Do you think "The X Factor" elimination procedure should be changed?

The judges are there precisely to do that - JUDGE - not to feel sorry for any contestant, including the ones they mentor. If they cannot do their job without feeling sorry for the contestants, then they should not be judging anyone at all!!! It is always best to be truthful and, above all, fair to all competitors. Based on performance, Rachel earned a spot that was denied to her by Nicole's inability to do her job as a judge.

it looks like Nicole is a real dingbat...she still does not realize what she did. You know how Pontius Pilate washed his hands before he gave Jesus to the mob? the viewers of the Dec 8 performance DID NOT HAVE A CHANCE TO VOTE, NICOLE!!! too bad you have not figured it out yet.

  • Marie - 12 years ago

One more thing is sorry Nicole if Paula has to vote one of her own groups home I think you should be able to vote for someone thats not even in you over 30's. I hope you guys bring Rachel back. If the judges cant do there jobs let them go. I think Nicole has saved people because she wants Josh to win send the good ones home and it will be easier for him to win. I actually had Josh, Drew and Rachel in the top 3 and you and L.A messed up! Nicole and L.A need to learn how to let Simon talk he lets you try letting him talk. He may be a little hard sometimes but, it is usally right. I mean he even went online and said who he thought was the best of the night and it was not one of the girls.

  • Marie - 12 years ago

I have to say Rachel should come back there has been changes for making changes and sending an extra people home the following week. It has happen in So you think you can dance and America Idole. I look at it as in the bottom 2 the first time you can say the fans, 2nd time it in how they song, 3rd time I think they should go home with out any save me song!! Nicole I think you are looking at who you feel has been nicer to your people and you, well its not about making friends grow up!!! Simon I love the fact you do what you are doing and saying how it is yes it could be a little nicer some times, but at least you are not telling people they did good and they didnt. They need to know that they did not do a good job so they Can improve for the next week. I think Drew and Rachel did better and should not have went home. I also belive that L.A and Nicole sometimes Paula are upset because you had all your girls so they wanted to send Drew home so you did loose someone.

  • Anne - 12 years ago

I have lost faith in the show! You need judges that can judge talent and not stupid loyalties. I am sure Rachel will bounce back and get on her feet but she was surely robbed of the save song!

  • Rich - 12 years ago

Wow! Is this show about the judges or about the great contestants we have seen and heard? I think, it's all about the judges. About pride and your singer isn't going to beat mine; not who is the best or has the best talent. I think all singers are awesome. But the judges, or has beens (just a few), need to act like judges. They are there for a reason, to judge. If you cannot make a decision on whom to send home, then please leave the show, or take out the part that judges can save a contestant. I believe that the judges should write down the name of the contestant they are sending home before any names are mentioned. That way no, I don't want to make a decision, would be seen. It started off a great show that is now disappointing. Hope they can get it going again.

  • Don - 12 years ago

For me, the whole process lost all credibility last week. Forget the "save me" song if you are'nt goint to pick the best one. What Nicole was thinking i will never know. Even L.A. Reed knew Rachel blew his guy clear out of the water. I don't like the "mentoring" thing....makes the judges forget what they are there for. I mean, you could ALMOST understand his loyalty to Marcus since he (L.A.) mentored him...except for one thing.....the whole purpose for this show (are you reading this judges?????? if not, please do....) is to pick a singer whose performances deserve a 5 million dollar recording contract. Last week you obviously forgot where you were.

  • tammy - 12 years ago

I think if your in the bottom 2 more than once you should be the one voted off. as for the save me song everyone is right it's not done fairly the mentor's always votes for theirs singer whether there better or not, just go with the viewers votes, lowest votes go home period.

  • John Page - 12 years ago

This past week was the last straw for me watching this show. This whole mentoring singers is nonsense and I believe that it has detracted from not only the show but has eliminated singers that shouldn't have been eliminated. The constant back and forth between the judges has taken away the pleasure of watching the show. L.A. Reed and his treatment of Drew on a weekly basis saying that she sings the same way every week, when his own singer Astro sang the same song and style every week. This past week I was blown away by Rachel's performance in the sing off. You have to be either death or a complete idiot not to tell the difference in ability. If you put 100 people in a room and heard the songs I believe 99 would say Rachel won. It wasn't even close. Canty should have been eliminated weeks ago. His wanna be Usher imitation has fallen short 3 weeks in a row. As far as Nicole goes... Please.. enough of the drama... the sing off is the final step in elimination. How can you say Rachel lost or that it was even close. LA Reed the definition of character is when you take a stand even if its not popular. You should have told Marcus that I love you dude.. but she out performed you. That would give the show credibility. Rachel was getting better every week and Marcus was just plain boring.... The judges blew it and it was bad enough when Drew went home early not to mention LeRoy. This show has no credibility and is an absolute joke. I hope people enjoy the rest of the season but the way it is going, I know people i know are tuning out. Simon you have the right to be pissed, because the other judges aren't judging fairly and are playing a stupid game due to stupid rules. When it gets down to the live shows.. The judging should be on each performance and no more mentoring. Give constructive criticism and let the at home audience determine outcome. The sing off doesn't mean anything if the best singer is sent home all the time.

