Gov. Andrew Cuomo opposes extending a surcharge on wealthy New Yorkers, which expires at the end of the year. Should the "millionaire's tax" be extended?

I do not even come close to qualifying for this tax, and I think it is extremely unfair to put an additional burden on those who are very successful and have provided jobs for me during my working career. Putting more money in the hands of our government at any level only reduces my rights and the number of private sector jobs that drive the economy. It provides more funding from the hard working public for the government to squander and use for corrupt ventures. It takes money from the successful and competent and puts it into the unqualified and wasteful spending hands of the politicians and bureaucrats
