A dryer sheet works every time! Its quick and simple, no hairspray, no static spray, and no bad smells.

I have a spray bottle with a couple of tablespoons of conditioner in about a cup or so of water. I spray it on and scrunch it in (I have natural curls). Gets rid of static and provides a soft hold.

My 5 year old daughter has static in her hair everyday,no matter the season.. I spray a light mist of static gaurd on the brush. It smells like elmers glue but it works.. By the time I have her hair fixed and I spray a light mist of hair spray over it,the smell has usually faded away.
