Mcquery did not help that child because he saw it as an opportunity to advance in his profession. How else can he explain his inaction? He told Joe. So now the failure to alert the authorities rests with Joe and his conscious is clear. How else could he close his eyes at night and peacefully sleep? He would have had to rationalize that his actions were adequate enough to protect any future acts by this man.
So after a few months and nothing happened to Jerry, what went thru his mind? After a year, after 2, after 5 years how did this man sleep at night? How did he sit in church and close his eyes and contemplate God? Did he wonder how his omission was viewed by God?
My take is he got his job in exchange for his silence. Piece of s*** does not come close to describe this sorry excuse, waste of flesh for a human being.
He should spend the rest of life behind bars. Sandusky should be put to death. And I hope paterno dies a miserable, painful death.

What human watches such an act of violence on a child and does not go help the child right then and there.? How did he not react and go to the child's defense? That is my question.

I have been almost manic in searching, and hoping, for news that McQueary had been fired.
McQueary demonstrates that his abject cowardice continues. He is not man enough to admit that he failed as a human being, nor is he man enough to be ashamed of himself.
McQueary’s indecent lack of immediate intervention, most probably enabled a pedophile to continue to abuse an untold number of children for years! There is no excuse. None. McQueary, himself, told the Grand Jury he observed the rape of a 10 year old child, with his own eyes! And…..left.
McQueary did NOTHING to insure the safety of a child being attacked, NOTHING to follow up on the health and welfare of that child, and virtually NOTHING to bring a pedophile to justice.
Penn State needs to send McQueary the message that his inaction, above all, was unacceptable. He needs to be fired! MORAL CLARITY NOW!
