I certaintly, agree with candie, stop making it be about the money, and think about the customers who make you all rich. Customers should come first!

  • me - 13 years ago

Just read all the "angry, we are getting screwed!!!" comments....................do I see a class action lawsuit in the making? Things that make you go "Hmmmmmmm?" Think I'll go back to my local cable company.........at least they have a permanent building, where I can go pay my bill!! And I can talk to someone that speaks "english" for Pete's sake!! Grrrrrr!!!

  • Me - 13 years ago

I hate Direct TV, their service sucks and they are not honest about their promotions and packages....always a contract extension in fine, fine print. They will hire any loser off the street to hook up your service(the last guy spent more time smoking and bs-ing with another installer that pulled up in front of my house, than he did installing my dish. VERY un-professional!!! And now we're losing channels???? WTF??? I have a few more months left on my contract, then I'm outta there!!

  • dana - 13 years ago

we switched to direct tv for the sunday ticket but if i lose SOA then we areswitching back to bright house.

  • SteveC - 13 years ago

As much as I hate to side with DirecTV, and any Sat Caster or Cable company, the whole we'll pay you to carry your channels is totally ridiculous. Without the sats and cable companies, there isn't a great way to get your programs out there. You can have the nicest car around, but with no roads to drive it on, who's going to see it! I hope the SATs & Cable cos start to stand up and fight the ever increasing costs these providers keep trying to extort, let alone the multiple crap channels they force the Sats and Cables to carry as part of their package of channels. I'm tired of these providers ruining the content with their screen bugs and ever louder commercials. And why are there commercials on these "cable channels" if we're already paying to watch them?
Maybe its time to just say screw it all and stream and download.

  • Randy - 13 years ago

Everyone is talking about DirecTV! What about Fox they are the ones that are trying to raise the rates by 40%! So what about them? They just need to come to a agreement! I think it is all BS!

  • Dominique - 13 years ago

I feel the same way as everyone else. i love FX because they show the best horror shows ever. the best show thats on right now is american horror story and if i miss the last nine shows im going to be pissed so please come to some agreement or im going to have to leave this service and i love directv because yall are cheaper then all the rest.

  • Crystal - 13 years ago

Will leave direct tv if the fox channel is no longer!!!

  • Jim - 13 years ago

As I have seen my bill continue to increase with no say over the last few years with out any added networks. And now because of a disagrement you are going to remove channels that I veiw the most. IF this happens I will have to look at alternate companys to get my TV. If just a couple of words this is BULLSH$%

  • Candie - 13 years ago

So i think that the ones who will get screwed is the customers as always. Fox and Direct TV put your big boy pants on and settle this! stop making everything about money because you have enough and start thinking of the customers who put that money in your pocket!

  • mike - 13 years ago

i pay for these channels every month so i thank this is crap and breach of my contract i signed this contract knowing i would have fx and its wrong that i will have to pay the same amount of money for less

  • jeromy - 13 years ago

It freaking television people. We really can live without it. Just give us our shows at a fair price before you all follow the the footsteps of Blockbuster video, and netflix. In times of recession such as these, what do you think the people will let go first. Work shit out and keep it affordable.

  • Vivian - 13 years ago

BOYCOTT ALL ADVERTISERS TO FOX / STOP PAYING DIRECT TV. THAT SHOULD MAKE FOR A SHORT SOLUTION.

  • andrew vaillancourt - 13 years ago

if they lose those chsnnels, im losing dtv! thats b.s. ! i know that i wont be compensated on my bill for the loss! i watch those channels the most and that sucks! time to find a new carrier i guess!!!!

  • Heather - 13 years ago

I love Sons of Anarchy. This year is my first time having directv and have had nothing but problem this just makes me mad!!! Hope they fix this before Nov.1

  • Shar - 13 years ago

I just signed up with Direct tv not that long ago and now they want to take the fox channels away most of all SOA in the middle of the season.
I find that very unfair and very bad for buisness. They are going to loose alot of their customers if they take it off.
I for one will be one of them and they won't get another dime out of me for breaking my contract when they are truely the ones breaking the contract!!!
They are going to have alot of very pissed off people if they do this!!!

