Felger wins in my opinion. Very funny and creative.
As an aside, Felger is definitely the contrarian, but insightful, thought provoking and fun to listen to. Maz is a great, entertaining, and very knowledgeable sidekick. Neither is as good without the other.
I wasn't a sports radio listener until 98.5 launched. Really enjoy Toucher and Rich and Felger and Maz, but like many of the others have said (the comment trend is unmistakable), I tune out from 10 til 2 (usually during the lunch hour) because I can't stomach Gresh. He comes across pompous and adds nothing. And, sorry, Zo isn't much better.
I understand that it's good to have somebody you love to hate on the radio or writing a newspaper column, but not if the person is so objectionable that he makes you tune out. That spells crappy ratings and lost revenue. Thanks, 98.5 SportsHub management, for letting me vent.

Gresch all day, baby! Felger's was repetitive and pandered to V.I.P. fans. If you're too dumb to realize that he was TRYING to use the song to appeal to people, to cover up his lackluster rhymes and inability keep pace with the beat, well..I don't know, you're just a dumbass. >.> I know this contest is only for the lulz but I don't know how I feel about the guys outright laughing over it while it's playing. They gave Felger a lot of cheap laughs and made it appear like Gresch's didn't go well. Gresch covered more ground, used more dirt, and put way more effort into his. We're not suppose to take it so seriously, but they sort of are thats what makes it fun. Felger's was pretty half-assed, listen to it again and tell me otherwise.

I like listening to both guys. As for the rapping, I thought Gresh won overwhelmingly. His was more diverse. He did it with a true rap flair, and it was also fairly catchy. Felger just did fat jokes, and did not use the rap edge needed, and he has no sense of musical tone/beat etc. To me, it wasn't even close. Gresh by a mile!

Gresh takes the crown on this one. Everyone that posted so far and picking Felger is going off of the fact Felger used "V-I-P." So what. He couldn't even stay on beat and someone above me mention that he had to stretch words to stay on beat. That's not battling in hip hop. Everyone is also talking about Gresh was too angry. Helloooooo that was the point of T &R setting it up so that these two would go at it! They legitimately hate each other! In a real rap battle it's usually the MC who spits crazy venom at his opponent that usually wins the day.

Alright...I listen to 98.5 all day even at work and on my way home...Both of these guys are total opposites of each other and both raps were absolutely hilarious, but I find it very hard to believe that Felgy wrote his own rap. He even admitted that he was going to get help from someone to write it for him. Soooo I don't think he deserves credit for his rhymes....(although I believe his had an edge of Gresh's)

Show-hosting abilities aside, Gresh took this one down. His was a true rap, with far more variety in his slams. Felger was working almost solely on the "fat" thing...way too obvious...and Mazz already went that way w/Adolfo. The 'Swoll" was okay, but like Gresh's straight-at-you, anger driver rips. And have to give big ups to Rich, the backing track was perfect for Gresh's rhyme.

He is like if Michael Holley didn't have a brain boring. Trys to hard to be cool and comes off like an ass, he belongs on EEI with Dale Arnold. This round lived up to the hype. Both contestants did very well. Aside from Rich, these were the two best raps put together. It was close, but I have to give it to Felger. He crushed it, what can you say?

If anyone from Sports Hub management is reading this, please get rid of Andy Gresh and get a new program for the 10:00 am to 2:00 pm slot. I love all of your daily shows with one big exception, Gresh and Zo. I cannot stand Andy Gresh, but more importantly, their show is so terrible. It is the most boring, babbling, and just unlistenable show on your network. There are no funny bits or interesting insights and there appears to be a complete lack of program production value. Its just nonstop babbling from unlikeable hosts. Zo is ok, but generally bores me. Gresh is just horrible. Like another poster above, I stop listening to your network at 10:00 am and start back up again at 2:00 pm. For the good of the network, please rework this show and replace Gresh. Thank you.

I really tried to put my hatred for Gresh and his idiotic, loudmouth voice on hold for this one, and initially thought he killed it.
But Felger wins for three reasons: 1) He didn't want to do this at all, but sucked it up and put together something clever and funny. 2) He's the less aggressive of the two, so it's less of him just ranting (like Gresh did) and more of him just busting his balls... which is what it's supposed to be. 3) He used the VIP on Swole!

