Should the Occupy Vancouver tent city be shut down?

The homeless situation is totally different from the tenting in the square activity.
Occupy Victoria & Vancouver are not desperate situations like homeless folks.
Homeless people are at a disadvantage and most are suffering from poverty, substance
abuse and mental health issues. The other people have homes, jobs and schools to go to.

In other words, you are an annoyance to your parents & society in general~!~
Get going with your life because no one can do much about these problems that you speak of!
ACCEPT the status quo like normal people that work full time do!

Rose doesn't know about how to run for office and be a success. Her statements
at Occupy Victoria prove just this. "Walk like an Egyptian?" This tenting is about
REBELLION and it should end by this weekend. There are other ways to get your
point across to the general public. Tenting in the fall & winter is a cold venture...

I feel that this situation @ Occupy Victoria & Vancouver is a waste of time for everyone.
It's starting to rain more and there will be a time when being so politically correct is
tiring. Don't you miss your TV and video games? I would miss my warm bed and all
the modern gadgets from my kitchen. What about baths and showers????? Time to
visit an employment centre or college recruitment office. This is not as fun or glamourous
as you first thought, is it? Just make the best of the rain and wind, kids!

I think that this tent city stuff is immature and it could have been over Sunday night.
The rebellion is noted and it screams lack of proper judgment. WHY? Why do you
insist on acting so foolish. This tenting will never solve anything at all... Try forming
groups that make sense. No one believes in "the land of the hippies anymore..."
Civil disobedience is lame and your parents should be called. Your basement suite
will be rented out very soon to another twenty year old with MORE common sense!

The occupiers' tent city should be allowed to stay exactly as long as a tent city full of homeless would be allowed to stay.

The hypocritical "protesters" should have the moral consistency to tear down their tents. The material for the tents comes from "greedy corporations" driven by "the profit motive". The dyes used to produce different colours for tents also comes from corporations seeking "to maximize" their "obscene profits". Nylon for tenting material and dyes come from the petroleum industry, which is "ruining the environment". Hypocrites who buy tents are "padding the pockets of the rich" and contribute to their "obscene profits".
Hypocritical protesters "sell out" to the forestry industry when they buy signs made from forest products. Protesters show bad faith when they paint slogans with paint sold by "multinational corporations". They sleep on concrete that was produced by one corporation and trucked in by another corporation.
Protesters are "in the hip pockets" of one corporation after another.

Why is this even a question? We live in a democratic society that allows us the right to peacefully protest. They are freely expressing their distaste for the status quo and should be given the opportunity to do so without obstruction. Just look at the police state that is the United States. Their police forces attack unarmed civilians. Let's set an example to the world that the number 1 city of the world lets its citizens demonstrate and express themselves.
