I agree with Scott and Drew. Given what basketball and Jamie Dixon have meant to the university, their future needs to be first and foremost. Pitt is a basketball elite if you will. Don't lose that. Rather than be the poachee be the poacher. Get Jim Calhoun, Jim Beiheim, and other noted Big east basketball coaches and together and approach schools like Kansas and K State who will upgrade football and basketball. Missouri also. Then add a fourth. twenty basketball schools and twelve football.

pitt started out a top notched football school and ended up a top notched basketball school. why they changed I don't know. I if pitt wants to get back to football and be a legit program they have to get out of the lack luster big east. if you put a power house like Oklahoma or Alabama in the big east they would be nothing in 4 or 5 years. its cursed. if not for the automatic bcs bowl no one would even care about the big east.

The Big 12 is dying. It will be gone as a BCS Conference in 5 years (or less). Better to stay in the Big East add a couple more football teams.
