Should counties be able to set their own gun rules?

This was settled in Washington DC. Gun laws written for local controll are unconstitutional. On a funnier part of the law and the part I suspect bothers the local officials more than the gun business is the threat to their power making ability being backed up by a fine and getting kicked out of the club by the legislature. What other State Laws will they target enforcement and State compliance rather than local compliance? Get fined if you don't repeal? That's the real story here.

One, if not the biggest reason we attained our independence, was the fact that our population was well armed, and for the most part, crack shots. Make no mitake about it, our second amendment was designed to curb the ambitions of an out of control government seeking to subjugate a freedom loving population.

Wasn't this question settled in Macdonald? The anti gun folks must get over it. The 2 amendment is popular and most people would rather have guns if they choose to exercise that right.

Normal people understand the natural existence of the right to bear arms, the plain language guaranteeing us that right and the clearly documented history that led to its enshrinement in the Bill of Rights. Those who distrust individual freedoms in favor of an all powerful government are horrified by the idea that one person could possess enough power to lawfully resist with force unacceptable intrusions into his or her life.
