i agree that none of them were really funny. and you can't do the mime club one because it alludes to something that you would be breaking the first two rules by alluding to.
I liked #2 a bit but, for the most part, found them all forced and unfunny. Reminds me of the efforts of Think Geek Overloards - they are sad also.

Nick is correct... Flash Gordon is the hero of the 1980's scifi film by the same name. The Flash, aka Barry Allen, is the character featured in the #9 t-shirt. I think it looks great, and, like JKC says, it "has staying power." The manatee t-shirt also has staying power. Maybe you guys should let everyone get four (4) votes, since you will be featuring four (4) shirts. Just my two cents.

Flash shirt has staying power and its not trying in any way to make a statement...(except that the Chive is awesome)

I agree with co-lab's comment. I think the manatee one is priceless, and it won't become unfunny in a year. I really hope I get to order the hamburger of the sea next!

The Santa one is by far the funniest but it has problems. It a Christmas shirt and it they made it today and I ordered it, I could wear it about 1 week before Christmas is over. If i decided to use it next year the joke would be lost because nobody will remember the occupy cop thing. It will be an OLD internet reference like "All your base" and such.

I don't want to sound like a poopnose, but Flash Gordon isn't remotely related to the Flash pictured in number 9. Flash Gordon was like a spaceman super hero back in the 80s

I'd rather have a Whiskey Tango Foxtrot shirt...
