I dont know why everybody is saying Pacquiao will beat Mayweather. I guess everyone has forgetten that PACMAN has struggled in his last three fights. I am not a Mayweather fan but lets keep it real for Pacman its all about the money in this fight because he knows this will make him or break him. If Pacman ends up getting knocked out by Mayweather his show will be over. If that happens people will forget about Pacman like yesterdays news. Its about money but alot more for Pacquiao because if he loses he wont be able to get another pay day compared he would get from this fight and his reputation as an elite boxer would be greatly tarnished. I understand everyones frustration with Mayweather. The bragging, arrogance, and attitude. The reality is he is too big, fast, strong, and smarter (in the ring) than PAC. I have no alligance or favorite - I love both of their styles. Sometimes the truth is hard to swallow. Now in boxing it's possible for a fighter to get a lottery style punch (like Shane Moseley got agaisnt Floyd in the 2nd round of their fight; but did not know how to finish him) and its lights out. Mayweather may be ring savvy but Pacquiao is a savage in the ring with Relentless and Brute Power! I believe Mayweather will forever not fight Pacquiao for fear of losing. Great fighters have great boxing records but best fighters fight only the best and never fear losing!
Right now Mayweather blabbers two things in order to avoid fighting with Pacquiao 1) the Olympic Style Drug Testing for Pacquiao to accept (though Pacquiao already accepted it) and 2) his age difference of two years. In the very recent weeks, Mayweather asked where was Pacquiao when he (Mayweather) was dominating in the ring but now that he is OLD? comes Pacquiao asking for a fight? This only shows Mayweather does not want to fight. Mayweather is a great fighter but Pacquiao is the best!

I think FM's last fight with Ortiz wasn't by any means the best way he could've won, and even if he had won in a more skillful way, it still wouldn't have been a big deal because Ortiz is not technically up to par with FM. Ortiz is too green, and FM knew that. He's a great boxer hands down, but does that really mean anything if he passes up the chance to fight one of the other greatest boxers of our time? I feel as though MP has put himself into more compromising fights and he could take FM's punches, I don't think FM can take Manny's. The question is will Floyd do too much running and ducking, is Manny skilled and fast enough to get him? Because if he is, then Floyd is a goner.

Though they do have other motives - to see FM on the canvas, their analysis do hold water. Let's stop the argument on Flyod is a ducker or scared and Pacquiao is on steriod. Media has manipulated all of us that we are forgetting that with all that has happened in history athletes getting caught on performance-enhancing drugs, the professional boxing world has really put a stronger restrictions on these areas. Olympic is no different from the professional world. In fact, there has been more incidents of athletes using PHD that have gone through Olympic system and yet not been caught. And in defense for Mayweather, we all know boxing is business so he has the right to choose who ever he wants to fight, because he is his own boss. FM is just like JMM. They're both dreamers. JMM said he beats MP twice...well, in his dreams. Floyd will beat Manny...also in his wildest dreams . Floyd defense would be ineffective because Manny normally punch straight so the shoulder roll will not protect him. Manny's fast hands and elusiveness will give a nightmare to a counter puncher. Mayweather won, but notice the can of whupass he got from De La Hoya. Now watch Pacquiao vs De La Hoya...Pacquiao's style is so unorthodox that it confused the hell out of De La Hoya, meanwhile Pacquiao beat him to a pulp with the jab and the left hook. Mayweather's talents are undisputed but when put in the ring with someone who's power and hand speed have been likened to Bruce Lee...game over. I'd even go as far as saying it doesn't go ten rounds.

Manny is too small for Floyd .... Manny has always been the faster boxer in the ring and that won't be the case when he fights Mayweather... Here's the big problem for Pacquiao: Mayweather's reach. Long-armed tree-climber.
In virtually any punching exchange Mayweather cleanly tags, and the opponent comes up centimeters short.
Additionally, Mayweather easily ties up opponents with those long limbs draped all over this prey. As well, he clinches and leans down on opponents with all his weight, rapidly tiring them out.
If Pacquiao is to win, he will have to fight the best of his career, and the win will involve brain over brawn -- exceptionally high level training, and rapid-fire combinations, which must include lots of body shots.
My analysis shows this is the ONLY way homo sapiens will beat the primitive-but-super-strong pre-human.

