

It is true that many of his economic beliefs would help, but ignoring the rest of the world to the point he would like would be a total disaster. That said he should have stayed where he was...he could have helped out economic policy. Now he is just going to loose to a Texas governor and his ambition will be shown as presumption.

There are not that many comments on a forum like this one toward one person...even if they get the most votes, unless they are purposely organized. Which I have personally seen Paul people do on more than one occasion. Once they had a fake Tea Party rally in our area, that they really controlled and then bad mouthed the other candidates from the podium.

    A liar...is a liar.

  • Harleywood - 13 years ago

Ron Paul, what a cracker head. When you compare the Reps debates to the Dems debates the Reps absolutely put the Dems to shame. I can't wait to see the breakdown of the mins each candidate had to explain their stance on issues that are plaguing our beautiful country.

  • Bill carver - 13 years ago

Still liking Bachman. Newt did well. Ron Paul doesn't strike me as conservative but let it be known. No matter which of these candidates get the nomination he or she will make a far better president than the one we have.

  • Pon Raul - 13 years ago

Well, I will have to say that the Ropaulians sure are a dedicated bunch...they slammed this poll and completely slanted the results. Good job guys! Unfortunately, your cult leader has a snowball's chance in hades of ever winning, so you might as well have some more cool-aid and invent whatever fantasy results you can now. It won't last very long.

Without a doubt Bachman and Gingrich dominated that debate!!

  • 1gadawg - 13 years ago

Ron Paul is a joke, a whiner, a crank, a loon. His views on terrorism, nuclear proliferation and others would be reckless and dangerous if they weren't so immediately dismissable.

  • Phocus - 13 years ago

Romney looked most presidential. Fox was the big loser. I can't tell you how disappointed I was and am at Fox and the debate. Wallace ruined it and Brit has done better. Lose the bell. Lose Wallace. Focus on plans for the country, not personal and embarrassing drivel.

  • Doris - 13 years ago

Yes, Ron Paul has some great beliefs and ideas that we can all agree with, but he is NOT electable. Neither is Cain, Santorum and maybe Bachman. Pawlenty can pack it up and go home after last night. Newt is the most intelligent, and I believe could bring about the most change, but has lots of baggage. Romney - not feeling it (yet). It will be interesting to bring Perry to the debate. Let's hear more of his ideas/beliefs and what he brings to the discussion.
Not sold on any candidate yet...

  • Charles - 13 years ago

Wow, 72 percent favor Ron Paul. I thought he came off as a kook on steriods.

  • Scott - 13 years ago

Ron Paul is the only one I trust in regards to foreign policy, and that's where the commander in chief has the most authority.

  • Iter Temporis - 13 years ago

This reply is to everyone who thinks that Ron Paul is too old to be president:

Age is but a number. It sounds like his brain is in much better shape than any of the other candidates. He speaks the truth and sticks to the questions, instead of attempting to go around them. He is the only one up there who isn't a mindless drone, a puppet.

He can walk, he can talk properly, so why disqualify him over his age? Look at his record, completely consistent, which you cannot say about the other candidates.

  • GMason1776 - 13 years ago

If all the people who said "I like Ron Paul's ideas but I don't think he's electable" actually voted for Ron Paul, he would win in a landslide.

  • Erica - 13 years ago

Gingrich showed that he is the smartest one of the bunch last night. With real experience dealing with like situations, and a real understanding of what has and will work. I liked Bachmann prior to the debate, but she and Pawlenty were too distracting. Romney came off as a wishy washy slime ball. The others all seemed to fade together.

