It's not about being on the left or right here it's about Jeremy Clarkson totally misreading public opinon on this. With 2 million + people taking action (potential Top Gear viewers / BBC licence payers) it seems at best insensitive and at worst totally bigoted.
This could be a Jonathan Ross moment where people stopped seeing Jeremy Clarkson as irreverent and more as an offensive twerp.

I'm no fan of Mr JC but wake up people it's just a flippant comment he made. I'm an Hgv1 driver and when he made the comment about us hgv drivers were rapist murderers on TopGear, I just took it on the chin. JC makes some controversial statements for sure but he says it without malice, obviously the morons who have complained about him in the past & present do not understand his style.
In the motoring columns he writes in and on Topgear, he often writes/talks about how good petrol is, especially in V8's and puts down those vile Toyota Prius but nobody seems to complain about that, get a grip !!!!!!!!!!!

Joking about starting a riot gets you 4 year in jail. So calling for the shooting of 2 million people on national TV should equate to live in jail, one would think. Oh wait, he's mates with the PM, he could probably go and actually shoot them all, and get knighted for it.