  • Lorri Flippin - 12 years ago

Voting should be left to viewers. The elimination process is stressful and unfair to the contestants, the judges and viewers. Sure Canty has been in the bottom two for three consecutive weeks, however we do know that for the past two weeks, he did not have the least number of votes. Why put a contestant through such stressfull situation and possible elimination. The judges are just rediculous, of course each will vote for the contestant that they have mentored in all fairness to that contestant. The elimination process is WRONG, it's UNFAIR, it's STRESSFUL and a judge should not have the power to make the final decision when the viewers have already voted; the contestant with the least number of votes should go home. I have heard the judges say that the public will make the FINAL decision as to who will win; apparently NOT, especially when x-factor judges can override a majority viewer vote. When it comes down to the last two contestants, will the two sing a "save me song," or will the contestant who has the majority of votes win? It is my guess that it will all depend on who that person is and who the judges would like to win. THE X-FACTOR ELIMINATION PROCESS STINKS, IT IS UNFAIR TO CONTESTANTS, VIEWERS AND JUDGES, IT IS STRESSFUL TO CONTESTANTS, TO VIEWERS AND OBVIOUSLY TO THE JUDGES, IT IS WRONG, IT IS WRONG, IT IS WRONG!!!!!!!!!!!!If there must be a "save me" in the show, it should be for the contestant with the least amount of votes solely; and should be exercised only once during the entire season.

Nicole couldn't judge herself out of a brown paper bag. Unless she is tone deaf, she had to hear that Rachel out perform Marcus. What is wrong with her with the crying and can't make a decision. Now a talented beautiful girl didn't get the second chance she deserves. Nicole had no problem putting Marcus thru the last couples of weeks, let's see what happens if he ends in the bottom with Josh. I bet she want loveeeeeeeeeeee him then. LA gets on my nerves too. It's hard to believe he is a music industry mogul. Don't worry Rachel you are a star and you will be one.

  • Reginald Hocking jr. - 12 years ago

I also think that Rachel was so much better than marcus.Going for marcus was L.A Reed the mentor and nicole who truely was in love with marcus every since she heard him.Rachel,s voice blew Marcus right off that stage.Paula was honest ,she also loved Marcus right from the start like nicole.but if your going to be a judge and get payed big money mentor or not you have to pick the best voice out of the two and send the other packing.i hate to say this,L.A. and nicole are looking to send Marcus to the top and no matter what knocking the rest of the wonderful singers out.Pick the talent not the person.Simon Cowell you have a very powerful show in the X-factor.If this is how its going to be showed You will get millons stoping to look at the show anymore.Just think if the two people on that stage was 1) Elvis Presley and 2) marcus canty would thay both send Elvis home.Like i said vote the talent not the person thay like.Maybe in order is looking for judges that will pick the talent.Don"t let this happen to Melanie and Josh .No one can come close in beating these two.

  • ARF - 12 years ago

Final note: Nicole claims she thought Marcus would be eliminated, so why didn't she vote that way? Another vote to eliminate Nicole.

  • ARF - 12 years ago

The deadlock and voting criteria need to be changed. Viewers vote 'for' someone for different reasons: they truly like the person or someone is probably safe so they vote for someone they think needs help.

Votes should be to eliminate, not save. The show needs to report responses for advertising dollars and I would guess more people would vote to save than eliminate, but this criteria would be decisive and without blame in a deadlock.

In any case, I vote to eliminate Nicole - she didn't do the job she was hired to do.