  • Sara - 13 years ago

Minnie, GROW UP! You want your neighbor to continue to be punished by the ridiculous tax code, because you paid your taxes and they might still be paying on theirs? Where is my fairness that 51% of this tax paying populous pays no taxes and still recieves benefits? What about those that are millionaires and higher that are able to eleminate or reduce their tax bills because of loopholes? Do you think that is fair? No, you obviously are only worried about those that are struggling and cannot pay a debt. You want to punish those that can't and continue to reward those that can! That is a GREAT system! You say you want transparency? Would you know what transparency was if you saw it in action? People who grasp at straws to not support Ron Paul amaze me. Apparently you want the same status quo to continue, but only agree if them in office if they are of your party. Wake up people, Cain talks for his plan and then against it when told it cannot work. Romney cannot handle anyone challenging him without blowing his top. Bachmann and Pawlenty are out to destroy each other. Perry ran Gores campaign and now is running on Bush's platform. The rest don't matter, they are not getting enough support. How can a nation be so gullible and controlled that we have allowed the same Presidency to continue for 11 years and think that it different? I guess most believe that we should elect a President on how well he talks, because of his religious beliefs, because they look Presidental, because they have raised more money from companies, esp. Wall Street, Big Pharma, Oil. Most of all we support candidates that makes us look cool, because we are told to by our choice of biased media, or some celebrity declares that they will be a servant to the President. Instead, why don't you look at their records, both in and out of office. Why not do some research, are they pandering or do they actually live life they way their platforms are based?

  • GMason1776 - 13 years ago

No politician in the last 200 years has done more to advance the cause of liberty in the United States than the good Dr. from Texas. The fact that the American people have not already elected this man POTUS speaks volumes about just how dependent on big government we have become. We are institutionalized, afraid of the responsibility of self governance. And we've been conditioned to believe that national security means overstretching our volunteer armed forces throughout the globe trying to police the world. It's not our job and we can not afford the empire. Bring the troops home and defend America. Use the money that we borrow and print to defend other nations to rebuild our Airforce/Navy, protect our borders, and continue to fund the Strategic Defense Initiative. That's national defense. The USA would be almost untouchable. But Americans have swallowed the foreign policy embraced by both Republicans and Democrats, an obscure foreign policy with no clear objectives that leads us to perpetual war thereby depleting national resources and making us weaker in the long run. Enough already. I refuse to sacrifice any more young American soldiers to nation building efforts in the Middle East or Asia. Ron Paul 2012!

I cant believe FOX! Saying that Newt won the poll when its obvious that Ron Paul was the winner. guess i have to stop watching fox and all the other news stations

  • Paul Siebenthal - 13 years ago

Ron Paul AGAIN clearly defeated his opponents. The neo-cons and RHINO Republicans have to argue AGAINST founding principles when they argue with Paul. This only highlights the difference between the PROGRESSIVE REPUBLICAN ESTABLISHMENT (Teddy Roosevelt progressive "modern" european right) VS. the CONSTITUTIONALIST (American) views of Libertarian Republicans like Ron Paul. I side with our founding fathers instead of the European progressive right wing model of Empire and Corporatism.

  • C. Righetti - 13 years ago

And who's the big loser? Fox. Newt was right. Give us a break. Ask about the issues, don't give ammunition to Obama to rip our good people that want to do something right. It was obvious to me that Fox has their favorites. Chris Wallace needs to go to MSNBC. His questions are what you rip MSNBC for. What's the issue about staff leaving? Obama lost all his people too. Get off it Chris and ask about real issues like Newt was clear about answering for others. Am I a Newt supporter? Not totally yet, but watched the debate to help sort through the candidates. Do the American people a favor and those candidates, stick to questions about the issues. And what was that question to Michelle about being submissive to her husband? Give me a break! What's this personal stuff? Who cares?????? Talk about an attacks because she's a woman!

