Should county change Ag Reserve rules for charter schools?

Please be more reasonable and factual in your editorials and reporting. The land use amendment still requires that any proposed development be considered on a CASE BY CASE basis. This would just make a school one of the allowed uses, IF a school is approved to be built.
THIS WILL NOT OPEN THE AG RESERVE FLOODGATES OF DEVELOPMENT. Please stop with the mistruths.

I am a recent homeowner in canyon. I knew that only an elementary school was built, and that middle and high school was up in the air. I don't like the fact that my child will make friends in our neighborhood and not get to go to the same school with them as i did growing up. Middle school in east boynton... High school in boca??? This is ridiculous!! I am shocked the county will not build the schools that are clearly needed out west, so I am definitely all for the charter schools. I want my children to have the same luxury i had growing up... Good schools... With good friends... In the SAME NEIGHBORHOOD! This isn't about politics or racial profiling, it's just about parents wanting the best for their children. I am a blue collar worker who just wants the best for his children.

I don't understand how something that really is a win-win for the community as a whole, can turn into something so political. This is not a blanket request opening up all ag land for development; I grew up on a farm and am fully in support of taking care of our environment. The great thing about this proposed school is that it will go above and beyond to protect our local environment and teach our children about the benefits of agriculture. I couldn't be more pleased and excited about the thorough, diligent work the West Boynton moms and COWBRA have done. How sick that you would turn their facts into an article that has clearly divisive motives.

Children are being bused into Boca Raton for 45 minutes to over an hour to attend middle schools. West Boynton is being built for young people. We need more schools in the area. Charter schools have proven to be successful.
