Projector won't turn on, or other classroom technology failure.

Network outage making web resources inaccessible.

Wardrobe malfunction (fly unzipped, food spills, etc.).

Students unable to find room.

Students unwilling to leave dorm in single-digit (F) temperatures.

You do realize that just by listing these as options, you've ruled them out in favor of something unanticipated, right?

As a being of pure intellect, I have no need of class meetings at specific points in meat-creature spacetime. I love me some radio-button polls, though.
