Was Maksim Chmerkovskiy right to argue with the judges?

I THINK THAT THE JUDGES PICK ON MAX BECAUSE THEY ARE JEALOUS OF HIM. AND CARRIE ANN IS THE WORST. I DON'T KNOW WHO SHE THINKS SHE IS, BUT THE REMARKS THAT SHE MAKES TO MAX AND HOPE ARE UNCALLED FOR COULD BE JEALOUSY. SHE IS NO ASSET TO THE SHOW. IT IS OBVIOUS THAT THEY WANT DEREK TO WIN AND THEY MUST LOVE HIM. THE JUDGES ARE VERY RUDE TO ALL THE CONTESTANTS UNLESS IT IS DEREK. YOUR SHOW IS LOSING VIEWERE BECAUSE OF THEM ESPCIALLY CARRIE.

Before DWTS I never heard of Len, Carrie Ann or Bruno. And, now that I've seen them berate dancers in the ruddest fashion, I think it's time to change this panel. There are so many choreographers that we're familiar with and would respect their opinion. Carrie Ann falters when commenting, Len is just an ogre and very picky and Bruno is too over the top with his adjectives. Bring some professionalism back to the show by changing the panel. They brought on Max's frustration and he needed to vent. Max is a wonderful dancer and I do enjoy his style and looks on the floor.

C'mon people! The judges of DWTS, Len, Bruno & Carrie Ann made the show, without them the show will not be as exciting as ever, as well as the dancers. DWTS is not on it's 13th season and Maks is on the show eversince, he should have gain proper attitude and good values on it. We all know, Len & Bruno have those unpleasant comments, but that's the show is all about. If they've given good comments and pleasant as it was even the performance is not as good as we watch, the show wouldn't be as exciting as it is now. Let's face it, a competition have two companies involve, the judges & the contestants. There would be no winners nor champions without judges to scrutinize every act. Len is a judge, he need to be respected, he has his opinions & suggestions to make every contestant improve. Maks is a contestants also partnered with a star to teach & deliver a good dance every week, but he fails. And now he is pissed by the judges comments, it's a reality show and everything goes. If you don't have the BALLS to stand the judges comments, then BACK OFF. Maks is a professional dance teacher, he should have learn more values & attitude that will make him a real winner. It's a fact that he is a champion, a winner, a decorated one with medals & trophies. But winning is not enough if you cannot win the hearts of your viewers. A champion never lose his manners in every situation especially in dealing with the judges that makes every one a so called "CHAMPIONS". Everyone should put in mind, that "ATTITUDE is a little thing that makes a BIG DIFFERENCE".

  • Angie - 13 years ago

Maks needs to go. He is difficult to watch. He is impossible to work with. He is rude, arrogant and discrespectful to everyone. He is NOT the best dancer there. He is not as creative as the other dancers or a good teacher. MOVE ON to other more talented patient and responsive dancers.

  • Ashlie - 13 years ago

I feel that this was a longtime coming and Maks was the only one who had the guts to say something about it! it's one thing to judge someone on their dancing, but when you start disrespecting the stars that are taking the time out of their personal lives to do something they have never done before is uncalled for. Granted Hope really hasn't improved like the others have, still I feel she is trying her best, I agree with what she said about it seems like no matter how much she tries it's not good enough, and for me she shouldn't feel that way, she should feel good everytime she steps out on that floor and does something she never has done. She is an athlete, for christ sake she isn't in a profession where she has to be sexy and a girly girl HELLO! I can agree that the show has definately changed and it seems like the judges aren't happy any more so if they hate their job that much find a new one, cuz without those contestants their asses wouldn't have a job!!!!!!!

  • macy - 13 years ago

Time to get new judges! They get new Pro dancers, and new contestants, why not new judges? Lennie is wrong on his insulting remarks, and the other two are stale. The show will lose viewers if something is not done. It is not the show it was when it started, and is going downhill, quickly because of the judges! Remember, it is the Pros & dancers that make the show, not the judges !

  • paula - 13 years ago

I agree with so much of what has been said. maks is one of the best stars on the show, and his russian passion adds so much spice to the show. he reminds me of one of those wild artists that lose their temper sometimes. I love him, his talent, and his "tough love" way of getting the best from his partner. regarding the "this is my show' comme nt, let's remember that english is his second language, and cut him some slack for his unfortunate choice of phrase. as for the judges, it is so obvious that they grade on a curve. and their comments are often mean and border on cruelty. I think carrie ann for somereason doesn't like hope, maybe she's threatened in some way, I don't know. len is a crabby old bastard, living in the past and finding more fault than favor with the contestents. they are amateurs making a huge effort, and I applaud all of them, even the ones who don't do very well. how oftendo the judges step out of their comfort zone? hmmmm? as for bruno, he is so out of line. It's like he's more interested in getting attention for himself than anything else. I agree with all the rest; dump the judges but don't lose maks, he is so much of the shows dynamic, and all us ladies love the eye candy. and yes, I do vote!

