It's definitely an interesting way of looking at things. I have to be honest here, I'm a die hard Colts fan and not drafting Ryan Leaf was the best decision Jim Irsay ever made. I don't care what a single person in this world has to say... I believe a player is measured by how well they perform in their position, and theres not another player in the game now, or ever before, who plays their position better then Peyton Manning. Now I know you're thinking I'm only saying this because I'm a Colts fan. I hate to break it to you though, Peyton Manning would be the greatest player weather I was a fan or not. His numbers and achievements speak for themselves. This year has proven his status as the most elite QB in the league of the fact that essentially the same exact team that went 13-3 in 09 has gone 2-14 in his absence. That makes him the most influential offensive player in the business. Sorry to tell you Pats fans, but Golden boy Brady ain't got nothin on that guy PEYTON MANNING!! 4 AP NFL MVP Awards > 3 Superbowl Rings.... He is a general, plain and simple. He is the most consistent player in football (absent his sub-par post season record) love him or hate him, you have to admit that he is the best Quarterback to ever ever slang the rock up the field... THAT'S WHY I'M LAUGHING AT KAI's DUMB A** COMMENT...

Now with all that said I'm confident you know my stance on the situation... Hold up just one second... The AP NFL MVP Award should go to the player who has performed the best in said year... Sorry Peyton, I got nothin but love for you, but NO PLAYTIME, NO AWARD!! Even though you are CLEARLY the most valuable player in football today. Actually I believe the MVP Award for the 2011 season needs to be split!! That's right, I said it, SPLIT!!!!! This years award should go to both Aaron Rodgers and Dru Brees... and if you don't agree with that statement then what the eff were you watching this year?? Both men performed beyond anything you could ask of a player and because of that, to choose one over the other just couldn't ever be justified! Review their stats for the year and I'm confident you'll see where I'm coming from...

Actually, we have seen NE without Tom. NE the last 5 years averages 13 wins per year with Tom Brady, and went 11-5 without him, thus making Tom Brady worth an extra 2 wins per year for NE. Peyton averages 12.4 wins per year, and Indy is going to go 0-16 without him, a difference of 12.4 wins per year.

He's the Colts MVP not he NFL MVP....these poll numbers can't be right, there aren't that many dumb people in America...

Has to be the dumbest suggestion I have ever heard. Any team could go 0-12 without a quarterback. Remove Brady, and replace him with someone other than starter caliber Cassel, and the Pats will tank. Take Rodgers out, and the Packers sure as hell aren't undefeated. If Manning deserves the mvp without playing a down, then he should have won every mvp for the past nine years. He isn't the best player in the league when he is healthy, and he's even worse in his current state. Dont make me laugh.

I think to be the MVP you should have to actually PLAY! If they gave him the MVP without actaully playing, what message is that sending to the rest of the NF? You can play your hardest but we'll give the award to someone who sat out all season. That is totally absurd! he obviously isn't an MVP in any way, his team can't play without him because he's so picky everything is tailored to him only. He sucks as a coach or assistant coach because he can't even lead his team to win.
