hey there and thank you for your info ? I have certainly picked up anything new from right here.
I did however expertise some technical points using this web site, as
I experienced to reload the web site lots of times previous to I could get it to load properly.

I had been wondering if your web hosting is OK? Not that I am complaining, but slow loading instances times will sometimes affect
your placement in google and can damage your
quality score if ads and marketing with Adwords. Anyway I am adding this RSS to my
e-mail and could look out for much more of your respective interesting content.
Ensure that you update this again soon..

I don't like having programs of any type sending data out automatically. This is not due to paranoia but because my current computer is not the best rig. Every connection and bit of data sent or received causes a slightly higher ping and can cause lag depending on the program. Yes, I know it isn't much but, right now, every little bit counts, I'm trying to enjoy the game the best I can and have already fought with the settings to get the fastest performance this poor little laptop can handle and I will not opt in to anything that will take even the smallest bit from my performance. If I had a better computer (which I should be getting in soon) then I'd be fine with it but at this moment, with this poor old system, every little kilobyte that I have to make the game run smoother counts to me. Those logs do take a little system resource to send, system resources I am just not willing to part with right now and I take steps to make sure nothing else is sending off data without me telling it to on this computer. Though an in-depth poll would likely give you more information, especially if you add a 'reward' of sorts for people completing it. You could get all sorts of information that way.

  • tifalonia - 13 years ago

No. Just no. I'm getting really tired of everything on the internet ever tracking every single thing I do.

Why don't you just open a poll instead. Or a survey. And reward people with a gif of a creeper at the end.

    "20% people play minecraft illegal."
You are dumb, seriously. Why are u call me a thief when I don't want to show u my underwear? I appreciate my privacy, u know?

You are dumb, seriously. First off, no one would even know who the underwear belonged to, unless your Mom still writes your name on it. Second off, it's more like showing your last layer of clothing than your undergarments as only mundane data would be collected.

You must be a very paranoid person, and people like you are how stupid conspiracies start. Data like this is collected by almost every single game in existence, and some don't even have the ability to opt out. In fact, data like this is collected on you all the time. Gameplay data simply let's developers know what to focus on in the game and as far as hardware concerns. For example, if they knew 78% of the community played much more on Survival than Creative or Adventure, they'd know to focus on Survival features first. Is that not a good thing? If I knew what kind of underwear a group of anonymous people liked, I'd know certain traits to continue to use or improve on in my underwear line.. if we really have to use your analogy.

Data is being collected on you anonymously every single day. Get over it. Be glad Mojang gave you a choice, and stop whining, or stop benefiting from the improvements that kind of collection makes.

It's like complaining about paying taxes then bitching that the highway needs to be repaired.

  • Tarkyn - 13 years ago

I think it's a great idea besides their game creators their not gonna do anything bad with the
    information anyway

  • billboe - 13 years ago

i think this would be a great idea. maybe in future updates, you could add other things to keep track of, like finding/leaving a dungeon, or a stronghold, the end, the nether, killing the enderdragon, what kinds of things you craft/cook/brew/enchant, how you die, if you died whilst in the generated structures mentioned, blocks mined/placed, game mode, difficulty, modded/which mods, custom maps ect. this way you'll have a clearer way of determining what kinds of things are missing good, and bad about the game.

  • Dustin - 13 years ago

I think this is a good idea, you guys are already tracking our logins, so there is no doubt that you will be getting our ip, wither you know it/record it or not, so some more data would be fine by me, plus its submitted anonymously so you wont be able to match play-time/game-play to the person, or even login, so if this is all true, i see no reason you should not track some extra data to help improve the game, hell, you have more people tracking you with facebook, or google, or tumblr, because all of these sites take personal data, and use it to give you ads/links/games/ect. that you might like, so whats the difference if you are using some of the data to improve a game that we all love anyways. Come on guys, lets do it for the better of the game its not like they'll be doing anything with it besides helping improve the game

  • Jeremy Felix D. - 13 years ago

As always with usage statistics, it should be opt-in only.
I have no problem sending usage stats to Google, for instance, but would never send them to Microsoft. It should be up the user and opt-in (not opt-out)

  • Gergy008 - 13 years ago

DO IT NOW THAT WOULD BE AWESOME xD

We want better Minecraft (As hard as it is to do that that's true)
You can only do that if you know how people play it >.