  • Will - 13 years ago

Oh and the voting fraud was only minimal to what happened. He didn't have the votes we know that. BUT this is MUCH different year. Dr Paul's supporters give him money and time. There are 240,000 of us strong on the internet waking people up. The problem is the media is setup to spin peoples minds into voting for what the elite want. Just like Obama. He was elected because there was about to be munity on this ship. Thousands and thousands of young kids were tricked into "taking a chill pill and seeing what happens". Go back and look at the footage from the Anti War protests. This had to be shut down. Obama did that. I think the internet has helped wake up a generation that is waking up their parents and sadly with the republican party "Grandparents". The older generation is the one being manipulated by these scumbags on Madison Ave the most! Kids are always brain washable, but to be able to tell someone EVERYTHING they think, man TV has corrupted our system. I remember my grandfather was tricked into buying when it was said and done. 6000 movies from Columbia House.. Hundreds of duplicates. Every weekend we would cancel it and then someone would just call back and trick him into just taking one more movie. Same thing with people like O Reily (Who is a political hack and used to be an smut peddler on entertainment tonight) who get on TV and tell these people what to think. Well I alone have had 82 Democrats and Independents signup for primaries and as well as convert about 25 - 30 of my family and friends. In 2 months. Come join the peoples campaign! It is really a lot of fun and you will meet some awesome souls along the way!

    Shirley,

Look into early voting fraud in Iowa and you see what happened last year. It is time to remove electronic voting and the criminal government. I KNOW that Ron Paul will be the man to lead us towards sanity again. Iran has not attacked anyone in 102 years. They have defending themselves. Nobody is irrational over there. Do you think they want to end up like Saddam? The US is irrational and has made its citizens harbor this deep seeded irrational fear! Much love to you and I pray you look into Dr Paul and what he stands for. It is what we need! It is what made us A great country!

Uncompromising when it comes to the Constitution, Ron Paul was the only candidate that kept the real issues confronting this nation centered in the debate. Gods speed Ron Paul in 2012.

  • Shirley O'Donnell - 13 years ago

I watched the debate. This is so farcical. Why would so much money be spent on a debate that means nothing. Ron Paul always comes out on top but then never goes anywhere. He has his own ideas but regretably I think he has passed his sell by date. I was impressed with Romney, but my jury is still out.

  • Joe Garrett - 13 years ago

Newt came off as very well informed and handled Chris Wallace perfectly.

  • Rick Bulow - 13 years ago

Ron Paul is the Republican's answer to Dennis Kucinich, and it came out in the debate. He flopped on everything. Herman Cain is the candidate of WE THE PEOPLE in 2012.

  • Andre - 13 years ago

Ron is always the clear victor! they have been ignoring him as well as ridiculing him for 3 decades. This is the final hour people, the time to right this ship is now. We need a Libertarian POTUS. With all the executive orders the neo-cons and the liberals have written themselves over the years, Ron Paul will have all the power needed to change everything and to be the benevolent ruler that this country hasn't had sense the founders.

    !In RON We Trust!
    The rest are pathological liars!

Jean Long....Cain was chairman of the federal reserve in Kansas City. If thats not enough, the man runs a pizza joint. come on. He was in the federal reserve....hes corrupt. So are all the others. You want a vice president then look up Tom Woods or Judge Napolitano. Those are the guys you want and i know they will both be in the white house with Paul.

I have been torned between Cain and Paul for sometime! They tell it like it is and they both have real solutions! I am not interested in the same old politics! We the people know now that our vote does count! I am going with Paul for President and I hope the Paul chooses Cain to be his Vice President!

Minnie...I'm military so i too would probably lose my job under a Paul administration but i am willing to do that for the good of the country. All the federal employees will be out in the private sector creating jobs. At the saem time we would be saving billions of dollars by not paying the federal jobs. Paul would take all the military around the world and bring them home, saving trillions of dollars in costs to keep those bases open. Money would be backed by gold or silver again and eliminating debt attached to the dollar when its created. He could probably completely wipe out national debt in about five or six years. Inflation would be way down. Every person in this country would be free. Free to make their own choices and deal with the conciquences of that choice. Free from debt. Free from government. A free society, like it was written up in the constitution. We would never look back!

Iran is a dangerous and irrational country?

