it was/is a good idea.
i like knowing about remix contests but only if they are open and interesting.
Generally, I would be more inclined to take part if it is run through soundcloud for stems and uploads (using a group page).
i got tired of reading about the chance to remix mickeymouse musicians for their mickeymouse labels (blatant marketing ploy).
As well as that, it's off-putting if the contest requires having an account with a website that i have never used and would never use again.
just my 2cents...