Pacquiao may be a nicer guy, and yes he is a very explosive fighter, but he is weak on his deffense, and is not very versatile in his combinations. Floyd, on the other hand is a very complete fighter: extraordinary deffense, great offense, extremely techincal fighter, cerebral.
Marquez, the mexican fighter, has already gotten plenty of blood out of Manny's face. Floyd beat Marquez, and Marquez could never reach him.
It will be a great fight, but my vote is on Floyd´s side.

Mayweather got hit by Ortiz too many times. I'm concerned that Mayweather is losing his speed. I thought that Ortiz was gonna win the fight. Thank God Mayweather took advantage of the hug to end the fight early, it seemed as if Ortiz could knock Mayweather out. Wow.. I must be one of a little over a thousand people that actually know, analyze, and love the sport of boxing. Not just say oh Manny is going to win because I heard he knocks people out. These same so called fans of Manny couldn't even name or know most boxers in the top ten p4p today. These are the same fans that couldn't tell u that Manny has been knocked out twice in his career already by unknown Filipino boxers, or how he was supremely out boxed by a healthy Erik Morales in their first bout against each other. Or how Manny knocked down Marquez 3!! times in their first bout and only managed to come away with a questionable draw. The same Manny that only managed to beat Marquez in their second bout by a single controversial point. What do Erik, and Marquez have in common? They are both amazing counter punchers, and boxers that aren't afraid to come forward. Mayweather has the same commonality with Erik and Marques, except his boxing skills far exceed the both of them, and his counter punching far exceeds the ability of theirs as well. And as far as being scared.. Mayweather did what he said he would against Ortiz and came forward, to the tune of 76 punches landed out of 208 thrown. Ortiz only landed 24 of 148. That proves mayweather was coming forward not scared. Throwing more and landing more. On a big strong hard punching quick welterweight in Victor Ortiz. With Victor Mayweather had only a 2 inch reach advantage, and a 1 inch height disadvantage. Against Manny Floyd has a 2 inch height advantage, and a 10 inch reach advantage. Manny has hardly any defensive skills. Mayweather will be able to pot shot and counter him all nite with out having to worry about much in return. If a little Marquez, and an even smaller Morales who don't have close to the skills or size and reach that Floyd have.. Then Manny stands little chance. Now this is a real fight analysis. Not just and idiotic response like " Manny will destroy Floyd" or Manny would ko Floyd easily". These sort of responses have no actual boxing knowledge put forth in them. People vote for Manny because they heard it's the cool thing to do, or that he is the good guy, but their responses can't be based on his actual skill set. Because if they were they would see clearly that a Floyd on the top of his game beats Manny. Period!! I dare anyone with actual boxing knowledge to refute this stance.

These debates on "Power" crack me up. It's called Kinetic Energy, look it up. Pac has this mastered; Mayweather tries but fails unless of course he blindsides someone with a punch which is Nervous Energy, not Kinetic Energy. Mayweather's plan was to quickly knock out Ortiz to show the world he can knock out someone who comes 12 lbs heavier (ala Pac and Margareto). Mayweather, with his numerous and talented leading rights quickly confirmed it would never happen although he would dominate all 12 rounds if it continued. This made him nervous so of course the timing was right, legal, and would gurantee a knock out. Mayweather is calcualted. He knows exactly what he's doing. Now, for all the idiots who think the sholder roll would work against Pac. Look at the average punch per round Castillo threw at Mayweather and Mayweather struggled with him. Check? Good? Okay, now look at Pac's average punches per round. The only person would could be that good with the shoulder roll against 90 to a 100+ powerful punches is Neo from the Matrix; Also, MW likes to back into the corner because it puts his defensive style at an advantage with holding his arms/elbows out (which by the way is very impressive) but he would have to be a contortionist to block all punches from the unique angles Pac throws. Boxing is a science, therefore the data allows the result to be predictible. A good defense beats a good offense? are we playing football or boxing? I gurantee if this fight will ever happen (and it will not) we would either see something extremely dirty from Mayweather to gurantee a result in his favor or it will be a repeat of Mosley....a whole lot of running. Problem with mayweather is he ducks so much....what does manny do mostly....he upppercuts and he is a southpaw so his uppercut is a HUGE advantage. The mayweather/ortiz fight was a farce. The fight was fixed. It starts with a headbutt, apologies and perhaps whisper to may to give the blow while hugging. Cortes gives a sign but did not look . I watch the pay per view to watch Mayweather beaten up. This is a stage show!

