Anyone willing to pick the nexus over the razr obviously never owned a samsung phone before. the nexus could have android 6.0 and a quad core processor but samsung radios and the actual functionality of the screen is a joke. motorola makes the best phones. their build quality is un matched. go buy a nexus and see how many calls you drop in a hour. i dare you

I will probably chose the Razr over the Nexus. I think the Nexus is better quality in terms of software and for future use. I like the screen size. However, the phone looks to professional and sophisticated. It is also seems more fragile. I am new to smartphones so I want something that is easier to use. Also, I like the Razr's durability. I am looking for a phone that has a large screen and is strong. My nephew got the Nexus and I think he made a good choice, but I am more interested in having a tough phone.

The display and the slight curve of the phone attract me. The future-proof software and NFC convinces me, so I choose the GN.
I have the first Droid and appreciate Moto's heft and build quality.
Here's hoping the GN has gorrilla glass!

Both look like great phones, but I'm going with Galaxy Nexus for a couple of reasons:

    1. Motoblur / Verizon bloatware - I have a DX, hate Motoblur and the uninstallable crapps.
    2. Android 4.0 - better to be first in line for updates. Pure Android phones always up first, phones with Blur, TouchWiz, Sense always somewhat delayed
    3. Don't know if Motorola has corrected their headset issues, ask almost anyone with a DX , Droid, or Droid 2 and they'll know what I'm talking about.

There are a few things the Razr has that I wish the Nexus did, such as the SD card slot, gorilla glass, splash-proof, etc., but it'll be the Galaxy Nexus for me.

I second the opinion that you can't have an LTE phone without a removable battery. There are definitely some times where you cannot take the time or find a place to plug-in your expensive, state-of-the-art cell phone. Not having the ability to insert a second battery and continuing on with your work just gives you a very nice paperweight to hide in your pocket.

Love the razr for the splash proof and the strength and knowing it WILL get ICS soon. but the rapid fire camera is awesome. want to try the razr camera hands on before choosing. It will definately be one or the other.

Not sure about Samsung. But in my opinion, Moto's build quality might not be as good as it looks/feels.

I chose Milestone over nexus one 1.5 years ago. The Milestone does have strong body but has quite a few minor problems including the headphone jacket and software performance.

Software updates is also a key point, especially when most of android users are kind of geeks. Even as one of the most successful moto handsent in early age, milestone still had been waiting a loooooooooooooooong time for software updates.

NEXUS is the epithome of perfection, STYLISH, CURVED, AWESOME CAMERA, PURE GOOGLE EXPERIENCE, SAMSUNG CAMERA, PERFECT DISPLAY SIZE 4.6, ICE CREAM SANDWICH 4. THIS IS THE REAL WINNER.

Where's the option for both? For personal use, I'm going with the Nexus. But I'll order a RAZR for work.

If the Samsung Galaxy Nexus has gorilla glass then it is a sure winner over all hopefully they learned lesson from Nexus S.

The show-stopper is the lack of a removable battery on the RAZR. Even with the advanced hardware and O/S technology, riding the 4G LTE signal, combined with the huge HD screen, is going to chew on a battery. I often don't have time to plug-in and recharge, so I keep spare charged-up batteries in tow. Being able to replace a battery at a moment's notice is important to me.