  • ex-x factor fan - 12 years ago

Simon, do yourself a favor. Get rid of Nicole. There is a lot of people out there looking for a job. Nicole should have been fired long time ago. Every week, she complained how difficult it was to make a decision. That's what you were hired for, Nicole! It came to a point that I recorded the episodes so I skip Nicole's and Paula's heavy drama. Simon, I'm serious! A lot of people think you are mean but you are always on the mark. For heaven's sakes, $5 million is at stake and they have to earn it. Enough reason for the judges not to let their emotions get in the way. There should be a limit to the number of votes a person could cast. Some people are able to dial continuously for two hours. I can't even if I tried...either my cell gets overheated or battery goes dead! Rachel vs. Canty would have been the easiest decision to make...everyone could see that, even L.A. Reid. Reid has invested on Canty so I can give him a pass for that but what was Nicole's problem. was their some lobbying going on between Reid and Nicole?" Support my mentees and I'll support yours" kind of thing?

    I rest my case.

  • xfactor_judges=joke - 12 years ago

Man, o, man, last week when Drew went home, I really thought to myself what the heck are those female judges thinking....I believe Drew out-performed Canty, now this week, another bad call, especially Nicole and Reid. The judges definitely should not be voting if there are going to be partial to the ones mentored, it is a bad voting structure and you know the two ladies should not have been sent home. Definitely not on the same level as American Idol.

  • Teri - 12 years ago

The elimination process on Thursday was appalling. Rachel Crow's last song was one of the most heartfelt powerful performances of year. Why have a save me song if its all predetermined. Appalling, political and disgusting.

  • jackie - 12 years ago

I thought that the sing-off was a great idea until this week. Rachel was so much
better than Marcus. He should have gone home. LA Reid should have voted him
off but he wouldn't because Marcus was one of his boys. Nicole Sherzinger, on the
other hand, was rediculous for not not voting Marcus off. As far as I am concerned,
she ruined the show. Rachel should have won that evening. (I do think, however,
that Melanie will win the finals.) If she doesn't, something is wrong. I probably
won't watch next year because I think it is disgusting how Simon Cowell talks

    to his co-judges. Extremely disrespectful.

  • Tom Cat - 12 years ago

The voting should be left to the viewers. The judges have their own interests in the people they are mentoring . This whole show is a complete sham ! It needs to be canceled.

  • Virginia Wilson - 12 years ago

I personally stopped watching the show after Stacey Francis was let go. I feel the judges should not be mentoring any of the contestants. It
is too obvious that they are partial to the ones they got to know so well and vote accordingly. I think they ruined the whole show by doing the mentoring thing....was a good excuse to show off the lavish homes they all 4 live in seems to me...

  • Bob - 12 years ago

Change YES, since the current judges cannot be relied upon to be professional: keep the emotions out of it and vote their professional opinion only based on quality of the performance(s). Nicole, as Paula is prone to do, caved in to her emotions and abdicated her vote. L A succumbed to a false loyalty and SAT on his principles rather than vote them.
I really liked both Marcus and Rachel although I admit pulling a little more for Marcus, this week, because of his previous two lows. However, they were to be judged by the previous weeks' performance (not all past ones) and in that regard I felt they were both tied. But, the save song CLEARLY had Rachel outshine Marcus! She should have been saved based on that performance NOT because she generally tends to be a stronger and better quality singer than Marcus.
Judges should first do their job and only upon true ties should they send the decision to the voting viewers. And, it should NOT be expected for a judge to vote for a mentee. What would be the sense in having them.
Amiss indeed! Shameful results and all the escalating in-house fighting, sniping and nasty remarks are also getting old.
Not always, but Simon tends to judge/critique truer to reality than he gets credit for!
Jury is out awaiting the anticipated changes to your show.

  • Eric Wood - 12 years ago

I must start by saying I have not been a Rachel fan, but I was blown away with her performance last night. If not the best performance of the competition to date, it was far and away the best last night.
When Nicole failed in her duty to make a decision on the performance alone, as opposed to wanting to appear the nice guy and believing that the public vote would save her, I said to my wife she will have a sleepless night if the public don't save her.
I believe Rachel should be brought back, and have two eliminations next week.

The judging needs to be changed to the public alone, as the way it stands with mentors judging quite frankly its rubbish!

Shame on you Nicole, you may well take a long time to to live this one down!

  • Karyn - 12 years ago

If a mentor has a contestant in the bottom two then they should not be allowed to vote. If LA did not vote and Simon did not vote then the results would still have been the same. Because Nicole could not do her job. Regardless, America voted Rachel off. Some say that they don't believe in the Judges voting...but I say that I don't even trust America to get it right. It's a popularity contest for the most part.