I have watched Dancing With The Stars since the beginning and I have to say Bruno and Len have gone way beyond with rude remarks about body size and especially BRUNO with his remarks to Chaz Bono. It should always be constructive and not hurtful. This is not a show that should have judges trying to compete on who can make the most rude remarks. I don't think it is a positive thing for bullys we are dealing with in our schools to hear adults referring to a dancer as a penguin, basketball or any other rude remark. It's not funny and the viewer are not impressed. I think Chaz was voted off lastnight because viewers didn't want to see him go through this type of treatment and comments from especially from Bruno. Right on Maks, the main part of this show that keeps it going are all of the professional dancers teaching the stars. As far as I'm concerned Len and Bruno should be sat down and told to be more constructive with their remarks. Oh yes, and Bruno, settle down with all your theatrics. Your trying to make it the Bruno show and it is not working.

  • Marlene - 13 years ago

The show is maybe there show but they forgot one thing I watch that show because of the professionnal who make the show and the stars, NOT THE JUDGE, without the professionnal don't forget they had no show. Also I'm like most people, I taped the show because I don't want sit to watch the judges' comments I rather skip that part. To me it is not constructive. Bruno was cruel to Chaz went he say he reminded him of a penguin.
Way to go, Maks! I will never watch this program without him. I have watched DWTS every season from the beginning each year I want to quit because of the judge I hate there comment. The only thing that make me stay it's because Maks is in the show he is a good dancer.
I would like to see more of Maks, Tony, Lacey, Kym, Anna, Louis . They are DEFINITELY the best dancers on the show!!!!
Also I thing that Derek ALWAYS gets someone with dance experience. It is so obvious. I was so happy last year he wasn't there. Is easy for him to say that “As a seasoned professional, you should know not to do that, I think. There’s sort of an amount of self control…” because none of his partener have a bad critique like Maks or other had.
But for him it's alright for the judge to say what they thing even if it's rude and the professional has to shut up. No! finally someone stand up on his feet and talk, and I thing like most people this is time to change them.
And I think when Maks talk about is show he talk about the show he does with is partner Carry Ann when over board.
Don't forget when her and Bruno has there own show the show did'nt last to long I wandering why ????????????????.

  • Laura - 13 years ago

I have such a hard time listening to the judges giving cruel commets to the stars. You can tell when the judges give positive feedback the star does better, but for some they only get negative and it's hard for them to improve. You could see the hurt on Chas's face when Bruno would give his commets. Stop the bulling!!!! I have watched since the beginning and find myself wanting to watch it less and less. It's like a game with Len when he starts to give a negative commet he is ready to react to the audience. I say get rid of the judges. Especially Len and Bruno. I have had enough of them the last few years. I want to see positive and constructive feedback not what they give. There is no pleasure in watching the show with the judges judging like they do. Pairing up the stars with the professionals needs to be done differently also. Same ones are always set up to win. If Mak goes I won't be watching anymore. He is my favorite dancer and I would really like to see him win sometime. TIME FOR THE JUDGES TO GO!!!!!

  • Kitty001 - 13 years ago

Judge the dancing and forget the rude comments to the dancer (penquin, basketball and etc).
Your job is to judge with some positive feedback to help the dancer go on to the next week, I think some of the judges comments were a result of some great dancers leaving the show early. Yes, the judges were wrong and Max was right in making his frustrations known.

  • ann - 13 years ago

Len, Mary Ann and Bruno. you are soo rude to the dancers. step down. We have enough of you. Step down like Max said. I 'm 100% agree with him.