  • DK - 13 years ago

I think that Fox is being unrealistic , esp. in these hard economic times! Why force the issue, when it most likely will end up w/DirectTV not carrying them and so they will lose what revenue they did generate? (cutting your nose off to spite your face?!) Why is greed always at the source of these disputes? It's idiotic to think that we, the consumers are just going to pay more because we like those channels. We subscribed to a certain package and if DirectTV cannot deliver, then they are in the wrong and must adjust our bills accordingly. Then, as Mike said - there are other channels that we do not watch at all, but are theoretically paying for...I love SOA and I think it would be a reall loss for all of us to lose Nat. Geo. But 40%?! That's outrageous. And then what? Those of us who want to switch, will be forced to pay more if we breach our contract by switching before the end of it? Come on, if the "bottom line" is the bottom line, then you really have to step back - Fox - and decide if you want to lose the customers you at least have now... and in the middle of the season? You think that adds leverage? that just infuriates most consumers and execs. Go back to the bargaining table and work this out before next Tues., like grownups... DK

  • Ill leave direct - 13 years ago

Ill leave direct tv n everyone I know feels the same! Quut being greedy fox n fx get it together! Ridiculous!

  • penny - 13 years ago

if they take away fx and fox their goin to be losing alot of people and i mybe be one of them because i love my soa

  • harley - 13 years ago

i have been with direct tv. ever since they bought out primestarr years ago, and all they do is raise prices and give worse service. And now they want to drop fx and fox, i love soa and the other great shows on fx. DIRECT TV needs to continue carrying these channels or risk losing a lot of customers.Direct tv you need to do the right thing for your customers that are paying your bills.

  • anthony davis - 13 years ago

I had dish tell they pulled this me and my whole family my dad my cousins my aunts my friends and there parents. We all came to directv now we aregetting hosed if we sign a contract and try and get out of it we get fucked with all there fees and crap but they mess with the contract its cool I don't care how much it cost you give the persons what we pay for ........ I think its bull, sons is my fav show and my family we all sitaround the dinner table and talk about it but mike the CEO or what ever is now going to get cheap wtf .... I give him credit for going on under cover boss thought he really cares about us but I guess we will see huh.......

  • casandra - 13 years ago

I do not want to lose fx all my favorite shows are on this channel, I would supend my service with direct tv if they cut my channel off. Sons of Anarchy is one of my favorite shows and i do not want to miss the last 5 episodes over this bs that you cant come to an agreement. So please for the love of god come to an agreement and keep our shows on the air!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Free To Go - 13 years ago

Everyone listen up! These people probably think we're BSing and making "empty" threats about canceling if we lose FX. Well, I say: "On Monday, October 31, start making phone calls to DirectTV, get on-line if you have to, but get a hold of someone there and ask if the issue has been resolved, and if the answer is 'no', if this crap has NOT been settled by then, CANCEL!!". Make your voices heard!

  • Angie - 13 years ago

This is bull crap. Last year about this time I dropped dishnetwork and went with direct tv because I was not going to miss my favorite show SOA and now direct tv is planning on doing the same thing. Come on quit being greedy. As mentioned earlier some of us customers where locked in and promised these channels (Fox) thats why I went to Direct Tv. Honestly if it not's for the economy trying to stick it to us it is t.v. All I gotta say I bet Direct Tv will be losing a lot of it's customer if they drop Fox.

  • Zia - 13 years ago

I love Sons of Anarchy, and I'm getting into American Horror Story too. I'm not a fan of FX per se, but what am I going to do with my tueday nights without SOA! I think both parties are wrong. FX knows that people want to watch Sons, so they inflate their price then complain when it isn't met? Who wants to pay more for anything these days? And directv is just as bad. They sell packages based on channels available. Well, I want credits attatched to my account for every month of service where I am missing Sons, Nascar, AHS, and national geographic. If I am not issued such, I want out of my contract. Not Nov 1 either. Let me know now, so I can set up service somewhere else. May not even go somewhere with fx. Just suffer and buy the box set.