  • jim - 12 years ago

First of all they should have judges that are going to do the job there asked to do based on the performances by the individual singers , cause thats what they,re payed to do. Secondly why have a save song if your going to let the public decide, they,re casting there votes based on the previous nights performance arent they (daaaa). So those votes are totally useless if your going to use them for the save song. Based on last nights performance Rachel out song marcus and therefore , according to the rules that you all put in place she should have gone through to the next round. Instead you had judges alined with singers and not doing the job they were hired to do and other judges that can't even make a decision a deaf person could make. HHHHow Sad.

  • Gerry Ginsberg - 12 years ago

To say that the format of this show is nuts is an understatement. It's bad enough that the judges/mentors tend to favor their own, what Nicole did is wrong on many levels.
The whole idea of "Sing For Your Life" is that that very important performance could save the contestant. By Nicole hedging and not making a decision and purposely voting off Rachel Crow to create a tie that performance is now completely ignored. Rachel's singing of that Etta James classic was nothing short of brilliant. Yet now the elimination is based on the audience vote for WEDNESDAY'S performance, not the song that should have saved her. In the case of a tie, the audience should vote AGAIN and the results could open the following weeks show, insuring anticipation and a higher viewership.
Nicole Scherzinger is still a pussycat and not such a doll for wimping out on what should have been an easy decision. She will no doubt be replaced by Simon next year.

  • bjmnpnx - 12 years ago

This show from the beginning, has been upsetting for it has been more about the JUDGES, MENTORS, bickering, talking over one another, degrading the other since the beginning. When Nicole could not keep from looking at LA after he gave the nice compliment to Rachel of how he was really impressed how Rachel over performed his boy to his surprise, however he had to keep him and send her home.
Nicole kept looking to LA while stating she could not make the decision, as if to get an answer
from him as what she should do. She seemed confused saying she could not decide and went deadlock in tears. Marcus Canty being in bottom 2 for the third time and giving a mediocre performance less than Rachel Crow who was amazing. Supposedly Rachel had the lower votes from America the night before and was eliminated. Even if this was not what Nicole thought would happen, it did, and her trying to save herself from being the one to eliminate
Marcus Canty it backfired. Many are stating they are through watching this fiasco and those who were upset because of Drew being eliminated and refused to watch were not there to vote for Rachel possibly. Now lets see where Marcus Canty will be following next weeks performances and voting?(I will read about it) Appears a lot less will be watching the show who might be voters. I for one. The Judging/Mentoring/Voting process in this show leaves far too many spaces for favoritism, among the Four Judges. (Bring in outside mentors)... Not fair to those contestants regardless of their ages. Someone needs to go back to the drawing board SIMON and make some obvious changes. Don't know if one less judge or one more judge would help that problem. Cannot change it now for to do so would not be fair to those who have got eliminated this season already.
Rachel Crow will have a career somewhere but the humiliation and unfairness she had to endure (or anyone in this manner regardless of age) from judges lack of aptitude or their favoritism, will forever be a nightmare.

  • Noelle - 12 years ago

Rachel didn't deserve to go home! This show is cruel because the judges only vote for their contestant, when they should be voting for the best singer. AND who is worth the 5 million. LA Reid played a big part in this because he said "Rachel blew us away" and before said "you deserve the 5 million." Apparently that all changed just because he didn't have her as a contestant? What a bag of baloney. But, Nichole... oh my god. Don't even get me started. It was not fair AT ALL how she voted. That it was "too tough of a decision" to vote? Come on, what the heck. YOU ARE BOTH JUDGES, WHO ARE PAID TO CHOOSE THE BEST SINGER AND NOT TO SAY THAT YOUR JOB IS "TOO HARD". OR TO JUST PICK THE PERSON IN THEIR GROUP. wow, Nichole, LA Reid, you made a bad decision.

  • Ann - 12 years ago

Well said Victor Hall. I agree with you totally. If this show is truly about finding new talent and giving them a lucrative contract worth millions, then votes should be cast for the better survival performance. L.A. Reid is Marcus' mentor, but he clearly express that her performance was better, and should have voted accordingly. He would have received backlash, sure, but he would would have also received a heck of a lot more respect from the fans. Some moves in life cannot be redone and unfortunately this is one of them. As far as the voting process for elimination is concerned, I definitely agree that it should be based on the survival song, because as someone said viewers have already voted to put them in the final two, so they're singing to get beyond that and back into the competition....So judges should vote to decide who survives the lowe votes.

