Is health care mandate unconstitutional?

The right will complain about almost anything smacking of "socialism" while lining up for corporate welfare in any form, including ever-increasing military expansion. The health insurance mandate is no more unreasonable than expecting all drivers to carry automobile insurance. Those of us of a "certain age" can remember when auto insurance was an option and moves by government to require it were an unreasonable affront to personal freedom.

Having to purchase Health Insurance is as legal as having to pay into Social Security and Medicare. These are programs for the common good. Let's stop bellyaching about them and move on to other matters. A healthy public will save us all money in the long run.