  • firekingster - 13 years ago

It would be fine to find cracked players. But I wouldn't like the fact that mojang is recieving mass data of ip addresses. Other evil companies/hackers could take advantage (hopefully not) Just saying its an if. Other than that if you could collect data of in game content, maybe make it optional. It would be cool to see that mojang has connected with my server. Maybe then we could also access downloadable contents and special events.

  • Elliott Saille - 13 years ago

I think it would be cool if you also tracked inventories and showed global blocks mined/placed statistics for every block, etc.. (how far Wollstonecraft have walked collectively, etc...) Now that would be AWESOME!!!!

  • er0rx - 13 years ago

    @zmr333
I think this is a fantastic idea. Better updates; sure! Opt-out mode; sure! Preventing cracked users; hells yes! Do it, Mojang. Don't listen to the other idiots who think it's going to lag up their game or if it's going to turn on your webcam.

    Cracked users
You were cracked user before unless youre a total idiot buying a game that you won't test/like.
I'm still Cracked user and Premium user. Becouse sometimes i wan't to connect to my server without other knowing it's the owner and spamming me with question about GM,OP and that stuff.
The thing is there is already a plugin for /whois it tells the ip and other stuff gm God mode
    I think it's essentials.
Why some player would need to know if somebody is OP or GM.
Owners of servers can easy just say /whois and get that information.
So think again before you comment something like that.

    Track Mods If You Do

  • Matthew Enderle - 13 years ago

I approve of this. I believe that this should not be optional, whats the point when for example only 100 people play a game, 30 of which opt-out and then an additional 15 can't stay connected or are pirating the game? That is only 55% of the overall data they are getting. I was thinking to my self to click no because then they could put ads in the game, but that won't happen because taking a user's conversation without them knowing and agreeing is strictly forbidden in many countries under the title of "Invasion of Privacy". For those of you who don't know, search on a site like newegg.com for computer parts and etc. Then go to a website that has ads on such as Youtube, you should notice that what you see is the exact same as what you just previously looked at. This is because the google advertising program, Google adsents, takes all the information that you search on the internet from your cookies in several milliseconds (1/1000 of a second) and query's ads relevant to your appeal.

So I think that this shouldn't be mandatory, because if you can't play or login because your internet is down or you use a data plan to connect and it's up. However you should not have the option to turn it off.

What would they want this information for? Well we all want new content, but how does Mojang know what world or environment to work on if they have to put a poll up on here and 45% choose a random option. Then they are disappointed in the content being in the End not the Nether, or a Flying Squirrel rather than a porky-pine.

    MESSAGE TRUNCATED!!!

  • Crysticks - 13 years ago

I see no problem at all with mojang checking out how we play. First and foremost, it allows for further development of the game. Seeing anonymous data provides the programmers to brainstorm ideas based on the things we build, what we build with, if we cave explore often, etc. Would you NOT want to be able to have a better game? It's not like they are going to turn on your webcam and see you playing in whichever attire you so choose, nor turn the mic on so they can listen to your conversations. For those whom see conspiracy everywhere they turn, suggesting a button in which to choose to keep from that anonymous detail observing from happening, or you can do what other's suggest and to block the IP address that the observing comes from. Surely, if you requested it, mojang would provide that information to you. Like others, I don't see what the big deal is. If you're not logged online, it's not like they can see what you're doing, anyway. Oh, the drama!!!

  • Fred - 13 years ago

If they do this they should make it so you can join other players joined servers.

  • Wolverine - 13 years ago

ONLY if it is optional! In other words, give me a tick box to decide whether or not I will allow it.

  • elston - 13 years ago

Finally, notch should also make it so cracked users cannot connect to the server
without getting the details of his name and check if its a legit account

  • SnowBerry - 13 years ago

I completely agree with "someone" Fix that issue now, I have a 32 bit OS and blocks in SMP won't dissappear when you break them, and they don't appear when you place them, only after playing for a while. The ram usage goes way up slowly and slowly, then that happens, then BAM! Ran out of memory. The only way to fix it is by closing the game, relogging, then just waiting till it happens again in oh what about 1 hour or so sometimes much less. :/

    P.S. Delta_64, you are stupid

  • Thadd - 13 years ago

Delta_64... Internet isn't a limited resource, besides you're connected to Minecraft.net all the time whether you're on multiplayer or singleplayer.

  • delta_64 - 13 years ago

i voted no bacause it will use your internet up if you don't have much and im not playing illegal i brought the game to support mojang

  • Micah - 13 years ago

I don't see what the big deal is. They are only going to track how you use the game, how long its used, what color underwear you are wearing, and what operating system you are using. It's not even really an issue.