  • Richard Laca - 12 years ago

Nicole sold out! She knew that Rachel out sang and out performed Marcus last night. Yet she cried like a school girl instead of acting like a professional. Why not let the audience vote when there is a deadlock. I think the audience would take the job more seriously and base their vote on the " Save Me Song". Marcus has been on the chopping block 3 times; yet he continues in the show to win $5,000,000. Another way is to take into consideration how many times the contestant has been in the last two. In case of a deadlock if one of the singers has been on the chopping block more than the other...they go home. Simon why not have someone that is not in the business, but a person who is the consumer to judge. I'm available and would not wimp out or sell out. I would base it only on the performance of the save me song. NICOLE & L.A. GROW SOME!!! & vote for who sang the best during the SAVE ME SONG only.

  • Melissa - 12 years ago

It's quite obvious that this show has not been about the contestants for some time now! While I like both contestants, Canty has been in the bottom two, three times running...excuse me but between you 3 judges, do u even share 1 brain! If it was up to America, as the show claims it is, then duhhh America has told u three times in a row who to send home!

  • Carmela Caruso - 12 years ago

Of course the mentor is going to vote for his/her person. It's not fair. All of the judges have done it. It should be based on who gets the least amount of votes. In this case, it was Rachel. She went home. That's how it should be. That's how they do it on American Idol. The bawling real gets to me - especially with these young kids. Astro acted like a jerk, Drew and Rachel flooded the stage with tears. If you want to be in show business, be ready for many disappointments.

  • sheila julien - 12 years ago

create a kid's factor . 11-13 to young . THIS should only be for young adults-adults starting at age 17 . kids are growing up to fast, let them be kids and allow they to advance to the next level . KID'S SHOULD BE ALLOWED UNTIL THE AGE OF 16 MOVING ON TO THE NEXT
    LEVEL.

    kid's factor
    x-factor
    The factor.
    THINK ABOUT THAT !!!!

    SHE YOU LATER!!!

  • Ernestine - 12 years ago

I am behind Nicole 100%, she did what she suppose to do.She liked both of them and could not make a decision ,was she suppose to vote for Rachel to stay because she was crying? No.All three of the youngest contestant broke down emotionally, that was Ashtro, Drew

  • Lita - 12 years ago

Yes, it is completely messed up!!! Why shoud the judges participate in the " voting" or "saving"!!! However they want to call it!!! I do not think Nicole should call herself a judge!!! A judge of what when she cannot make a decision!!! I personally like both contestants, however; it is obvious the Rachel Crow is a better singer, and her voice is beyond amazing!!! Please Simon, change the rules and really let America decide who stays and who goes, so judges like Nicole do not make a ridiculous of themselves!!! As a matter of fact, Nicole should be the first voted off the show, I mean, since she can not make a desicion... what's the point of having her in the judging table... Nicole was crying " crocodyle tears" and her fakeness fits perfectly for soap opera!!! I mean, if she cannot sign, or judge!!! What else is out there for her?

  • Douglas Garcia - 12 years ago

In theory, the set up is fine only if the judges had the integrity to follow it. But because of loyalties to contestants they have worked with, career self-interests within the judges, and a lack of fortitude to simply be a judge, the format will never work in real life.

What has happened here is a few people want to create a show that will compete with American Idol, but the contestants have been sold a bill of goods that their hard work, talent, and intelligence will ultimately determine who wins. These contestants are nothing but "pawns" to be moved to create drama between contestants, exposure for some judges, and ratings for a new show.

It is my opinion that both L.A. Reid and Nicole Scherzinger apologize to the viewing audience at the start of the next episode for not doing the job as judge they were hired to do, and give all 5 contestants another chance with one extra person going off the show so they keep their schedule with the network. If the show has no self-less commitment to the process and rules of the show then the show is doomed to fail. There will always be enough tatent to find and star stutted judges to prop-up before us, but whatever the format they have to maintain the integrity of the show.

If L.A. Reid and Nicole Scherzinger don't apologize to the viewers they should step down or be removed for hurting the long term success of the show. All we have now is a what we didn't want: more focus on the judges than on the talent. How can that be a formula for success? I won't watch anymore.

  • Laura Hodges - 12 years ago

If Nicole Scherzinger can't make a decision then she doesn't belong on the judging panel. Marcus has been in the bottom two for the past three weeks. Does that send a signal to anyone.? She would have had to save Rachel as she outperformed Marcus as did everyone that he faced in the bottom two. I'm not too fond of the show and don't like the way it is run - groups, mentors, judges, etc. I will not watch it again if it comes back next year, unless there are some drastic changes.

