Try riding the 99 B-Line during rush hour. Enjoy paying 2.50 (one way) to be crammed like cattle onto a standing room only bus. Enjoy the 40 minutes of forced intimacy with the surrounding strangers and contorting your body to occupy whatever space is available amongst the pressing horde. The only people riding that bus are forced to ride by economic or ecologic necessity. Should we really raise the price on these people?

Why do few people question collectively splitting the cost of roads and car based infrastructure, but many balk at the idea of collectively splitting the cost of public transit? Yesterdays callous editorial claims drivers are "sucked dry" paying for fuel, parking and property; most commuters would love to be in a position to be pay these taxes!

The only reason they want an increase is because they can't even control their spending. Instead of cleaning house and cutting expenses, they just raise fares..We the fools must pay for their stupidities...
And they wonder why they can't get people out of cars and use transit...

For those who vote it should be free.... Nothing is free.
