Do you think Saudi style arranged marriages work?

    While many would base success on the rate of divorce, this statistic doesn't actually show the success rate of factors influencing the start of a marriage, but rather the end of a marriage.

    So, with that in mind, wouldn't it make more sense if there were statistics showing the rate of marriage? Like:
    How many couples brought together through arrangement end up getting married? VERSUS
    How many couples brought together through spontaneous meeting end up getting married?

    Because, really, courtship is a completely different topic than marriage its self. And divorce rate has little to do with the factors that started the marriage and everything to do with cultural expectations, familial influence, judicial access, and religious guidance.

    Just a few thoughts.