Felger, hands down. I dont even see how you could vote the other way. How is saying that felger is good looking, successful, rich and popular a bad thing? Felger called out his boring show (ya, do another 6 hours on 3-4, 4-3, thats not fruitless) called out qualifications (URI) and bagged him for being a fat load too.. if this is close, its because people just dont want to vote for felger, but battle rap, it wasnt even close.

Alright...I listen to 98.5 all day even at work and on my way home...Both of these guys are total opposites of each other and both raps were absolutely hilarious, but I find it very hard to believe that Felgy wrote his own rap. He even admitted that he was going to get help from someone to write it for him. Soooo I don't think he deserves credit for his rhymes....(although I believe his had an edge of Gresh's)

This was by far the best rap battle. Felger gets the nod. As far as the next round goes, anyone who won in the first round should move on. Take the 2 lowest winning percentages and have them battle to make it into the semi finals.

Show-hosting abilities aside, Gresh took this one down. His was a true rap, with far more variety in his slams. Felger was working almost solely on the "fat" thing...way too obvious...and Mazz already went that way w/Adolfo. The 'Swoll" was okay, but like Gresh's straight-at-you, anger driver rips. And have to give big ups to Rich, the backing track was perfect for Gresh's rhyme.
Even though Gresh's was a better rap, I'm voting for Felger because Gresh is insufferable.
I would rather listen to Felger 10 times out of 10, and I hate Gresh for more reasons to name, but he did do a battle rap and not a song parody. Plus Felger didn't write his own rhymes however clever and hilarious. I begrudgeonly give my vote to Gresh.
I really dislike Gresch he brings nothing but bore and screaming to the afternoon show and like so many others I shut it off when he and ZO come on. He is like if Michael Holley didn't have a brain boring. Trys to hard to be cool and comes off like an ass, he belongs on EEI with Dale Arnold. Bring back Gary he was the man all day long, he was funny and plus I loved listening to Toucher rip on Gary every morning. I almost got in a accident when Toucher referred to Gary as Shock Jock Tanguay after he called a woman a bitch. Gary is the best bring him back and 86 humpty dumpty big mouth
I thought Gresh had it in the bag after hearing his, he was just spittin hatred, it was awesome. But Felger's was funnier, damn dirty hippie dead head had me laughing hard. Felgie's got my vote, but I don't think either of these guys will get a higher percentage than Rich which sucks cause they both brought it.

Wow. I have to first say that I like all of the shows and their hosts for different reasons, so I don't have any partiality. Gresh's was good, but Felger's rap was insane. "F-A-T on Swools" is the hands down winner, I couldn't stop laughing. Sorry Gresh, you got your face took (as the kids say)!

Wow these were great. As much as it pains me I had to pick Felger. Gresh had a better "rap" but was more anger than anything. Felger's content was so clever, simple & to the point.
Seriously, Gresh is far and away the worst personality on this station. His rap was good, but Felger's was better. Keep Gresh for Patriots half time shows, but for the love of God, get him off the weekday roster.

If anyone from Sports Hub management is reading this, please get rid of Andy Gresh and get a new program for the 10:00 am to 2:00 pm slot. I love all of your daily shows with one big exception, Gresh and Zo. I cannot stand Andy Gresh, but more importantly, their show is so terrible. It is the most boring, babbling, and just unlistenable show on your network. There are no funny bits or interesting insights and there appears to be a complete lack of program production value. Its just nonstop babbling from unlikeable hosts. Zo is ok, but generally bores me. Gresh is just horrible. Like another poster above, I stop listening to your network at 10:00 am and start back up again at 2:00 pm. For the good of the network, please rework this show and replace Gresh. Thank you.
This was a tight one- not an easy vote. I listened 3 times. While Felger's definitely made me laugh more, Gresh got more hit in and gets the knock down. Andy was just more diverse.

I really tried to put my hatred for Gresh and his idiotic, loudmouth voice on hold for this one, and initially thought he killed it.
But Felger wins for three reasons: 1) He didn't want to do this at all, but sucked it up and put together something clever and funny. 2) He's the less aggressive of the two, so it's less of him just ranting (like Gresh did) and more of him just busting his balls... which is what it's supposed to be. 3) He used the VIP on Swole!