  • Kim Gillespie - 13 years ago

Even though Maks may have a nasty disposition at times, which he should learn to curb, he was absolutely right in his comments. The judges on DWTS are absolutely rude!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You can critique and give constructive criticism for people to improve and learn. There is favoritism shown to certain people - I agree with Maks. They should look at themselves before they start calling people nasty names and referring to them as a certain type of "animal". Maybe they should take a moment and watch the judges on the "Sing-off" on a different network. These judges, too, are professionals that give constructive criticism but also share with each group the good things they have done as well. I actually have stopped watching this show because the judges, in my opinion, have gotten out of hand with their comments. I would much rather watch an entertainment program that judges give constructive criticism rather than be as rude as the judges on DWTS. People are starting to loose interest in this show than when it began. Get rid of the the grouchy old man and also replace the ridiculous gentleman on the end - Bruno!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Larry Cobb - 13 years ago

Like most people, I don't sit and anxiously await the judges' comments. To me it is unimportant and insignificant. Bruno was cruel to Chaz and said he reminded him of a penguin. That was uncalled for. Len seems to love to chastize Maks in front of millions of people. He only does it because Maks is one of the professionals who doesn't bow down to the "great Len" like Derrick does. Take Maks off the show and watch the ratings go down. Take the judges off and see who cares. The dancers are professionals and should be treated as such. Len didn't like it because he was challenged. If you can't take it, don't dish it out! Too bad, Len. Get rid of all three of the judges, they are worthless!!!!

  • silky - 13 years ago

Maks said "I'm just protecting my program", which to me means he was protecting his dance number and partner. I do think the judges go overboard with their comments in insulting people, calling them names, and saying things sometimes that aren't necessary. The judges are supposed to give their opinions on the dances, not call people names like "penguins". I'm glad Maks has the courage to stand up for his partner and himself. Somtimes when people do that, others like Carrie Ann want to say they're being disrespectful. Yet saying someone looks like a penguin is disrespectful and unnecessary. Maks is a professional, as are the judges. The judges need to be more respectful and limit their comments to the dances/costumes and hold their opinions about who someone looks like to them. Bruno seems to think he's all that, and he's not. Len is an old fogey, and Carrie Ann always picks on certain women to "hate." I'm no longer watching DWTS because of the judges' comments. I wish more people would stop watching so the ratings could go down, and then maybe, they'll get some new judges who know what to say during the judging.

  • Ann - 13 years ago

I have never really been a fan of DWTS because of the judges rude comments. I watched last season because of Kirstie Alley. And a number of rude comments were made by the judges then.Bruno is a blubbering IDIOT,Len is a NOBODY we never heard of until the show, and Carrie Ann is pretty much useless. I only watched it this year because of Chaz. I agree with MAKS!! It's a free country and freedom of speech is supposed to be a big part of it! I admire him for speaking his mind. It's about time someone said something about the judges rude comments, which have been going on for a long time and are not necessary.Judges should judge, and not be judgemental and arrogant about it! As far as I'm concerned all of the judges should be replaced with new ones! GO MAKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Jan - 13 years ago

I have been fed up with the judges comments for the last few years. Len needs to go; he is an ole fart!! I also thought that Bruno was very negative and insulting in his comment about Chaz looking like a penguin. I think the judges should be done away with and let the voters decide.

  • leigh - 13 years ago

OH....and I think it is wrong that Derek ALWAYS gets someone with dance experience. It is so obvious! I mean, he is a total genius with choreography, a great dancer and teacher but it really isn't fair.....spread the love a little - it would be more fun!

  • leigh - 13 years ago

I agree with the degrading comments. I really feel that as professional dance judges, they should be judging just that - the dancing, not the outfit, the music, and especially not the dancers/celebrities personally. I'm especially sick of the "fat" comments to Chaz. People who are fat are the last remaining people who it's ok to be treated with prejudice. It's wrong! no one would dare comment about someone's face with a deformity or when the lady with one leg was on - as a matter of fact, she got sympathy votes but it doesn't seem to work that way with people who are heavy. I think that is wrong and sends a really bad message! I LOVE DWTS but stop with the hurtful, personal comments and as for Maks....LOVE LOVE LOVE HIM!!!!

  • Michelle - 13 years ago

I like Maks. I don't think he was out of line at all. You could tell he was SO mad and frustrated and I thought what he said was actually pretty restrained. Good for you, Maks!

  • Alice Weeks - 13 years ago

Way to go, Maks! I will never watch this program without him. He is the best dancer on the show and the judges have been tough on him for a long time. Carrie Ann has her favorites and it's always so obvious; she is very inconsistent with her voting. And yes, they will criticize a couple and then give them all 8's. This doesn't make sense. Bruno is amusing, and, on target. It's just that he wraps in all up in sometimes wildly inappropriate ways and his useful critique gets lost.