  • GTMind - 13 years ago

Would be glad to share specific information, but as others have said, only sent when I say so. Like a button on the options screen.

Specifically platform and information that could help future development.

Great game. Top of my all time favorites.

  • Ratiy - 13 years ago

In my mind it would be great idea to have my data stored if it also give the chance to save one back up to a shell server incase if a world getting deleted like this last 6 mouths I have been trying to..... Just justing I know what kind of data he is talking about and I wouldnt care HAHA.

  • ration - 13 years ago

It's interesting that the results of the poll follow the 80/20 rule. Approximately 80% are for it, and approximately 20% are not. Interesting.

  • jordan - 13 years ago

I agree with "someone" I have a 32 bit system and my crashes quicker and quicker, it says runs out of memory, but I have more then enough memory . My system is ment for gaming also. So I'd second this bug to be fixed. But you probably wont. w/e.

  • someone - 13 years ago

How about you fix the bug on 32 bit systems where the game just eats more and more memory until whatever you have is used up and it crashes/gets too slow to play? It used to work fine for over a year, then started running out of memory at 30 minutes, then 15 minutes, and with the latest update (higher block id's and more blocks) I get about 30 seconds of running before it crashes. The game is not hard to run, my system easily surpasses the requirements and this problem happens no matter what the render settings are. It keeps working if I do not move to new areas even if all the chunks load. It is only loading new chunks that crashes it. The game never dumps information for anything you see so the more you see the sooner it crashes. This is simply unplayable on every 32xp machine I have tried.

    I have tried the bat file fix ;"C:\Program Files\Java\jre6in\javaw.exe" -Xmx1024M -Xms512M -jar "C:\Documents and Settings\xxxxxxx\Desktop\Minecraft\minecraft.exe" Still crashes

I have tried increasing the ram it uses by changing the numbers. Still crashes

I have completely uninstalled MC and Java. I have forced the installation of different types of Java. and then reinstalled MC. still crashes

The only solution that has worked was reverting to anything before 1.8 MC.

I have a custom overclocked system. It's as much as you can get out of windows xp 32 bit and it outperforms most current computers pretty easily. I max out everything else in 1080p including skyrim to bf3.

My new solution, not playing. I will be watching updates until I see something about this in the log. But I won't be holding my breath.

  • Adam Reece - 13 years ago

I would happily share this information with you anonymously in the same way I am happy for Steam to run its' hardware survey -- only relevant information, and a dialog with the accept/deny buttons.

This is reasonable. I appreciate how the post was stated. I don't feel bullied into anything.

  • Axmann8 - 13 years ago

I like Jeremy0506's "shower" analogy. It's creepy, anonymous or not.

This information doesn't seem like it would be essential to improve the game anyway. Minecraft is already a great game, and Mojang didn't have to know exactly how long our sessions were to get it to be great.

At least be decent enough to let us opt out, or don't do it at all.

  • Alex - 13 years ago

Adding an opt out would result in everyone optioning out, as hundreds are asking for it here, Mojang tracks non personal data if you haven't already read watch notch wrote, cant you fucking read? It's doesn't record where you are or shit like that, it records things like how you die in game, game mode etc. Mojang would end up getting no data if they added an opt out option, and it has probably already been implemented into the game. Idiots, please read what notch wrote about what would be collected, and actually use your head and think about it.

  • James D - 13 years ago

As a marketing/project direction manager I think that data collection is essential!

I do think that some of the points raised here are very valid:
    - Each user should be able to set his own preference of whether or not his data is uploaded
    - The load on the Minecraft login server is a concern; why not have the data collector collect data during gameplay and send one dump at each logout (or send data from the previous session at the next login)
    - Users should be able to see exactly what is being included in the upload
    - A crash reporter would be a great feature

    Most importantly:
    - Data collection should be transparent - publish anonymous data for all users to view perhaps on Minecraft.net

Not only would it be good to collect data from the game client, but also from the server as well.
Best of luck! I hope to see many improvements to an already awesome game!

  • ViperZeroOne - 13 years ago

I think a very good option, going along with this topic, would be an in-game bug reporter. That said, you should only have the option available in single-player mode so people don't report bugs that might have to do with 3rd party servers (such as Bukkit) which Mojang has no control over.

  • Nickster - 13 years ago

By the way Notch's post on snooping was posted months ago, and that's another reason it might be up. He had time to develop it.

