Why do claims of sexual abuse often go unreported for years?

People are afraid to report these behaviors. They believe the system will bury them and they will end up the ones looking crazy.

People are evil. They don't do the right thing because they are more worried about themselves.

People want to believe in the greater good and don't make decisions based on isolated incidents.

People just don't want to get involved. Period.
