I read it everyday that I am on campus (three days a week). Sometimes, I may skim through it online. I do feel it is the best way to get news regarding campus events etc. My criticisms are about the front page story. Shouldn't this be the most important story? For example, yesterday's topic was Beyonce and her mom being on campus....come on, what about something that is actually beneficial to the University? People will forget about her being on campus in a few days. I also feel a page should be dedicated to schools clubs and organizations that are seeking membership. I never knew about clubs such as: Student Video, Coog Radio or any Communications-related field. The Cougar can be a good source for advertisement -- if utilized correctly. Lastly, a complaint that has been made by several of my classmates, the editors are not very responsive in emails. I know someone who submitted an article, who also put in a lot of time, and still was not published. I recently sent in email about a few ideas I had..and guess what? No response. So, how are people going to have the desire to support the school newspaper?
