If we started off the tradition of retiring soccer jerseys in MLS, we might as well keep it going by retiring Andy's. Put it right next to Jason's. A testimonial match has to be in the works too. I'm sure we could get some of the old players to come back for the game. Eddie Pope, Clint Mathis, Brian Dunseth, maybe Jeff Cunningham (if he can stand to be on the same field with Kreis w/out killing him) and of course Jason Kreis himself. Would be awesome!

The statue is too much but I think the testimony game is what the players want. The song is what true soccer fans want. and retiring his jersey number is what the general fans want. So why not do all of them and make everyone happy. He's an original. Put his name and # in Rio Tinto. Make some awesome song. and let's win a game for the man.
Think about how cool it would be to have a song we sing at the 77th minute. Winning or losing in the match at hand, this would build atmosphere and be a tangible part of our history that all fans can experience. It would be with our team forever.
I agree Julie, we need an all of the above button! I think 2012 needs to be the Year of the BommaDog. He was the fan favorite for more reasons than just his amazing skills, but because what a great person he is.
I wanted an ALL OF THE ABOVE option. How about we throw a party in the off season for him. Would give us something to do in the depressing time of year and it would give us a chance to show tribute to him. I also think they should retire his jersey, maybe during the first game of the season and have a REALly good half time or pre/post game celebration of this.