  • mimi - 13 years ago

Max and Hope should have been sent home. Max is arrogant and Hope can't dance. At least Chaz was trying and not only did he have to take insult from the judges but Max insulted him too! His comment about how Hope gets judged on technicality while "others" get A for effort for walking on the dance floor was uncalled for. Defend your opinion Max but not by stepping on another persons' neck to make your point! You are rude, insensitive and obnoxious! I used to think Cheryl was stuck up but baby you take the cake

  • Sharon - 13 years ago

It is time to get new judges for Dancing With the Stars. Len is an old coot who is out of touch with reality, and Bruno is just weird. Carrie Ann...what can I say.....unless you are Derek Hough, she can't bring herself to give you a good comment or a "10". As far as that goes, get rid of Derek Hough too. He always gets a young, experienced partner. It's like the producers know he can't teach an older, inexperienced person to dance, so they always help him out.

I want to see more of Maks, Tony, Lacey, and Kym. They are DEFINITELY the best dancers on the show!!!!

  • Joyce Kershaw - 13 years ago

I do NOT watch on Mondays , as I can NOT stand to listen to the Judges..I think they are rude & Hurtful .... Hooray for Maks for stepping up and telling them to not be SO very rude .. they take ALL the Pleasure out of watching the show .. they are SO nasty ..

  • Deb - 13 years ago

I totally agree with Raymond.. Let them teach and see how far they get with people who have no dance skills ..

Max was 100% right to tell Len off . I have been fed up with these judges for the last couple of years.

Bruno owes Chas an apology there was no need to be called a penquin how disrepectful is that and hurtful to say the least

  • Raymond Moore Sr - 13 years ago

I agree with Max and would like to take it a step further, and you may pass my idea to ABC, Carrie Ann, Len and Bruno should teach celebrities next season, and Cheryl Burke, Maxim, and Derek should be the judges for that season. I believe between them they have had the most winners and in Maxim's case he should get a turn in the judges chair. The current Judges speak of their years of experience, lets see what they can do as dance instructors. I think it would be great and the fans would like it. Also, I think the audience vote has been based on popularity, and is weighted to much compared with what the judges votes are weighed.

  • Barbara - 13 years ago

I too, have watched DWTS every season from the beginning. I have often found Maks attitude toward the contestant assigned to him to be unprofessional all too often. Many times, I have thought that he should not be on the show because of his inability, at times, to encourage his partner rather than berate her. I do not feel that he was standing up for his partner last night but simply had his own issues with Len's opinion. The judges are there to evaluate, comment on, and score the routines. Maks is a dancer and a very good one, not a judge. He should plan his routines to make the most of his partner's ability and within the guide lines set up by the program and or judges. Clashing with the judges is very unproductive and puts stress on everyone. The audience, also, should leave the judging to the judges and take the opportunity to voice their opinion/wishes/support with their votes.

  • I actually do dance - 13 years ago

Len said exactly what I was thinking.... Hope looked dreadful in those boots and NO ONE could have danced a proper rumba in them. Which was not Hope's fault - when Maks SHOULD have stood up for his partner was when costuming said 'here are the shoes Hope will be wearing'. She practiced rumba walks and had no chance of doing them in those flat shoes. Len can stay, MAKS CAN GO.

  • Gerry B. - 13 years ago

Since when is Dancing With The Stars Maks show? There are many other professionals who make this show what it is. Maks is an arrogant hothead who left the show a few seasons ago and maybe should consider doing that again.

  • Ronnie Fox - 13 years ago

It is time for all 3 judges to go! Keep the professional dancers, replace the judges. They say nasty things then try to cover it up with a "enjoyed it" final comment.

  • Mary Alice - 13 years ago

Max is right, if he was taken off the show, I would not watch it. These stars are working so hard and then to be embarrased by the judges is not fair, they can critic, but don't go overboard the way Len does. None of the contestants should be getting rude comments. Personally I believe Nancy and Chaz are much worst dancers than Max and his partner, yet the judges usually hold back and give them higher scores than they deserve. It's like they are afraid of giving honest opinions to these 2 dancers and then take it out on Max and partner. I think it is time to get new judges, But please leave Bruno!!

  • Denise - 13 years ago

I love Maks! He's a wonderful dancer and teacher, not to mention wonderful to look at! I don't blame him at all for voicing his opinion. They work so hard and I'm sure it's so frustrating to hear the criticism. That said, the judges are there to judge and I personally love Len and Bruno. Carrie Ann can be boring but those two keep the show interesting with their crazy comments. Shows are better with people not afraid of speaking their minds. So go Maks, Len and Bruno!!

