Is the news feed backlash setting a new record on Facebook?

Agree with Chris Abbamondi about that right-hand section: it's just Peeping Tommery--not to mention that when I slide my scroll bar down to read the actual posts, I keep inadvertently "selecting" one of those bits on the right, or one of the potential "chat" people. If there is a way to block that column, let me at it. I'd also like to be able to see my whole news stream instead of something prioritized by an algorithm or FB tsar.

It is reported that there are to be even more changes to Facebook? The scrolling issues in the PM section needs to be fixed, as it is difficult to scroll back to the top of the page to navigate away from this section. Nobody cares to see what other people are up to at a moment's notice, nor do I care to share my business with the rest of the world either. I don't care whether or not there are settings and features to block this, it's just a stupid, useless feature. Extending the amount of pictures the albums can hold, increasing the number of characters per post, and perhaps allowing animated GIFs for profile pictures (although this may be more of a Myspace thing), it would still be nice. These are the types of changes people want to see. Increase functionality, not change the entire look and feel of the site. There's an old saying, maybe you've heard of it... "If it ain't broke, don't fix it."

The ONLY Face Book change that was worth anything was allowing photo albums to hold more than 60 pictures...EVERYTHING else they have done has made it more frustrating and difficult. STOP the changes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
