Should parents involve their children in political protests?

    Barbara,
    Thank you for your comment. I agree that my young child would not be there during the raucous. I don't remember ever being on the frontline of any protest as a child but, I do remember working behind the scenes of all kinds of things. Perhaps that would be a better opportunity for some.

    No, teach them about protest and spend more time talking to them instead of at them. Let them know why you are out there and please, let them know if it REALLY made a difference. I feel that many times, now a days, things really don't change. After being arrested and shot with rubber bullets you still didn't accomplish anything. They should have moved out of tent city. It was very unsanitary and I don't think children should live like that. My opinion only.
