Purchasing a new toy shouldn't be a life altering decision; rather it should be an economic and entertainmet decision. If one has the disposable income and the free time to play games, then I say go for it. As regards the PSVita, the games look great, the hardware appears solid, and the interface, while not without its quirks, borrows from already successful gadgets, read: iPhone, iPad, etc. which have proven to me their worth. The reviews of the imported Japanese release have been positive even if the numbers in Japan have not been strong, so I'm going to take a chance. What the hell, it's just a toy!

At least the Vita looks like an interesting device - half portable/half console. Sony have made a respectable gamble here.
