It is good to see that people are getting on the "keeping it clean" bandwagon. I teach FoodSafe and hand washing and it is really important to stay safe. When you are sick with a cold, change your pillow case every day. They used to change the linens in the hospitals every day and they used to wash them in very hot water too, which helped to keep the spread of germs to a minimum as the hot water killed bacteria and viruses. Hand washing properly - for 30 seconds with warm water and pump soap could stop the spread of 99 % of disease producing organisms.

the other tip... no matter how early in the morning or late at night... when you get out of bed to go pee, wash your hands afterwards. It may be your own body and your own bed but do the right thing and wash your hands. Pee is only sterile if it is still in your bladder and you don't have a bladder infection.

A nurse in Vancouver, BC said that it is important to never touch your face, nose, eyes or mouth when out in public as that is where the bacteria and viruses love to enter your body.... wear nice winter gloves or mittens or in the summer some nice smart white gloves and if your nose itches, you can take your glove off and wipe your nose and put your gloves back on... learn to take them off and put them on easily and as hygienically as possible. Bacteria grow and divide every 20 minutes so one bacteria can become 33.5 million in 8 hours - don't leave the chicken , any frozen food or the ground beef on the counter to thaw out while you are at work, thaw foods in the fridge in a container that will keep it from dripping.... turkey lore... you can cook them from frozen... look it up.... 1 hour per kilogram at 325ºF.

    Have a wonderful day.
