Should 16 and 17 year olds have the right to vote in the independence referendum?

This has been SNP policy for years and rightly so. If you can marry and be responsible for a family and until fairly recently serve as a member of the military in action the you should have the right to vote. Not only that but plently of 16 year olds are far more aware than plenty of 18-21 years and older. Don't tell me there are not 40-60 year olds you know that are incapable of voting and I am not talking about people with learning difficulties either.