It will be a tough fight. Mayweather would need to find a way to cut Pacquiao off from his offensive barrage. Pacquiao does not usually fight forehead to forehead so I can't see Mayweather being as effective with tying him up like he did to Ortiz. As you saw, Ortiz was frustrated hence the head butt. Mayweather's shoulder roll may be effective as long as it can withstand the power punches that Pacquiao dishes out. My guess is that Pacquiao will go to the body to open up the head. Like I said, it will be close, but I see Pacquiao knocking Mayweather out or winning by decision due to the sheer volume of punching. I am not so sure that Mayweather's legs are still there to run around the ring all day. If he does, he will get booed all night. Hopefully, if that is the case, the judges give it to Pacquiao merely on merit unlike what they did to De La Hoya. The Marquez fight should determine how much killer instinct Pacquiao still has. If it ends in early knockout, Mayweather would be best to keep making excuses and creating more demands outside of the governing bodies of boxing.

Mayweather has been obssessed with fighting Pacman off the ring, yet no matter how hard he tries he will fail. If he really thinks he's the best, he will fight the best. By putting so much weight on the drug-testing issue, Mayweather is short in admitting that Pacquiao has an advantage against him. He is now saying that if he was a heavyweight fighter, moved up the weight and fought Klitschko people would say that he's on drugs. But when Pacquiao moved up from 105-150 he's a natural. Exactly. Pacquiao is a once-in-a-generation fighter with exceptional skills, unparalleled discipline, and a pauper-like humility. He is a natural. Honestly I don't look forward to the fight anymore, that is Pacquiao-Mayweather. Mayweather recently said that he doesn't need to fight Pacquiao to earn money, that may be true. As a boxing fan, I just realized that I don't want to see Mayweather fight another boxing match either. An athlete who does not respect the sport does not deserve the respect of fans. For the cheap shot against Ortiz, Mayweather defended himself citing the "protect yourself at all times" dictum. Funny because that's what he's actually doing by not fighting Pacquiao. I'd love to see these two great boxers in the ring...Pacquiao is the best offensive fighter, attacking from ALL angles and is hard to stop when he's applying pressure. Mayweather is the best defensive/counterpuncher out there. I don't think neither one is "scared" to fight each other...let's hope the two sides can put it together. Oh, and my money is on Manny with the KO(cuz I don't see MP win a dec.against Floyd,JR.)because he will be the FIRST to get FM in a corner and FINISH the fight with a barrage of blows!

Pacquiao will win by decision or knock out. Mayweather will be able to land some or most of his punches, however Pacman has a great chin. May's chin has never been tested and in a fight with a fighter of Pacquiao's caliber, his chin will get tested and eventually get rocked.

Pacquiao will overwelm Mayweather with flurries of punches. May has a great defense however I don't see him being able to block or dodge all of Pacman's relentless punching outputs. Pacman will be the first to crack that D and make him look like an average boxer. Mayweather Jr. is holding out for Pacquiao to continue to taste the sweet tastes of success. Eventually Manny will come back down to earth with all of his activities. The hunger of the fighting ring will diminish somewhat. When that happens - Mayweather Jr. will step up to the ring.
My personal take is Pacquiao should let Mayweather Jr. get the extra $$ to get him in the ring. Once Pacquiao wins the 1st fight, if close, a 2nd will be on the card and then Mayweather Jr. will be the one chasing down Manny for a rematch and then he can dictate terms!

I think FM's last fight with Ortiz wasn't by any means the best way he could've won, and even if he had won in a more skillful way, it still wouldn't have been a big deal because Ortiz is not technically up to par with FM. Ortiz is too green, and FM knew that. He's a great boxer hands down, but does that really mean anything if he passes up the chance to fight one of the other greatest boxers of our time? I feel as though MP has put himself into more compromising fights and he could take FM's punches, I don't think FM can take Manny's. Media has manipulated all of us that we are forgetting that with all that has happened in history athletes getting caught on performance-enhancing drugs, the professional boxing world has really put a stronger restrictions on these areas. Olympic is no different from the professional world. In fact, there has been more incidents of athletes using PHD that have gone through Olympic system and yet not been caught. From Mayweather performance against Ortiz , I can predict Mayweather will get knocked out by round 8, if he really put the fight with Manny! but he will survive all 12 rounds if he decides to go around and defense like Clootey did. Pacquiao may be a nicer guy, and yes he is a very explosive fighter, but he is weak on his deffense, and is not very versatile in his combinations. Floyd, on the other hand is a very complete fighter: extraordinary deffense, great offense, extremely techincal fighter, cerebral.
Marquez, the mexican fighter, has already gotten plenty of blood out of Manny's face. Floyd beat Marquez, and Marquez could never reach him.
It will be a great fight, but my vote is on Floyd´s side.

