As much as piracy needs to be clamped down, this takes it too far. In the end, by doing things like this, the US Government are just a bunch of fat idiots (with exception to Obama- the only President yet to actually seem capable of running the USA) who just widened the meaning of 'piracy' from "the theft and selling of stolen and/or counterfeit goods" to "Anything and everything that we cannot control in regards to any form of media circulation"!
That bill needs to be rewritten to only prevent the selling of pirated goods. And so long as torrent downloads remain free (which is not piracy because no-one can claim proprietary ownership), all they are showing is that they fear what they cannot control.