And what are we? The United States of Mary Poppins?

    Get real!

We're the most dangerous and irrational country the universe has ever had time to even contemplate!

By the way, regard the comment earlier made that Iran has a suicide bomber mentality, and you cant let people like that get nukes because they will use them......

#1) The LEADERS aren't suicidal, you dummy. Just like ours are not suicidal. We send the kids to die. You think they want to banzai crash their entire country into another country to kill both of them? The world is like a good/evil video game in your silly mind.

Israel has like 4349 nuclear missiles. You think Iran is going to attack Israel? LOL

grow up. we like our martyrs just the same as muslims do, and you're just as stupid

It's been great to welcome the former Romney and Obama supporters to the R3volution.
Ron Paul for Peace, Liberty and Prosperity!

  • Alex Shannon - 13 years ago

Jesse your definitely on to that. Why would you remove a post getting so much attention unless your results weren't what you wanted. Their bias towards Paul only shows us there faults. Huntsman was disgusting as a human being to me. Squirmy one he is. Romney is cookie cutter, Pawlenty is the Department Store Manikin. I'm paul all the way

  • Jessie Marker - 13 years ago

I can't believe ONCE again FOX NEWS IGNORES Ron Paul and talks about EVERYBODY ELSE but him post debate! Sean Hannity REFUSES to acknowledge that people like Ron Paul! Not hard to see when BOTH foxnews.com sponsored polls so far have shown Dr. Paul to be leading by a ASTONISHING majority! Maybe that's why they took the poll results down from their mainpage?!

  • minnie - 13 years ago

One very important question should have been asked for Ron Paul since he wants to get rid of I.R.S. Considering this horrible deficit, will all the people that OWE I.R.S. MONEY do they still have to pay it because if they do not then it is not fair, If no I.R.S. will their balance be transferred to a regular collection agency to collect what this people owe to our government, after all all that balances belong to the Fed Gov. When we paid our taxes they did not. Ron Paul should answer those two questions, he needs to be transparent as far as that goes, since it will change all our government, and so many MILLIONS of peole will lose their jobs. He needs to tell the people that once the balance goes into a collection agency it will become and mess up you credit IF you have good credit. I.R.S. does NOT give that information to the credit bureau just in case u did not know that. EYE OPENER. RON PAUL NEEDS TO EXPLAIN HIS PLAN, we do not want another obama, we need to know now before it is too late.

  • matt patterson - 13 years ago

ron paul would fit right in with the founding fathers. he speaks of true freedom and liberty. it's our God given right to that. that is what ron paul stands for. liberty and true freedom. ron paul 2012!

  • Mary - 13 years ago

Jenny...are you basing your view on how well spoken the candidate is? Look what that got us with Obama. Try looking at the substance of what is being said, as well as the depth of what they say. Sound bites do not make a president.

  • Patrik Korda - 13 years ago

The fact that crappy FOX ignores Ron Paul is a blessing in disguise.

  • Not an idiot like Jenny - 13 years ago

Jenny you are a complete fool. How is he so nutty? Have you ever researched him or just accept whatever what the media spoon feeds you? God help us all if this man doesnt become president!

  • Jenny Hart - 13 years ago

OK I am baffled! Ron Paul?? SERIOUSLY!! COME ON! How can anyone actually believe he will win anything. He does not speak clear and his ideas on Iran are out right dangerous! OK so he got something right about the Economy but that does not make him a leader! He speaking skills make Bush look like a genius! OK I think that maybe those who actually support him are just out of the norm and that is why there are more here voting! I just cannot believe that Paul is credible! I found Cain a much better choice and he was so much more clear and concise on his points. He spoke like a leader and his experience at Godfather's Pizza will be very valuable as president! He showed what a real leader should be like! Why the RON PAUL INSANITY!!!!??? PLEASE help America if that nut wins!!!