Wow.. I must be one of a little over a thousand people that actually know, analyze, and love the sport of boxing. Not just say oh Manny is going to win because I heard he knocks people out. These same so called fans of Manny couldn't even name or know most boxers in the top ten p4p today. These are the same fans that couldn't tell u that Manny has been knocked out twice in his career already by unknown Filipino boxers, or how he was supremely out boxed by a healthy Erik Morales in their first bout against each other. Or how Manny knocked down Marquez 3!! times in their first bout and only managed to come away with a questionable draw. The same Manny that only managed to beat Marquez in their second bout by a single controversial point. What do Erik, and Marquez have in common? They are both amazing counter punchers, and boxers that aren't afraid to come forward. Mayweather has the same commonality with Erik and Marques, except his boxing skills far exceed the both of them, and his counter punching far exceeds the ability of theirs as well. And as far as being scared.. Mayweather did what he said he would against Ortiz and came forward, to the tune of 76 punches landed out of 208 thrown. Ortiz only landed 24 of 148. That proves mayweather was coming forward not scared. Throwing more and landing more. On a big strong hard punching quick welterweight in Victor Ortiz. With Victor Mayweather had only a 2 inch reach advantage, and a 1 inch height disadvantage. Against Manny Floyd has a 2 inch height advantage, and a 10 inch reach advantage. Manny has hardly any defensive skills. Mayweather will be able to pot shot and counter him all nite with out having to worry about much in return. If a little Marquez, and an even smaller Morales who don't have close to the skills or size and reach that Floyd have.. Then Manny stands little chance. Now this is a real fight analysis. It will be a tough fight. Mayweather would need to find a way to cut Pacquiao off from his offensive barrage. Pacquiao does not usually fight forehead to forehead so I can't see Mayweather being as effective with tying him up like he did to Ortiz. As you saw, Ortiz was frustrated hence the head butt. Mayweather's shoulder roll may be effective as long as it can withstand the power punches that Pacquiao dishes out. My guess is that Pacquiao will go to the body to open up the head. Like I said, it will be close, but I see Pacquiao knocking Mayweather out or winning by decision due to the sheer volume of punching. I am not so sure that Mayweather's legs are still there to run around the ring all day. If he does, he will get booed all night. Hopefully, if that is the case, the judges give it to Pacquiao merely on merit unlike what they did to De La Hoya. The Marquez fight should determine how much killer instinct Pacquiao still has. If it ends in early knockout, Mayweather would be best to keep making excuses and creating more demands outside of the governing bodies of boxing.

By putting so much weight on the drug-testing issue, Mayweather is short in admitting that Pacquiao has an advantage against him. He is now saying that if he was a heavyweight fighter, moved up the weight and fought Klitschko people would say that he's on drugs. But when Pacquiao moved up from 105-150 he's a natural. Exactly. For the cheap shot against Ortiz, Mayweather defended himself citing the "protect yourself at all times" dictum. Funny because that's what he's actually doing by not fighting Pacquiao. I'd love to see these two great boxers in the ring...Pacquiao is the best offensive fighter, attacking from ALL angles and is hard to stop when he's applying pressure. Pacquiao will win by decision or knock out. Mayweather will be able to land some or most of his punches, however Pacman has a great chin. May's chin has never been tested and in a fight with a fighter of Pacquiao's caliber, his chin will get tested and eventually get rocked.
Pacquiao will overwelm Mayweather with flurries of punches. May has a great defense however I don't see him being able to block or dodge all of Pacman's relentless punching outputs. Pacman will be the first to crack that D and make him look like an average boxer. Mayweather Jr. is holding out for Pacquiao to continue to taste the sweet tastes of success. Eventually Manny will come back down to earth with all of his activities. The hunger of the fighting ring will diminish somewhat. When that happens - Mayweather Jr. will step up to the ring.