  • Betsy - 13 years ago

Reading all the above comments made me realize how many times I have actually cringed at comments both Len and Bruno have made in the past. I would find it refreshing to have more current judges who have the verbal skills to constructively comment on the dances in a respectful way. To make hurtful, personal comments is so totally over the line of what the judges are there for. I also realize how much I love watching Max dance and bring his partner along. Good for Max to have the courage to say enough is enough

  • Don - 13 years ago

I think Max had all the right to say what he said. He is taking up for his partner. Listen to how some of these stars talk to their dancers. Hope was very nasty quite a few times with Max, but he is there to help her and he has a lot of patience. Len maybe a professional dancer, but he needs to learn to be consistant. Right now his favorite is the lawyer Nancy. He praises her to the sky, but if it wasn't for Tristan, she wouldn't be dancing at all. He remarks to that young man is uncalled for. I'd bet Len wouldn't take that kind of talk.
As for Max being disrespectful, Carrie needs to listen to how she talks to Len sometimes and how Brono talks to him, all three are disrespectfull to each other. It's ok for Brono to call people nasty names, but they don't like it when the truth comes out.
Thank God for Tom, he even makes remarks about Len being grumpy, if Len can't critize in a nicer manner, maybe he should give up.
Telling someone what they need to improve is one thing, but telling someone they are lazy, (not in those words, but saying she didn't work hard enough) is uncalled for.
I wouldn't blame Max one bit if he doesn't come back next year. Time for at least one new judge.

  • Cahow - 13 years ago

Go Max! I've had it with Len for the past three years. He just gets more cranky and bitter. EVERYTHING is "not my cuppa tea"! I do one of two things, now, when listening to the judging: 1) Fast forward past Len, or 2) Mute Len when he's on.

He's judging things based on ideals set half a century ago. Surely, there's another old Brit that could come across the Pond and judge things a bit more fairly? Getting a TEN from Len is like finding the Holy Grail.

Be gone, Len! Now go have a cheese biscuit and tea and watch reruns on TMC.

  • Karen - 13 years ago

I am pleased to see the majority of these comments supporting Max and pointing out that it's time for Len to retire from his judging duties....and maybe Bruno, too. I always have felt that Len makes his remarks with the deliberate goal of influencing the voting audience rather than with the goal of helping the celebrity dancer. In addition, he totally forgets that costumes and music are chosen FOR the dancer, and that choreography is not the responsibility (or the fault) of the dancer. He gives such mixed messages about entertainment and performance and technique, and those remarks are, almost without exception, aimed at contestants whom he very obviously likes or dislikes. If he likes somebody who can't dance at all, he gives high scores for entertainment, then criticizes the next person for poor posture, overall technique, even boots. He's never been consistent, and he has become downright cruel. The show seems to have enough trouble gathering together a sufficient number of celebrities to participate without scaring them off by his nastiness, which, by the way, he seems to be proud of when he turns around to address the audience. American Idol got better and easier to watch when Simon left, and I truly believe that DWTS would fare likewise if Len would leave. As for the penguin remark mentioned in so many posts: hasn't the propaganda against bullying reached the ballroom? Unconscionable, and Chaz is owed an apology, as is the rest of the cast for such an offensive comment from a judge. And. Carrie Ann: the argument was between Len and Max. Stay out of it. You're not Max's mother. He's entitled to voice his opinion even if it may have been a bit rough around the edges. Still, not as rough as "worst ever" or "penguin". I think the judges need to step back and realize that they are not the stars of the show, nor are they what made the show. The dancers are. All of them. Well, and Tom, who is unflappable and perfect in that job.

  • Larry - 13 years ago

I have been watching DWTS show since their beginning. I enjoyed most constructive criticism by the judges, until the last couple of years.
Len Goodman is probably a very renown dance official, but recently he has become cruel in his remarks and extremely aged in his understanding of new dance routines.
Bruno is a very funny individual, but sometimes his remarks are uncomfortable, bordering on "R" rated and needs to be more family oriented.
I think it is time to get at least one or two new judges on this program who can give positive critique as oppose to degrading, cruel or unfair remarks.
I also think Max is a true professional working with those who are dancing challenged and supports his partners. Good on you Max!

