There's a reason why the two WWE Champions storyline was weak. The reason is that every day there is two WWE Champions but one of them is referred as the "World Heavyweight Champion" to avoid confusion. There shouldn't be two champions...only one.
This is my opinion - the lesser titles aren't booked well because all the focus is on the two world champions. With only one world champion, the Intercontinental, United States, and tag titles will start to matter again.
Putting the titles/shows back together would be a good thing I think. I have seen several people comment on the mid-card talent suffering if this happened, but they wouldn't because they're building up the tag-team/faction stables again. Just look at "Air-Boom", Vicky Guerrero managing more than one wrestler now, the pairing of more Superstars in 4-man tag matches for example, Kevin Nash possibly working with Triple-H in a faction sense...all signs they're pushing a tag/manager/faction division again. I think that would make the wrestlers want to work harder so they can get a spot as opposed to just "skating by" because they always know there's Smackdown! I really can see no negatives to only one show except less wrestling to watch!
Raw should be loaded full of superstars and make smackdown the midroster talent untill they are ready for the bigs on raw. Nobody and I mean Nobody watches smackdown anyway, why waste the big stars time and talent. They could make raw what it used to be if they bring the bigger stars over so we can see new and more refreshing matches. Tired of the same old same old. Oh and for gawd sakes, stop trying to push ray mysterio to be a main eventer. He has talent but to compare his size to other main eventers is a joke!! Big show vs Mysterio?? As the words of the Miz, really, really??? Mysterio vs these stars that are twice if not three times the size of his is just honestly a joke.
They shouldn't unite the brands in the first place. What's going to happen to all the mid card talent they already fail to recognize. But if they are going to unite the shows then having two champions renders one title meaningless. Most likely the world heavyweight title.
