I don't go into the "this actor is better than the other/same league" thing. It will most likely end in this is my opinion and that's that. That's also fine. The only argument I have a problem with is the "Chris Colfer plays himself". I take it you really haven't seen him outside of Glee or just take into consideration that character and actor are both gay, hence "it's easy!". Thats so far from true.
Chris Colfer fans are blocking up the comment section. Seriously, you can't be serious. That kid isn't even in the league of these other actors
My year's best entertainment came from the one and only....Phil Dunphy. He should definately win!!!

@Jonathan, he won a Golden Globe because the Hollywood Foreign Press Association are GLEEKS. He is the Tracy Morgan of 'Glee'. He basically plays himself like Morgan does on '30 Rock'. Eric Stonestreet or David Strathairn should have won. They are better actors. 'Modern Family' also should've won instead of 'Glee'.

Yes @Andrew, Chris Colfer is so obviously over-rated as an actor, which is why the Industry Experts nominated him for an Emmy two years in a row and why he has also won a Golden Globe. Your bitterness and jealousy are really showing there Andrew! Just because you may not like Glee, or the character Chris plays, or whatever it is you have against the young man, does not mean that you can dismiss and deny Chris Colfer's extreme talent as an actor and overall performer. Chris Colfer has proved himself time and time again that he is one of the best actors out there today and he deserves to win this and many other future awards.

I am voting for Chris Colfer because he makes me cry , a lot , his acting for Grilled Cheesus , season two of Glee killed me in the heart , and his facial expression when he gotten hurt makes me ached . He is the only person in Glee that have made me laugh , but most of the time , cry. Ironic how it's called Glee because I cried more than I ever laughed. People directed blind hatred to Chris because he's 21 , but he has won awards and became famous , but it is immature to voice your hatred towards someone so sweet and amazing because of some opinion you have and a topic you don't really understand . But if you have watch his performance and saw his interviews and what he has done , and still hate him , I can't say much about that . I always make a No-Hate comment on polls like these to make sure don't send hatreds . Chris won the majority here , I can see , but however , I don't think any less of the other actor , just that Chris has won my heart especially. So, don't send any hatred towards other actors no matter what actor you are voting for . And I am done

My real vote would be for Ed O'Neill, but of course, he's not listed as a choice. The showy characters on Modern Family are great, but I love Ed's deadpan delivery.

But people who win Golden Globes, get nominated for Emmy's, write their own movies and star in them and write novels on top of it all, do.
Also, I just want to make sure it's clear the comment about Chris Colfer was sarcastic. An incredibly lackluster season filled with over the top acting and sloppy storytelling should not be rewarded.
