yOU TROLLS ON ALL RECALL SITES KEEP REPEATING THE TALKING POINT, RECALLS SHOULD BE RESERVED FOR OFFICIALS WHO COMMIT CRIMES AND SUCH. iF A PERSON CAMPAIGNS ON ONE PLATFORM, THEN AFTER BEING ELECTED HE DOES A 180 THEN THE PEOPLE HAVE A right TO RECALL HIM. RECALLS SHOULD BE RESERVED FOR THINGS LIKE CRIMINAL ACTIVITY. CRIMINAL ACTIVITY SHOULD RESULT IN POLICE INTERVENTION, INVESTIGATION, AN ARREST WARRENT BEING ISSUED THEN THE REPUBLICAN BEING ARRESTED AND JAILED JUST LIKE ALL REPUBLICANS SHOULD BE.

Someone who campaigns under false pretenses should not remain in office. Paul Scott campaigned saying a list of things he was going to do to help education and then, once in office, did the complete opposite and proposed legislation that has been hurting education. Recalling him will not only let him know that voters don't appreciate a politician who blatantly lies, but it will show all politicians that they need to follow what they said they would do when they campaigned. People vote based on who they feel will represent them the best based on the campaigns. Politicians need to learn that they need to stick by their campaign promises or be ousted. We the people need HONEST representation!

If you don't like the way your elected official votes you should vote them out at the next election. RECALL should be reserved for things like criminal conduct...not a difference of opinion on issues. Energy would be better spent locating and supporting a candidate you like for the next election.

This doesn't tell the whole picture. The recall effort was not pushed through by the MEA, only endorsed. Scott also is a far right wing Republican, which is fine. However, he does not practice what he preaches, as he fathered a child out of wedlock w/ a staffer. Very much the polar opposite of what he supports in regards to family values. Additionally, he campaigned on one set of ideals, then once elected, completely changed his strategy. In many ways, he did the exact opposite of what he said he would do. But worst of all, Paul Scott is a liar. While the MEA spend just over $300,000 in lobbying, Michelle Rhee's "StudentsFirst," an outside of Michigan education group backed by billionaires who believe in a free market education system lobbied w/ over 1,000,000. To add to this, they have been paying his legal bills as he continues to try to get out of being recalled. Funny though, he says he had no idea she was doing that: http://www.mlive.com/news/flint/index.ssf/2011/10/michelle_rhee_group_students_f.htmlHe is one bad dude. Unless you are a believe of a free market education system, in which it is not a system for ALL... you cannot believe in StudentsFirst. Even as a diehard Republican, the idea of no longer having community schools but instead outside corporations coming in and delivering their beliefs and methodologies for instruction is scary. Personally, I'd like a reform measure of local control. Get the CEO's out of your kids schooling. Let ME, the parent, make sure they are getting what they need. In the end, I trust myself and parents more than Bill and Melinda Gates, the Waltons, Bloomberg, etc.
