i think Peyton Manning should be the mvp. at least the broncos had one win without tebow.

Grew up in CO so I am biased and live in San Diego, CA now. Have not followed the Broncos much since Elway left, but Tebow brings a fire that cannot be denied. Talk about entertainment. I follow the games and am shocked that he is able to pull the bacon out of the fire just in time, almost every time. It seems like luck, but some QB's help make luck for their teams and Tebow is that QB.

The fact that 60% of LA Times readers think Tebow deserves the MVP over the two legendary career years being played in New Orleans (Brees) and Green Bay (Rogers) is a good indication of why Los Angeles is undeserving of a pro football team.

Tebow is the MVP in the NFL because his ratings are off the charts. When Tebow is on TV everyone tunes in to watch the latest miracle. Another Packers blowout loses people in the 4th quarter. Ratings put money in everybodys pocket, the NFL, the networks, and the Broncos. Then there is the talk radio and ESPN debate frenzy which brings in more ratings. Rogers ain't even close to Tebows ratings.
Tebow is the MVP going away.

to sum it all up. Tim Tebow will be MVP !! i mean this is a guy who's been criticized pretty much all of his football career. saying he cant do this! or can he do this? . And every time he's proved himself. he has always let his actions speak louder than so many words. his faith in God and his faith in himself will carry him to his goals. which is always prevail. i am a better person for watching him play and his character.. nothing much else to say.

I think Tebow deserves a lot of credit and praise for his leadership and turn around of the Denver Broncos. But, should he be the NFL's most valuable player? No. So far Aaron Rodgers deserves that award. Does Tebow deserve NFL rookie of the year? Maybe. It's between Newton, Andy Dalton, and Tebow and i honestly think Dalton deserves that Award. But none of my choices to not choose Tim in these awards is meant to take away from his success and great story, because in the end, the reward is success + winning, not awards handed out for individual effort. That's the 1 thing Tebow has done, win. So for the Tebow faithful, I'm sorry, he really doesn't deserve MVP. But for a chance at a playoff birth and maybe even more? Now that is way more valuable then a MVP win! Having said that as my prediction, the season is not over and if the Broncos were to rally to the playoffs under the command of Tim, then i might change my vote (like my vote really matters). Crunch time is coming! Go Niners!

I think he's worthy of the recognition because of his performance but much more because along with it if you listen to his answers in post game interviews he gives the credit to the team, and he has said he's a football player first and then a quarterback. he gets it. it's not about the money it's about the game. He wants to win but he understands how to take a loss if it comes and gives his Lord the glory for it all he truly is grateful to be sitting were he's at and doesn't take it for granted and I hope he continues to bless the Broncos with his talent and commitment to being the best he can be no matter what come may. He's like Joseph sitting in a difficult situation and being blessed in spite of it and everyone connected to him A.K.A the Broncos and fans are blessed as well because it's not about him it's about who he really plays for.

Tim Tebow for MVP. Yeah, I'll vote for that - he is a real athlete, a leader and a great human being. We should all have more Tebow traits.

  • Gaby C - 12 years ago

    A-Rod all the way.

Aaron Rodgers is the leading candidate based on performance and his team is undefeated. Now, if Tim leads the DB's to the Super Bowl......I'd reconsider.

these last second wins speak for themselves.
The issue is not style or analysis . A quarterback who can rally his team at the end and march them to victory is extremely valuable!!

You people are IDIOTS, except for Jack. MVP?! There are about 30 players that I would vote for over Tebow. This is the dumbest poll & article EVER. And now I'm done wasting anymore time on this topic.

Tim is a great human being, the type I hope my daughters end up with someday. However, this is not the MIP "Most Inspirational Player" award. All those who say he is the MVP of the league are like over emotion-able fans who pick their 13 point underdog teams to upset the favorite straight up. Feels good until it's time to pay the bookie.

He has 5 come from behind wins because he stinks for 45+ minutes a game. To call him an MVP caliber player is to insult the real MVP caliber players like Drew Brees, Matt Forte, Aaron Rodgers, and Tom Brady. You guys who think Denver's winning because of Tebow haven't been watching the games. No, he's not turning the ball over, but they're winning because the defense is shutting down the opposing teams, getting turnovers and scoring points. It's great that he's a great human being and the team is winning with him at the helm, but he's not the NFL MVP. Not by a long shot.

    1 turnover in 6 wins (7 starts)

    several 4th quarter come backs

fantastic runner who creates plays with his feet and extends plays

critical throws when the team needs him

Inspirational leader, who the team believes will get the job done.

Denver is 6-21 with Kyle Orton at QB in last 27 games. Tebow has won as many games in 7 starts! They now leads the division on a team that was once 1-4.

The case for MVP is very strong.

Tebes is a baller...plainly...leave it at that...he'll be there at the end...hopefully at the very end...Superbowl...he can do it...just watch...

watching from the Big Valley in California, USA...Tebowland!

I have been a Denver fan when Elway was a rooky. Its so much fun when you win like Elway did. Haven't had that much fun as a fan sence , till Tebow time! It all started when they made him the started, sure its the whole team getting it done, but Tim pulled it together. He's a leader, and no matter what others say he's a great QB.

He has so many haters and that draws positive energy from his God and people like me for instance who is a Dallas Cowboys fan but would give anything to see him win a Superbowl even if it is a fluke.Elway and Fox need to have more confidence in him.He is a leader and a hardworker.Maybe not the best but with hard work he will get better and he has nothing taking him away from getting better like anger problems dog fight guns women and other stupid stuff the talented but not discplined players in this league. He is every guy's dream for his daughter.I think people are jealous of him. He will get better. He will I promise you,I am praying that he wins and shut those stupid commentators mouth.

Not to mention this year's horrible start, it took the Broncos 20 games (5 months) to get 5 wins in last year's preseason and regular season. With Tebow as starting quarterback the team has come alive with 5 wins in just five weeks. His leadership, enthusiasm, determination, and improved play have made him worthy of the praise, and has proven the doubters dead wrong.
