SerenaWilliams is easily the most gifted female tennis player of all time. She has no weaknesses in her game and the best serve ever. She has a winning record head to head against nearly every player she met who had been ranked number one, two, and three in their careers. She has accomplished so much despite not focusing 100% on tennis. Steffi Graf would not have won even 15 slams if Monica Seles had not been stabbed by a Graf fan. There is always that asterisk by Graf's records. Navratalova would be my second choice.

Best women's player of all time - Steffi Graf. Best men's player of all time - Pete Sampras. Both of these players won with dignity and class, something that Serena lacks, and both dedicated themselves to tennis 100%, something that Serena hasn't done. If Serena has the same level of commitment to the game, class, and sportsmanship as these two players, she probably would be the best of all time.

Serena Williams is the Greatest Woman Tennis Player in the World. She rose through the ranks, inspite of all the pitfalls that were placed in her(and her sister Venus') way by this very society and world in which we all sojourn. Please CHECK 400 years +. I know you did not get it, as history is, the least studied and known subject of my fellow citizens in the United States. The requirement for non-Europeans: Melanin dominant persons has always been; they must be ten times better in every category: ethics, medicine, Math., science, history, languages, arts, sports, etc. Melanin dominant persons must always, ecilpse the summit, and achieve a higher standards than their European counterparts to receive similar rewards. Steffi Graff was a superior athlete, 22 grand slams and a superior human being in so many ways compared to Serena. Also Serena's body build, bulk is really more like a man's than other female players, giving her unfair advantage. I believe that greatness must embrace character, decency and good sportsmanship. I remember Serena offerring $100 (!!) during a match for every ace she made to go to victims of Katrina. That was embarrassing!! She was fined recently (US Open) for once again bullying an umpire a mere $10,000! Absurd.