  • Ash - 13 years ago

I think this is total non-sense and that Directv will lose everyone of their customers if they cancel Fx. I have been watching sons of anarchy ever since it first premiered on Fx so for it to be on as long as it has been and to get this far into all of the season and not even half way through this new season to me is bullshit and directv will no longer have me nor my family an friends as a customer if they do this because i believe Sons of Anarchy is what makes that channel and im sure millions would agree..

  • Vega Family - 13 years ago

We as well watch SOA, I switched from Dish Network because of the rate hikes and bad service, and now it seems Direct TV is becoming like Dish Network!! We as customers make your company work and keep you in the business you are in. If you take away these channels, I as well will be forced to drop your servic! My contract has been over with you! I will be sure to inform all my family and friends to cancel there service with you!
Your rates will need to change if all these channels are taken away from your customers!! Customers that are locked in for 2years were promised all these channels until this news came out so this now means they will all get there money back, right? Direct TV you need to listen to your customers, requests and wants, if we mean that much to you!

  • waylon - 13 years ago

I just want to keep my shows because it gives me my time and they are good shows that i like to watch

  • Ashlie - 13 years ago

Rele?? directv do you know how many thousands of people watch SONS OF ANARCHY, TWO AND A HALF MEN etc,?? Why in gods creation do you want to take the chance of loosing thousands of customers because you want to be dick faces?? I want to be able to atleast watch the lasst five episodes of SONS OF ANARCHY!!!!!!!

  • renee - 13 years ago

If i cant watch Sons of Anarchy im gonna shut off Direct TV and so will all my friends. i pay a 100 a month are u crazy? u will loose so much money. It takes money to make money, Direct TV, u have all our money.

  • lisa - 13 years ago

If you dont come to an agreement, doesnt that mean you Direct TV are breaking your contract with customers??? You need to give all Direct TV customers access to your bank account so we all may pentilize you, just as you will to all the people who will drop your ass before their two year contracts are up. I have been with Direct TV for years, but recently we had lighting blow up our recivers so we up graded to a hd/dvr and got locked in to a two year contract. So if I cancel my service before the two year period is you get to debit my account!! If you choose to not come to an agreement then I will cancel you, maybe the customers should get together and make a court action against you for not holding up your end. You raise prices when you want, we suck it up because you have the channels we watch!! You give us nothing for being loyal to you as a company. This makes me sick!!! Maybe you should think of the people who pay to watch t.v. THE CUSTOMERS!!!! We want to keep fx and watch Sons Of Anarchy. Drop some of your bullshit stations that we dont watch but have to pay for...

  • Paul - 13 years ago

Don't t take away fx I need to see the last five episodes of SOA it's just getting sarted & I can't miss these episodes & this is why I switched from dish network to direct TV come on dont do this

  • jackie hamilton - 13 years ago

f ox is already making a damn fortune so stop being so damn greedy, however if I lose FX and others that I currently watch then I will disorient myself from both Direct and Fox. This can be fixed but you can't fix stupid so Direct/Fox don't be stupid . I don't have to watch either

  • Angel - 13 years ago

I think it is very unfair that you guys are going to take SOA away. I will leave DirectTV if they take away FX.

  • Kristi James - 13 years ago

I signed up for DirectTV because of FOX, and all the channels they offered. I will DISCONNET my service with Direct TV if they cancel the channels they are saying they will cancel. I do not care if I have to pay a large disconnect fee. The CUSTOMER is the one who suffers, not the company. There are TOO many other companies I could have my service through to continue with the channels I SIGNED up for in the beginning. I DO NOT CARE if I have to even pay a disconnect fee, as long as I have a company that keeps the channels DIRECTV promised we would have. I would STONGLY suggest you reach an agreement, or risk losing alot of customers!!

