Would you eat Shark Burger?

Sharks are killed by the hundreds of thousands every year. Many people and governments are currently trying to stop the use of shark fins in soup. California has already passed legislation banning shark finning and NY is now looking to pass (and hopefully will pass) this same legislation. I am sure these women are not aware of the plight of sharks. But I am sorry, I hope that their business closes.

I said no way never, but when I was growing
up that is what fish & chips use to be, may they
should change the word never on this poll.
I am now a Master Scuba Diver Trainer and
diving in the underworld has changed me.
I do not even go fishing any more!

Not just a NO, but a HELL NO!!!! Let's stop killing the oceans by stop killing all fish, sharks, whales, dolphins, and etc.

The oceans are under threat from all the fishing. We need the sharks in the ocean to help maintain the ecosystem as they are at the top of the chain. At the moment they are being slaughtered by there thousands for shark fin. The fact that now the idea of a fast food shark burger has been introduced means more slaughter . I have been diving for the last 16 years and to see a shark these days is really rare.
It's just very sad that the idea has been formed to fish this beautiful creature to be put in a bread roll probably covered in ketchup and eaten in a few minutes without looking at the bigger picture.

Sharks have existed for over 400 million years, and
In the last 20 years many species have been over fished
To the point of endangerment! Many species mature slowly
& have long gestation periods, making it difficult for them to recover.
Why we should care? They are the apex predator of the sea, keeping
Marine ecosystems healthy. They are incredibly important to ocean health &
The abundance we all enjoy here on land! Because sharks are top predators,
They eat the weak & the sick. This means shark meat is high in mercury !
The FDA has recommended that children & pregnant women should not eat it!
    If you look at any
    beautiful reefs, teaming with
Fish, sharks are the key players! Extinction is forever! I would advise these ladies
To research sustainable seafood sources at seafoodwatch.com and learn about sustainable
    Options for their restaurant.

    This is outrageous!
Although not on the endangered list, sharks are a declining species.
The slow growth rate of these animals makes it a disgusting thing to do to them
With the barbarism of the Chinese obsession of shark fin soup, this just compounds the heinous acts of unnecessary slaughter
    Cease this, please.
It is cruel and not needed
