I love Yardage Town because 1) It is very close to home and 2) they have great prices. I find Joann's fabric too expensive. The majority of the fabric I buy at Yardage Town is normally 30% lower than Joann's. I also receive 20% discount because I have a re-sale license.
I only need enough fabric to line a crocheted bag, so I'm often able to score great (affordable!) finds in the fabric remnants bins at WalMart and JoAnns. My only problem is that I tend to get really bold, colorful prints that compete with the bag rather than compliment it! Oh well, one day I'll find a great use for all those bold remnants... :)

The quality of the fabric has decreased so drastically at JoAnns I have had to go elsewhere for fabric. I still buy notions and interfacing there.