  • "Slice" - 13 years ago

    ok

  • Tommy - 13 years ago

I agree with Mike. Another point I would like to make is the fact that we are the customers. We are paying for Directv's contracts, we are cutting their checks, without us they wouldn't exist. So.... what do I say? Directv lies and cheats people if the let FX go. I'm pretty mad about the situation because I'm paying for the channels. I'm paying for the service. This is getting very old. You know a multi-billion dollar company should be able to satisfy there customers wants and or needs. Sons Of Anarchy is really the only reason that I got TV. Now you say "Well... we are just going to drop Fx because we don't agree with their terms." well, We are the customers and I say by the statistics that we agree so eat the bill and deal with it. Make up the difference through Paper Views or something. Just do the right thing and take the deal. You do this and you will have alot more people backing you Directv....

  • terry - 13 years ago

If you guys take fx off I will no longer have direct t.v the whole point of me getting direct t.v was to watch sons of anarchy I guess I will have to go else where if this happens

  • elijah gray - 13 years ago

i also feel the same about direct tv if they take the only channels i wacth away such as fox fx and net geo that is all i wacth and what i pay for they should give us all our money back we dropped dish network last year when they took fx away right in the middle of the soa season and this year to what the hell i payed almost 400 dollars to swicth to direct tv last year at this time i be damned if i do it again or even keep directtv i will drop them and get cable dead serious and allso be trying to get my 400 back cause when i came to direct tv first thing i asked was do you have fx if not goodbye but they had it and know going to take it away then give me my money back but i would rather have fx ,fox and net geo channels!

  • big dawg - 13 years ago

You guys have got to be kidding me! I left dish network and signed with Direct tv because Dish threatened to cut these same channels and now I am in a long term deal with direct and will not be able to see my favorite fx shows. If direct does cut these channels, will we as customers be let out of contracts because the shows that we want to watch are no longer offered. We as customers spend way too much for cable tv and we keep getting caught int he middle of large complanies that cannot get along. Maybe we should only agree to pay part of our bills and then maybe you cut our cable off and guess what you will be losing money and we will find someone else to provide a service to us. So see if you can figure it out by November 1 or else you will have a bunch of very unhappy people to deal with. There will be phone calls coming in that your operators are going to have to answer and then they will get tired of being screamed at by unsatisfied customers and then they leave their jobs and you guys will be left holding one very stinky mess

  • Amber - 13 years ago

The reason I switched to direct tv was becuase I'm in school and can't watch SOA on tuesdays so I love that I can record the show.. Now Direct Tv and Fox can't come to an agreement. It is not fair to all of us viewers who love SOA.. That is my favorite show and more than likely I will switch providers because thats really all I watch..Please come to an agreement so I don't have to cancel providers.. LOVE SOA!

  • kelly - 13 years ago

If Directv can raise rates all the time why can't they give the channels more money.?

  • "Slice" - 13 years ago

I guess if this goes through, Directv or whom ever, Will just have to put up with the account's they stand to loose...

  • Connie - 13 years ago

I agree with Mike fully. I will not want to keep direct tv w/out fox's channels. However we can't afford to pay much more to have those channels.

  • OLD TOWN CAPISTRANO - 13 years ago

cant we all just get along?

  • Mike - 13 years ago

What I would like to see instead of Programming Packages offered by DirectTV, I would like to see DirectTV offer it's customers the oppertunity to purchase individual channels for our viewing pleasure. There are many channels in the program Packages currently being offered by DirectTV that I as a customer will never watch, therefore my subscription dollars to DirectTV are being wasted on those unwatched channels while the few channels I do enjoy watching are now being taken away. to me and other customers this is very infair.
Origionally when I signed up as a customer the Program Package that was offered that I agreed to is now being taken away by no fault of my own, and I believe this is a breach of Contract by DirectTV.
