As does NASCAR, should NHRA have different track lengths for at different drag strips? Example 1,000 feet at Pomona, 1,320 feet at Las Vegas or longer tracks?

While I'm not a big fan of 1000-foot racing, requiring the Top Fuel/Funny Car teams to field two different setups for both distances only increases the already astronomical costs to campaign these cars. Most NASCAR teams have one car for short tracks, one for the super-speedways, and possibly another for the road courses.

Not sure what the question is. The sport should be/was/based on/is a 1/4 mile length. They soon/are to fast for 1,000 ft. Would seem like one could slow the cars down to fit 1,320 ft.