  • Nickster - 13 years ago

When I was reading this I thought it was a bad idea but I thought it might be helpful for Minecraft aswell. I think you should put it in the options menu and ASK before tracking, like in a notification like when you have a choice to update. It's probably happening right now, because I'm running 1.2.5 and it takes forever (way longer than before) to log in, and it shows and updating Minecraft screen. It creeps me out because on 1.2.5 it never did that until last week. Try this: Go to asd.minecraft.net .doesnt work right? It's not a real webpage, that's why. Now try going to snoop.minecraft.net (from bananagram) and it loads! It's a real webpage and they're peobably tracking everyones account. It would be awesome if you will let us choose, but if you don't then people will get mad.

  • Darts100 - 13 years ago

I think it's a great idea. Add an option to opt-out for those that don't like it and then we'll all be happy. I think it's nice that notch actually asked us first, a lot of "BIG" games don't even ask before they do stuff like this. So just chill out everybody

  • bananagram - 13 years ago

    What it would probably be:

"User 4839932 has version 1.3.1, using Solaris on i386, is playing multiplayer on server x at 127.0.0.1, has been logged into server for 57:30, has been logged in for 11:15:27.
User 4840126 has version 1.3.1, using Windows 7 on i86_64, is playing single player, has been playing for..."
    etc.

If that creeps you out, which I can kind of understand, you can block snoop.minecraft.net or whatever it is.

My problem is this, there are some of us in this world who don't have internet that would cope. Sure its only a small amount of data once every 15 minutes but you have overlooked plans in which the company charges data in 1mb increments, and their cap is 500mb or less. For these people this would kill their internet. Don't annoy the fanbase. Also, why would you want this info? Make a poll less accurate but you get the hardcore fans opinion. In a world where privacy is rare, try and stand out.

  • TTiger66 - 13 years ago

    Dear Friends,
Be warned about multi-player online games. Some of them seem so innocent. There are ALWAYS people out there actively poisoning our kids' minds. I just discovered a conversation happening somewhere in the world on the popular game, Minecraft. I was just looking over someone's shoulder and read a conversation two people were having about a snuff movie from Serbia, where a girl was raped with barbed wire. It had NOTHING, NOTHING to do with what was happening in the virtual girl game that my 9yo daughter also plays sometimes (via single player)!!!!! I am so furious that this horrific information is available for children to read, consume and subliminally digest. This is NOT spam. This is a real parent and one extremely concerned angry mama!!! I am already sending this information to the press, I am a print news journalist and feel it is also my social responsibility to help the police track down these people that make snuff/porn movies and think they are legally immune from the legislation of various countries regarding the exposure of such discussions of rape/snuff movies to minors.

  • jake - 13 years ago

Everything that adds more operations "slows" the game down. If you've got a low amount of FPS for whatever reason (slow computer, lots of people on the server), removing 2 for three seconds introduces yet another spot of lag.

  • jake - 13 years ago

I think it should be opt-in or opt-out. The reason is that anything like this would possibly cripple the game if you were not in a networked environment for whatever reason (I know you have to be in order to log in), or it could slow the game down, depending on implementation.

I'm not really sure what this would really accomplish either. After satisfying your interest, you what, keep letting it run? It'd just be detritus in the code that does something useless and takes up network bandwidth.

  • Aerith - 13 years ago

People need to stop freaking out.

1.) It's not going to get your credit card information by connecting to Minecraft (oh wait they already have that, since you paid for Mincraft with a credit card).

2.) It's not going to freeze or crash or lag your game - A few functions would be written which would perform maybe 100 operations to set variables to true/false or integers and decoded on THEIR servers end to find out what you're doing. The physical connection to your computer would cause maybe 1 FPS lag for 2 seconds during the connect. It's not going to ruin gameplay.

3.) The data collected (as Notch has stated) will be so incredibly general that you'd have to be moronic to think they're really 'tracking' you. Tracking would be watching every second of your gameplay -- as Notch has stated, it will most likely connect every 10-20 minutes to gather general usage data.

4.) You're already being stat-tracked IN THE GAME. Remember that stats page? You don't want to be 'tracked' by having them gather similar stats such as those? Then never look at that stats page again, because it's the exact same thing.

5.) Stop calling Java garbage and that it runs slow on all computers. Minecraft tends to run slow because of the astonishing amount of data manipulation required for the game to function properly. Doing a bot-check for stats isn't going to slow it down farther.