  • Larry Wright - 13 years ago

Silly questions have no value/place in these debates. I agree with Newt Ginrich that "got you" questions have no place in these debates. There are plenty of serious questions to be asked and little air time to answer them, don't waste time on sillyness. If the panel can not improve on their questions then let the audience ask the questions. Chris and Brett embrassed themselves and Fox News with their questions and I am a loyal watcher so this hurts/distracts from a program of great importance. Come on guys, lets get serious.

    Remember jobs, jobs, jobs.

Jeanie Eliason, you obviously missed Ron Paul's reasoning in the Iran situation. What Ron Paul was saying is that sanctions is only insulting Iran and convincing them even more to pursue such things. Herman Cain had the real solution to Iran though, make Iran change their mind through an economic dominance. America has more natural resources than any other country in the world. Put true leverage on Iran to make them stop their pursuits. Like Ron Paul said, these sanctions are only used right before you go to war. There is no need to start a 6th war right now when we can leverage the world with true power, ENERGY INDEPENDENCE.

  • Jeanie Eliason - 13 years ago

40% Ron Paul???? His views on Iran and nuclear weapons was ludicrous! Iran is a dangerous and irrational country and if they are allowed to build up their nuclear capability I believe they are crazy enough to launch a nuclear missile. They have the suicide bomber ideology and you do not allow people like that to build nuclear bombs. Ron Paul's I don't care about other countries and what they do is wreckless. And what about Israel? You sign their death warrant with that attitude Ron.

  • Janice - 13 years ago

Ron Paul won this one hands down! The ONLY one that had the guts to stand up and tell the American People the TRUTH! Ron Paul is now my candidate! He's got my vote! Common Sense, Knowledge, Intelligence and Truth! This is the combination America needs, NOW!

  • Drew Williams - 13 years ago

The wars are destroying our country! The only candidate that is serious about ending the wars is Ron Paul. He's got 30+ years in the legislature and a gleaming record to boot!

  • Tara - 13 years ago

Why doesn't Ron Paul get mentioned unless there is no other choice? The number of responses he had tonight was NOT because fox asked him that many, but because Santorum and others attacked him and therefore fox was required to allow him time to answer them.
And also, if Ron Paul is winning fox's online polls, why do they always shout every name but Ron Paul's? I think the media likes the status quo of war, debt, confusion and squabbling.

  • Jones - 13 years ago

Ron Paul is the winner because his ideas are fresh and bold to the American public. People are tired of business as usual crap in Washington. We want something different. We want someone who will eliminate the bull crap and get America back to the road of greatness again. If I was able to pick his VP, I would pick Cain hands down. President Paul for brand new direction and Vice President Cain for the real business solutions that are needed to make America a thriving enterprise again.

  • William White - 13 years ago

Just like in 2008, FOX is ignoring Dr Paul after the debate, thereby ignoring the majority of Americans who participated in your debate poll. Quit pushing your own agenda and wake up to the fact that perhaps millions of us are onto something with Ron Paul. He's not a puppet to enforce your agenda and I suspect that is why he is persona-non-grata in your BS "spin" room. Fair and balanced is a joke and you are NOT an objective news source, obviously. In the opinion of the majority of Americans who voted in your poll, Ron Paul won your debate yet he gets no face time afterwards. Disgusting, cheap and predictable of FOX.

  • Brian - 13 years ago

at this point 40% of the votes are Ron Paul yet in the Fox spin room immediately after the debate they spoke about everyone but him. Ron Paul is not your typical politician when ther rest are, Ron Paul is our only hope.

  • LadyBigMAc - 13 years ago

Ron Paul clearly won by crowd applause and this poll proves the people want a libertarian, both parties are garbage and it's time for a change.

  • James Hedemann - 13 years ago

Very disappointed in Fox's presentation! Most questions were directed toward four candidates. I thought Mr. Wallace was more on an attack mode rather than trying to get information, especially toward Mr. Gingrich. To many candidates for one debate.