  • Susan - 13 years ago

I applaud Max for standing up for his partner. The judges are just plain crude, rude and most of all disrespectful. I almost stopped watching the show when unnecessary comments were made to Buzz Aldrin. American idol changed their judges and the show is much better. I think it is about time Dancing with the stars does the same thing. I love to watch Max dance. I have been voting for Chaz, not because he is the best dancer, but because the only reason they put him on the show was for the ratings. they openly critizied him and not a word about Carson Presley being openly gay. Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against the gay community. I personally don't think that some one wakes up and says I think I will be gay. I really like dancing with the stars, but it more of a popularity vote than a dancing vote. Calling Chaz a penguin was uncalled for also. When Chaz is voted off; I am done with the show until they get new judges.

  • Sally - 13 years ago

Woo hoo! Someone needed to call out the judges on their crap. Their scores rarely match up with their comments. They dislike a dance and yet score 8 across the board - the standard score Hope and Max received prior to last night. I'm all for judges commenting - that is what they are there for. But be respectful about it. Give some valid critique. Saying Hope and Max don't work hard enough is just plain ridiculous. Calling Chaz a penguin is assine - but then it came from Bruno and he is an idiot. Thank God for my DVR - I record the show and watch the dancing. Skip the judges and their stupidity. I think I'll drop the show completely now until the judges are changed.

  • dolores - 13 years ago

It is time for new judges. I am sick of Len and Bruno. They are old and cranky. Max was right to stand up for his partner. The stars are not pros. I would like to see Len or Bruno try to play soccer and by judged. The judges do have favorites. If Max is not on next season I will not be watching. Get rid of all three judges.

  • LadyP - 13 years ago

Way to go Max! It's about time these judges were put in there place. They are there to judge the routines not make rude and hurtful comments. Was it really necessary for the "penguin" remarks made by Bruno! Len needs to get a grip and they all need to be consistent. Why shouldn't the pros speak their minds....they are the ones busting their humps week after week trying to make dancers out of these "stars".... they take just as much responsibility for the good or bad performances. The judges need to keep their comments to critiquing the routine and keep their personal opinions to themselves.

  • Dee Mccoy - 13 years ago

Len is a judge and he needs to tell the stars the good and the bad about their routine but last night was ugly on all parts.......Len , Maksim, and Carrie then Butto came and made down right rude comments on Chaz wow, just judge the dance and leave your personal opinion out of it.
Maksim should have voice what he was feeling but he too took it a little to far and I believe she will go home tonight but not because of that but because she has not improved and neither has Chaz.

  • Laird Lazelle - 13 years ago

Way to go, Max. Stick up for your partner. Goodman is out of touch with the show and is inconsistent with his judging. He does not realize he is on an entertainment show. There is a reason strict ballroom is not a prime time event, but relegated to venues in hotels. The judges are not respectful of the hours these "stars" put in, many time after performing a show or traveling. So the producers put Hope Solo in boots as part of her costume and Goodman criticizes HER choice. Goodman is a British twit. With the loss of viewership this year, DWTS should take a clue from IDOL and shake up the judges.

  • Sally - 13 years ago

I have been a fan of dancing with the stars since it began. I have seen often where the judges have called contestants out with degrading comments about their dance. They have done it in front of millions of people. Constructive criticism said appropriately with respect is one thing telling someone they look like a penguin on the dance floor is sick, nasty and hurtful. This is a great show that America fell in love with stop hurting the stars who are doing their best in the dance. Let's put all three judges in a competition out of their comfort zone and knock them down when they do their best but still suck......see how they like it.....while max may may be full of himself at times he is a damn good dancer who can hold his own against any of those judges or any professional and he does help make the show what it is along with every other person who participates. I give him credit for protecting his partners feelings and effort. After all Len goodman it may have taken you 50 years to get where you are in dancing the stars on the show have been dancing for a few months........get a grip sunshine......

  • ruth kletke - 13 years ago

Please, please, please DWS get rid of Maks by next season, says this Canadian grandmother. I"ve been involved with live theatre @ musical theatre for 40 yrs. I feel so sorry for anyone who gets him for a partner. After he has lost his cool in front of the cameras in past seasons he STILL DOESN'T LISTEN. He smacks his partners, constantly puts them the down (belittling comments), dropping 'F' bombs. Wouldn't viewers benefit from him learning how to show respect by keeping his mouth shut instead we here BLEEP BLEEP BLEEP!!! I am so sick of how he treats people and constantly plays to the camera while performing and hardly ever looks fondly at his partner unless it benefits him. YOU'D THINK HE OWNED SHARES in the network the way he protrays himself. Being a pro on DWS is a privledge. Nobody deserves abuse. As for Len or Bruno's comments I think they are great at coming up with creative ways of pretty much the truth.