6.) Cocktail party-goers need to stop talking like they know exactly how Notch is going to hack their Minecraft and throwing out big words to scare people into saying no to stat-collecting. There's nothing harmful in this. Sending a request to a multi-player server querying even 100 online players for 5 KB (500 KB total) of data isn't going to crash a server you idiots. It's not going to take 5,000 pictures of your environment, it's going to collect simple data most likely in a storage scheme involving several different codes for different types of activity (i.e. death_status = 569; 569 = death by lava) to be decoded by THEIR computers once they receive the data and compiled into data sets to be further processed. Once you know something about computer science and software development, then run your mouth about lag and program crashes. Until then, you know nothing so stop assuming.

7.) Isn't Minecraft a free game for hundreds of thousands of people who play Single-Player mode? If it's free, quit fucking complaining. If you don't want to help improve the game by sending them general usage stats, uninstall it and play something else. For those who DO pay, you should also quit complaining. It was a suggested topic to help improve the game. They're not going to remove lava from the game just because 5,000 noobs die from it every 10 minutes. They're going to contemplate decisions first, and probably suggest the possible changes to the community based on the gathered stats before they even think about coding them into the game.

    ------------------

Take a fucking chill pill already. Everyone else does it, but they don't even ask you. Runescape? Tracks you. Naruto Arena? Tracks you. Every other website including the whole of the Internet? Tracks you. You can't go online without being tracked, so get over it. Your IP (which shows your location and your service provider, etc.) is necessary to get on the Internet. If you want to whine about people tracking you, why don't you petition the government for Internet anonymity instead of bitching about your GENERAL GAME USAGE STATS being collected to better the game. IF you people seriously worry about that stupid shit all day, I wonder what you're going to bitch about when you run into real-life problems.

My vote is yes to usage-collection. It'll give helpful suggestions to improving the game without having to hear/read 10,000 nerds whining and bitching on forums about what they want in Minecraft, and "WHY THE FUCK" it's not already in the game. The stats are anonymous as they're collected. Stop bitching about privac

My fear is that this will lead to more specific information being collected, which would then lead to the "community" having the greatest effect on how we all play Minecraft, rather than Mojang. I think Mojang has done a stellar job so far and I'd hate to see it messed up in an attempt to make a percentage of the community happy by changing something in the game that everyone else was fine with. The data collected might only show the people who were having trouble. For example, if 30% of the "future" data collected shows that people are dying every 5 minutes from falling, an update might include less damage from falling. This would take away from the realism for me. I think general data collection is fine, but I caution Mojang from getting more specific. The more information you have, the more decisions you feel like you have to make.

  • Alex - 13 years ago

Seriously, let me put this to you guys in another form:

Mojang will track data, but what they track is:

PLAY TIME (NO PERSONAL INFO HERE)
OPERATING SYSTEM (NOT REALLY PERSONAL INFO)
GAME MODE (NOPE, NOT PERSONAL INFORMATION)

THE SERVER IS CONNECTING NOT ENTERING THE GAME, SO THERE WILL BE LIKE -2 FPS LAG.

Adding the feature to be able to switch off data collecting would be stupid because everyone would just go 'stuff that' and switch it off, and mojang would get no data.

Cmon guys, Mojang is doing this for you. Think first

Its like staring at someone in the shower. Exactly, a foggy glass door blocks the private parts from view and only shows a somewhat distinct outline of legs and a head.

  • Mona man - 13 years ago

Well for one, if it were optional, I wouldn't have an issue with it. In fact I'd be a lot more comfortable if, instead of the game connecting every 10 minutes, it'd collect data which I can send whenever I want.

  • Calum - 13 years ago

Only if we can disable the feature else hell no.

  • chitsuko - 13 years ago

i do believe its ok for anonymous data but with the choice in the app for people who doesn't want to.

  • jackson - 13 years ago

i dont really think that sounds good. it could spam i mean i loveeeeeeeeeeeeee Minecraft
but i just think thats really a bad idea to me :(

  • shepardson69 - 13 years ago

There is nothing bad about letting them snoopy beccause you don't know anyone eltse but your friends in minecraft and notch said that it was to be aunonomus to others

  • dhmmjoph - 13 years ago

In response to the comment below:

The blog post where this post is also posted (see link above or visit notch.tumblr.com) details what types of data they would want to anonymously track. This includes game mode, operating system, length of a game session, and whether you're playing the downloaded game or the applet on the website.