  • wolfepac - 12 years ago

It is not the voting system it is the Judge's! Mentoring worked well for The Voice, but the judge's on this show are professionals. The X Factor Judge's are a joke. They are at odds with each other weekly and the contestants are suffering. Nicole needs to go. Crying and carrying on about not being able to make a decision and then to have a 13 year old saying "its ok you don't have to cry" She can't make a decision so she is not right for the show. Simon is disgusting this year as he is so arrogant and I have always been a big fan. They are spending so much money on this show and it is draining when comments come from the Judges. Paula is the rising star. She is honest, credible in her observations, and not allowing herself to become involved with cutting each other down. Simon gives her a bad time because she doesn’t have any contestants. Give me a break, everyone knows it is far harder to work with groups. This kind of show will have a single person winner. What message are the Judge's sending out - bullying!!! It was disgusting to watch the process develop. It was fair on who won the lowest number of votes should have been asked to leave. Again, it is the Judge’s who created the mess and Nicole is not a Judge.

  • Oscar Gu - 12 years ago

Go The Voice! Go The Voice! That show is much more rewarding and up and up than this Simon sideshow. X is overly populated with weak judges, who are condescending of contestant other than those they mentor. Most of their comments don't make sense, if you dissect what they say. Nicole and Paula are most guilty of this.

  • jaydog - 12 years ago

I believe the mentoring process should be done away with. The very definition of a judge is one who is unbiased and the judges are ANYTHING but unbiased. Nichole acting like an emotional wreck is absolutely silly. Nicole, you're getting BIG money to do your job as a judge, and you "punt the ball"? Come on!! As for Rachel Crow, I really like her and think she has a tremendous amount of talent, but even she went a little (ok A LOT) over the top last night. Just wondering....did anyone hear her yell at her mom, "YOU PROMISED" during the mess last night? Just wondering what that was all about.

  • richard schwebach - 12 years ago

If Simon cannot tell that the other 3 judges are against him something is wrong, you could tell it how they got together last nite and decided that Rachael was going home. My wife and I will never watch this show again, it was a joke, Rachael should of won last nite and probably should have won the whole think, Nicole, LA Reid and Paula should go and get some judges on there that will be fair.

Get rid of them now before next season, if they are on will not watch, wont watch it now that Rachael is gone

  • NSmith - 12 years ago

We have the same elimination process in the UK and it's worked well so far. Don't know why people are complaining if Rachel got the least number of votes then it is America's fault for not voting for her, therefore Nicole shouldn't even be blamed!

I just lost faith in the show and the elimination process. I see it now strictly as entertainment and no more. If the show wants to be credible again things have to change.
This show is no longer true to it's mission of finding the best talent. L.A. knew Rachel sang better and he was not a man of principle when he voted to keep Marcus. As for Nicole, I'm don't know what I can say, I am so upset. She took this job to be a judge on the x factor, well be a judge and not a complete emotional mess. She has a lot to learn from Rachel, a teenager, about handling herself. If Nicole did her job Rachel would still be in the show. Rached sang AMAZING and should be in the show.

Last nights show is an example as to why judges should not have a vote when it is a contestant they mentor. There is no doubt they (judges) will save their contestant above another contestant even though their contestant's performance was lousy. Rachel Crow out sang and performed Marcus Canty for the past two weeks yet he was saved by judges who have no business judging contestants. Those kids should be judged on performance, talent and showmanship. I am very disappointed in Paula and Nicole's judgement this season and LA should know better he is suppose to be a mogel in the business of music, he should know when a performance is well done and judge on true talent and not because he feels he should be loyal to the person he mentored. Simon, take your 5 million and find some real judges for next season, two really great girls has been cheated out on a great career in the business.

The judges should be rotated to mentor a different group of contestants every week, that way the save vote would not be as biased towards any one group. Either that or let the vote go to the fans as in American Idol.

I would like to preface this comment right off by saying I'm a 44 yr old male who has never commented on anything like this in the past,I'm also a Nicole fan, that being said I felt last nights episode was a complete joke.If the save me song is that, and these so-called judges are supposedly profesionals, not only was Nicole completely out of line but so was L.A. Ried in not sending Marcus Canty home last night and completely ignoring what may have been the single greatest performance (by Racheal) of thw whole competition.Shame,Shame on you both. All integrity of this whole show is completely lost as well as a complete home of viewers here,we no longer believe in this product and feel you had already pre-determined YOUR outcome
