Another SALT superstition --- If someone asks you for the salt; DO NOT hand it to them. Put it down in front of them. Stopping them from passing their BAD luck on to you! My girlfriend told me this 20 years ago and I still will not take salt from anyone... Neither will my daughter! I know it is crazy, but I cannot do it. IF you do forget and mess up, throw salt over your left shoulder!