Why has it not been made clear exactly as to what information they require? That is what makes this sound dodgy, the fact that there is nothing being stated as to what information is being collected, makes me want to take even more precautions in my information being disclosed because people cant just keep their noses out of other peoples business. If they actually stated 'this is purely for the prevention of hackers', or 'this is only to prevent piracy against those with fake accounts', i would accept.

  • otterz - 13 years ago

Dafuq... It's not like he can see what you're doing. Just continue fapping/gaming and it will be fine. They just want some information.

  • mr.tophat - 13 years ago

whats the next step banning us for doing something wrong it is evil, its like staring at a person in the shower

  • Chocogrl - 13 years ago

Come on, now. Isn't there anywhere people can go without being tracked? Isn't there anything we can do without being watched? Isn't the fact that everyone loves your game good enough for you? Why can't people just play a game and enjoy themselves privately like we used to? I don't mind computers, but this tracking thing is just out of hand. I won't stop playing, but I'm sure disappointed that you're thinking about this. I highly doubt you're not going to do it because I know you want to. Make sure it doesn't cause lag in anyone's game. Getting killed by a mob and losing all our stuff cuz you wanna spy on us isn't the top on my list of likes.

  • Typo7 - 13 years ago

Alright it looks like all of your commenters have
    come to the same conclusion:
"We're fine with it as long as you agree to make it optional,
and anonymous. OH and don't listen to all those pirate posers, they probably
go to deviant art and copy+paste the pictures and call that 'pirating' . "

    luelinks users:
"Dafuq.. lolno, i'm fine with it. ;) "

-Speaking on behalf of all of the users with any common sense.

This would just slow down the game, and it's already pretty slow on most computers because it's programmed in java

  • syphontwo - 13 years ago

I like the idea, but I would like for it to be when a session is closed, it sends all the data rather than a constant connection. Also making it an optional setting that is easy to turn off for those who are less computer savvy.

  • Derek - 13 years ago

i like the idea but at the same time i hate it ever 10 min lets have a lag spike sounds good not
mabe if it recorded everything and send the data when you closed the game or left a server or world

  • Krenair - 13 years ago

I've just looked through how this is done in 1.2.5.
From clients, it gets the MC version, OS, OS version, OS architecture, total memory, maximum memory, java version, OpenGL version and OpenGL vendor. It does this when you start a game.
From servers, it gets MC version, OS name, OS version, OS architecture, total memory, maximum memory, free memory, java version, CPU cores, current players, maximum players, number of different players seen, whether the server uses auth or not, and the server mod name.

In 1.2.4, it would get whether a client had opened the title screen, creative singleplayer, demo singleplayer, survival singleplayer or multiplayer.

If you're still worried about this and want to block it, simply open up your hosts file (google it) and set snoop.minecraft.net to 127.0.0.1.

Its not that bad its not like he can see wat ur doing

  • niggaking - 13 years ago

Are you fuckheads serious? This is a terrible idea.

  • titen - 13 years ago

this sounds a lot more awsome than the already is

  • KomradePavel - 13 years ago

It's cool but you'd better not send my IP

  • bob - 13 years ago

    8========D~~~~~~

  • Aurelia Wisenri - 13 years ago

I wouldn't object to this, but like some others have suggested, it should probably be optional, to appease anyone against the tracking. There's also the issue of people who frequently play without an internet connection, and people whom it may cause to lag.

  • David_Draven - 13 years ago

I don't object in principal. I'd be more comfortable with it asking me when I log out if I mind if it sends my play stats, rather than constantly needing to be connected.

  • Asomefacemine - 13 years ago

I hate this idea because when your on a sever they will ik it and say wat most of us are doing hidden chest they might know were it is now

  • fire2590 - 13 years ago

    I think its cool

  • Nick - 13 years ago

I think it's obvious if you implement this, it should be an optional feature.

  • noirknight - 13 years ago

my only concern with the sending data thing is how much lag will it cause and will there be a option to turn it on and off in the chance it lags some people out my sole problem is will it make it so less people can enjoy the game I have had personal exp with this problem were games want more and more data to the point that i had to quit because my computer just could handle the stream of data anymore

my suggestion is make a option in the game and let people make the decision can my computer handle this because i'm positive you die hard fans will love to give u data to improve the game we all love thanks for listening love the game

  • Dave - 13 years ago

I wouldn't mind. Knowing Mojang, it would lead to some really useful features. These guys know how to do cool stuff with stuff. I am totally okay with it. It's gonna help them make the game better for us.
